As a young family of 3, staff of ibis Styles Ambassador made us feel like at home for our 10 day stay. They were pleasant, warm and attentive to our needs. Special thanks to their desk staff Carmen Yeo and Amy Song, who always greeted our son with a smile and made him feel welcome. 24/7 convenience store on level 2 is a life saver for grabbing last minute essential or late night snacks. We had dinner with guests at Food Exchange and would definitely recommend. Their bakery/cafe on first floor serves amazing pastries. Room itself is wearing, especially the timber floorboard. During busy hours, hot water was slightly lacking pressure but not a deal breaker.

Modern hotel c/w bar, room service menù and rooftop dining and pool. Room is wide and clean. Staff is professional and kind. Bar offers a wide quality of delicatessen (cakes and snack and bread). Breakfast proposes high quality dishes ant taste from asian and international cousine, everything with care. A small business corner can support you with a PC and a printer. At the hall you can even enjoy with PS5 😀. Hotel is located very close to Yongsan metro station (just 5 minutes walking). Nice and comfortable location in Seoul!

The entire complex was built couple of years ago so it's still quite new. In this particular wing there are 7 elevators, not a long wait and you need a room card to select your floor. And I think you have to hold it near the reader while you're pressing which sometimes caused me to not notice my floor isn't selected when riding with other people. On check-in I was told my payment didn't go through(even though booking was made through their official website and i never received any emails of a failed transaction), so I had to log into my banking to check if that's true, so check-in took a bit of time. Room is pretty clean. I only stayed for three nights and I think I skipped on cleaning. If you get a high level floor you'll be rewarded with a very nice view on Seoul, the skyline is pretty clean, this is one of the tallest buildings around. The SE side is still empty, there wasn't too much construction going on there when I stayed. Breakfast is good, there is some choice. Maybe add more drinks to choose from. And maybe more local stuff. I ordered a cab to the airport for the next morning and it was right on time, even earlier than I asked, which is nice. It's not TOO easy to go from the train station if you're loaded, but they're working on it and I believe a bridge connecting the station and the hotel complex directly would be ready in the coming years. I was hanging around Yongsan market a lot during the day, it's an interesting place and most sellers offer good discounts if paid in cash. Note that in the IT equipment building sellers don't offer duty-free shopping and you can't claim a tax refund at the airport with the receipts they give you. I'll leave you to guess why that is, but the offers I got were really low. The final tags I got the stuff I was looking for were substantially better than buying locally in Japan, even without any refund, can't really complain. It's overall a great time to visit KR in 2023, as they have an easy entry procedures and not needing K-ETA for 22 countries(which means if you're lucky, you save 8~9 bucks) until somewhere in 2024 but you'll have to confirm that on their immigration website. Quarantine info(if any) can be filled out online prior to flight and you don't need to write that card, just show the QR code when asked and be done. I was there in April, it's probably even easier now. No spyware apps needed, everything done in your browser. Immigration card fill-out is necessary, don't be a person kicked out of the long queue to re-do your card. Enjoy your stay.…

The hotel is a very good compromise if you're looking for a place from which to take some day trips from Seoul. The hotel lobby is physically directly connected to the Yongsan train station (i.e. KTX), via an indoor covered walkway. To get to that walkway, walk to the Novotel side and go to the 2nd floor. You'll see Food Exchange there. When you get to that restaurant, turn around 180 degrees and walk yo the other end of that short hallway. Turn right, walk down that small hallway, and you'll see the walkway to the train station. To get to the nearby convenience store, just walk out the revolving main door, up the small hill, and turn left. You'll see the convenience store on the left. The basic bedroom is a very good fit for a solo traveler. As others have mentioned, the basic room is a bit small for two people and also the bathroom area offers basically no privacy. My travel companion and I were happy that there was basically no noise from the trains to disturb us. We were on the 10th floor and we barely heard anything all weekend. The soundproofing from the outside is excellent. I was, however, a bit disappointed in how the staff handled my credit card during check-out. They seem to type a lot of extraneous stuff while holding your card. It is very unnecessary when they have already swiped your card. Also, do be aware that their downstairs bakery is closed some mornings until 10am. But if you need an early-morning pastry or croissant, just go to the Novotel 1st floor bar next to the elevators, they have some baked goods there. Overall, if you are a staycationer for just 1-2 nights around Yongsan, or you are interested in shopping for electronics or appliances, or you are a tourist looking to have a convenient accommodation with easy access to the KTX train, or you are looking for an economical option at a hotel with a casino, this is a very good hotel for you. …

