Signiel and Four Seasons are undoubtedly the two best hotels in Seoul. If you're looking for a 5 star hotel in a top location, this hotel is it. Located inside the Lotte Seoul Tower (the 5th largest building in the world), the hotel occupies the 79th-100th floors of the building. The green line - Jamsil runs directly underneath. Signiel has all the bells and whistles of a top world hotel. If you're used to Four Seasons, Peninsula, Rosewood type hotels, this right there with them. Rooms are spacious and modern. Bathroom amenities are dyptique products. Views from the hotel are amazing. As it is located within the Lotte World Tower, the location is a shopper's mecca. Luxury Duty Free shopping is located within the tower but the lotte mall is literally outside the front door (in fact, you can also access it by going down the escalator and via underground if it's cold or rainy outside). The lotte mall has every store and restaurant, food court, and cinema imaginable.

Your stay at signiel gives you access to their lounge where there are hours set for complimentary food and drinks. However, note that the food items are EXACTLY the same every day. Breakfast fare is more of a continental type, providing a few pastries, cereal and fruit. The afternoon snacks are minimal. And evening happy hour consists of again the same few snack items and an offering of 4 different types of champagne only (tho Tattinger is among those 4). This is the one area where say a Four Seasons is better - their lounge features a way more extensive array of wines, spirits, beer and a rotating selection of food. However, the four Seasons lounge is available only if you book a club level room whereas it appeared that the Signiel's lounge was complimentary to all guests.

The spa/gym facilities are very good. But note, no one under 17 is admitted to the gym or spa. 13 yo and younger are allowed in the pool but must be accompanied by an adult.

The Signiel is an incredible hotel, I mainly wanted to try staying at this hotel because it's just so high up and the view must be amazing. If you're a tourist I don't think the location is the most convenient, it's south of the Han River and a lot of the palaces, NS Tower, Markets, Myeongdong, etc is north of the river which becomes a lot of traveling. If you are planning on staying south of the river and around Jamshil which has a ton to do, it's awesome. It's also really close to a department store, movie theatre, etc so to hang out and play the location is convenient.

Our stay was so luxurious and attentive, I think at every turn we were impressed by the attention to detail and customer-centric everything. Our room was on the 95th floor and the view was incredible, the service was top notch and the perks were great. The room was very luxe and incredibly comfortable, for two of us it was more than plenty of space, coming from Japan I finally felt like I wasn't tripping over my luggage constantly.

The lounge was a great perk as we were able to access some cocktail hour and coffee, etc occasionally (I especially loved their espresso machine). Breakfast was good, always go for the fresh chocolate croissants! Lastly, the staff were really kind and went above and beyond to make us happy. I really wanted to try BHC chicken but couldn't figure out how to order and the concierge ended up doing it for us which was nice and ticked off a Korea bucket list item. I can't wait to come back.

Signiel Seoul is located in the city center, easy to get around basically anywhere. Easily recommended for staycation for families as Lotte World is just right next to it.

Once you step into the hotel, luxurious is the word that comes up to mind. Magnificent modern marbled interior with metallic accents everywhere, The setting might appear cold to some people but not to worry, the professional staffs are there to give you a heart warming welcome. Excellent service by the staffs.

Hotel room is squeaky clean, more of the marbled interior, if you are a person who loves taking photos for social media, you are in for a treat for some bragging rights. The hotel provided a welcome tea which was inviting and the hotel toiletries that they offer was by the brand Diptyque. The amount of detail so far was really impressive.

The view from the room was spectacular. you could see mountains from a far, buildings below you, nightlights from the bustling city life. Feeling is kind of like you are looking outside of a plane upon arrival into the country. Very peaceful and serene.

Overall, very impressed by the hotel, had a wonderful experience and truly enjoyed my stay here. Thanks to all the staffs that made it happen too.

First of all there was a faulty LED that was above our bed (almost like the reading light) that kept randomly flickering. We first had one of the floor's house keeping staff come and check it out and she even acknowledged it which then led to electrical maintenance staff coming to our room to fix the problem. Now here's the problem. When the electrical maintenance staff came and saw the problem they too acknowledged the problem, however, when the electrical staff were talking among themselves my wife heard them say '너무 예민한거 아냐?' Having technical difficulties with maintenance in these situations is completely understandable and I know that the customer can't always be right. However, the basics of working in hospitality is to give the customer the best satisfaction and customer experience possible. ESPECIALLY at a 5 star establishment like Lotte Signel Hotel.
My second problem was the bed linens. Now when we opened the white linen blankets it was a shock to discover that there were clearly dirty stains on the INNER bed sheets. Now this can only mean one thing. The maids never checked the cleanliness of the fresh bed sheets while prepping the room since this was first discovered on our first arrival.
Third was the lack of maintenance of the bathroom.
The bathtub had a major leakage problem where if someone is in the tub water keeps leaking out.
Fourth was that there was so much dust around the room. It kept flying around. More visible during the morning.

Pros: Great room, great amenities, spectacular view on clear weather days, and excellent room service.

Cons: Most expensive hotel in Seoul. Dry air in the room which leads to sore throat overnight. Very low water pressure for shower.

For extra fees, the breakfast buffet in the restaurant is the best breakfast buffet I've had in the world.