Very well-placed Hotel next to the train station. Very clean, toilet bidet wasnt working when we arrived but promptly fixed. Staff (in particular Kevin, who helped us check-in) there are polite too. Great place for convenient travel

I stayed in the hotel last week using my free night award. Check in count staff was so nice and clam. She really tried to explain about hotel and facilities So i could understand all of them even the hotel was very spacious. if you have some tier they treat well with funny presents. I used junior suite room where have beautiful view. you can watch the Han river and normal Korean's life.

Stayed for 5 nights. Staff were friendly and generally able to communicate with simple English. Staff at counter were friendly and professional. Staff at concierge were able to help with simple request but they were unable to help with more complex information or request due to lack of understanding (English) and we had also a different understanding of concierge service (e.g. I needed their help to make a dinner reservation at another Accor hotel nearby and to help ask if there are any dining privileges. They were unable to help.) Love their sauna and gym. For sauna, it's like a mini jjimjilbang (korean traditional spa) complete with the public bath, hot (green tea) pool, cold pool and sauna room. It was great for us who were too shy to go to a local public bathhouse. For the gym, you can do your workouts overlooking the city/han river/beautiful sight. Really regretted not bringing along my workout stuff. Location of this hotel is great! Many buses and trains available. Both yongsan station (with KTX to busan and many other areas) and sinyongsan station (lead to places in town like myeongdong etc) are within a short walking distance. It is also located near Han River and wholesale fish market (just a few bus stops away). It is also to safe to take public transport at night. Latest we got home was about 11pm and there were still a lot of people around. There is also a massive shopping complex beside it with very good food and cinema. You can also choose your comfort level from the different hotels in this complex (accor hotel ranges). For accor members, simple welcome drink and some welcome gift (nuts & drinks) as usual. Only qualms was the lack of dining privileges here (compared with some countries where sometimes it usually range from 15% to 50%). Either that or they did not understood my question. …

My first time staying at the latest Accor chain hotel. This Dragon city Yongsan come with 3 hotels all under one roof which is the Mercure Ambassador/Novotel and Novotel Suites and Ibis Styles Ambassador. Pros:- 1)Right behind the hotel is the Yongsan KTX Station and Shinsegae Shopping Mall and you just need to take the outside elevator next to the Novotel suites hotel and walk less than 8mins you will reach there. 2) It is a quiet ambience, and without the so called touristic spots noisy clients. More of business and also family leisure type of hotel. Even though I saw many groups stay here like the local sports team and some business events group stay here as well. 3) The room is sound proof so it's still a very good environment to me. 4) Rooms are just nice for either solo traveler or a couple for the superior room but if you have lots of luggage then better get a suite room as the superior room also not enough space for the luggages. 5) There is the airport shuttle bus services by paying around KRW 13,000 or 15,000 if not wrong. Just wait in front of the Mercure Ambassador hotel will do, they have the time slot, check with the conceirge. Last but not least, maybe if there is self laundry services machine will be great. Never get the chance to have their breakfast, hopefully next time will have the chance. Being an Accor member, they never failed to surprised me! Which is why, my first choice will be Accor chain hotels. …

It was a lovely experience. Since it is very near to the Yongsan station and the second-hand electronics shop, the experience was very good. Also the hotel staff were very nice, lovely and kind to assist me in anything I asked. And the added bonus was that they spoke english.

Centrally located & close to Yosund station, this is a nice Ibis. I was on the 24th floor and had a nice view of the city. My double-bed room was compact and maximized space with the toilet & shower side by side & a sink with plenty of counter space. Bed was comfortable with a safe available but without an iron. Fitness room was a decent size with a huge exercise mat area and about 5 weight stations and the usual variety of cardio equipment. Breakfast was excellent with noodle dishes, salads, eggs, pastries to name a few. Also, ordered room service and the no 22 Spicy Rice dish (Nasi Goreng) was excellent! A La Maison Deli is in the lobby area for coffee, sandwiches & desserts. Reception and Concierge were helpful & service minded. Reasonably priced & great location!