My wife and I celebrated a new pregnancy at Signiel for one night. My wife was concerned about cleanliness and the hotel was extremely accommodating and ensured the room was well cleaned.

She truly enjoyed the room and the view, as did I! Thank you very much Signiel team. We will definitely be back.

A lovely hotel that’s next to the beach and access to many places of interest as well as eateries. Not a place to shop but certainly one to relax with your loved ones. Great food, nice windy weather in summer and great Korean hospitality. My wife and loved the signiel tea and hotel body wash and shampoo, and I made contact with the hotel staff through their livechat. Ms Joanne Kim was very attentive and helpful and she not only offered advice as to where to buy the signiel tea (you can get this from the Pastry Salon on L3), she made special arrangements to have additional signiel teabags, shampoo and body wash sent to our room the next day. When we checked out, Ms Joanne Kim again provided us with more body wash and shampoo for my wife. A pleasant surprise! Our heartfelt thanks to Ms Joanne Kim who went the extra mile for her/Signiel customers. Ms Joanne Kim made a big positive difference to our Busan holiday! We also wish to express our sincere thanks to Ms Julie Kim (who shared plenty of good advice upon our check-in) and Ms Celine Maeng (who was very patient and helpful to us when we checked out). We certainly look forward to our next visit to Busan and stay in Signiel when direct flights become available from SG to Busan. Thank you Signiel! Thank you Busan!

SIGNIEL CLUB 107F (Sushi Bar) – Dining in the Sky
시그니엘 클럽 107F (스시바) – 하늘속에서의 다이닝

Meal budget per person (without drinks)
Category 3 (over 120000 KRW, 100 USD)

It is a member’s restaurant with Japanese and Chinese cuisine. The Japanese one has one counter which can afford 9 guests (2 team max.)
It has the most wonderful view in Seoul because it is located on 107th floor.
There is one elevator from ground floor directly to 107F, so it does not take long to go up the restaurant. (The elevator used to be faster, but it is now slowed down to 90 seconds because some guests felt dizzy.)
The ingredients are very fresh and delectable.
The Dining in the Sky with the top notch service by the staffs is a special experience.

This is a hotel that nicely mimics a luxury hotel.
They confidently sell rooms with dust rolling around in the rooms and soiled carpets to loyalty members and respond by saying that there is nothing they can do about it.
Because the rooms were full, it was not possible to change rooms while maintaining the view, and it was also not possible to upgrade rooms by paying an additional fee.
It is expected that the hotel staff was aware of the room condition, and other than the room view, the room quality and service quality were poor.
In conclusion, aside from the great view of the room, my personal opinion was that the cleanliness of the room, the service of the staff, and the service of the hotel breakfast restaurant were at the level of premium, entry-luxury service.

If you want to go to a truly luxurious hotel in Seoul, whether for sightseeing or relaxation, go to Four Seasons Seoul, Park Hyatt Seoul, Grand InterContinental Parnas Seoul, Josun Palace Seoul, JW Marriott Seoul, Conrad Seoul, and Sofitel Seoul.
Except for the room view, there is no better service than luxury hotels in Seoul, and the room rate is the most expensive among luxury hotels in Seoul.

We arrived to Seoul in the middle of the typhoon Li Ling last September. The staff, (ten people!) were waiting for us. They helped us to leave the taxi, held the doors, took the luggage, carried umbrellas, had the elevator ready, gave us towels, etc. We forgot one of our medications; in the middle of the typhoon, they drove us to a nearby clinic and helped us with the translation. They took us in a phenomenal phantom rolls Royce! I loved it! They did not charge us. They felt sorry for us. What a service! They care!
Our rooms were located in the 98th and 108th floors. We were upgraded! the rooms were incredible! The bathroom was beautiful! The bed was perfect!
Breakfast was delicious, it was Korean and international. Maxwell was our waiter and he always helped us. We love him! He is now our friend!
Dinner at the Korean restaurant was to die for. The Korean Beef at the lounge was incredible.
The hotel is perfect!
This is a truly Six star hotel. It is one of the best hotels in the world! It is one of the top 5 I have stayed in my life!

It is in an excellent area for shopping. It is however, far from the main touristic sites. Nevertheless, you can take the metro. Most of the time, the metro is faster than the cabs. Seoul is a very large city with crowded streets.

What is scenic bath? Does that mean bath right next to the window?

I haven't stayed at the Park Hyatt but have stayed at many of the other 5 star hotels in Seoul as well as the Signiel. I recently stayed at the Signiel, Shilla and Grand Hyatt and the Grand Hyatt was definitely the worst of the 3 both in terms of quality of the room and the service. Having said that the Park Hyatt is is a grade above the Grand Hyatt. The Signiel was gorgeous and I felt the service was excellent. The location isn't very central though. If you rely very heavily on concierge services then an American chain might be better for communication purposes. I have friends who do what has been recommended above ie. spend 2 nights at the Signiel and then the rest of the stay in Myeongdong or Gangnam.

Answer from Warner B
Singapore, Singapore17 contributions67 helpful votes
Signiel de Salon is sort of a lounge that looks like a library but breakfast is not served there. And I think no kids are allowed. Breakfast is served in Stay (3 starred Michelin for lunch and dinner) and The Gallery which is like in the foyer. My son was not with me for that visit but I don’t imagine that kids would not be allowed in Stay and The Gallery. Kids need to eat too !
