Your stay at signiel gives you access to their lounge where there are hours set for complimentary food and drinks. However, note that the food items are EXACTLY the same every day. Breakfast fare is more of a continental type, providing a few pastries, cereal and fruit. The afternoon snacks are minimal. And evening happy hour consists of again the same few snack items and an offering of 4 different types of champagne only (tho Tattinger is among those 4). This is the one area where say a Four Seasons is better - their lounge features a way more extensive array of wines, spirits, beer and a rotating selection of food. However, the four Seasons lounge is available only if you book a club level room whereas it appeared that the Signiel's lounge was complimentary to all guests.
The spa/gym facilities are very good. But note, no one under 17 is admitted to the gym or spa. 13 yo and younger are allowed in the pool but must be accompanied by an adult.
Our stay was so luxurious and attentive, I think at every turn we were impressed by the attention to detail and customer-centric everything. Our room was on the 95th floor and the view was incredible, the service was top notch and the perks were great. The room was very luxe and incredibly comfortable, for two of us it was more than plenty of space, coming from Japan I finally felt like I wasn't tripping over my luggage constantly.
The lounge was a great perk as we were able to access some cocktail hour and coffee, etc occasionally (I especially loved their espresso machine). Breakfast was good, always go for the fresh chocolate croissants! Lastly, the staff were really kind and went above and beyond to make us happy. I really wanted to try BHC chicken but couldn't figure out how to order and the concierge ended up doing it for us which was nice and ticked off a Korea bucket list item. I can't wait to come back.
Once you step into the hotel, luxurious is the word that comes up to mind. Magnificent modern marbled interior with metallic accents everywhere, The setting might appear cold to some people but not to worry, the professional staffs are there to give you a heart warming welcome. Excellent service by the staffs.
Hotel room is squeaky clean, more of the marbled interior, if you are a person who loves taking photos for social media, you are in for a treat for some bragging rights. The hotel provided a welcome tea which was inviting and the hotel toiletries that they offer was by the brand Diptyque. The amount of detail so far was really impressive.
The view from the room was spectacular. you could see mountains from a far, buildings below you, nightlights from the bustling city life. Feeling is kind of like you are looking outside of a plane upon arrival into the country. Very peaceful and serene.
Overall, very impressed by the hotel, had a wonderful experience and truly enjoyed my stay here. Thanks to all the staffs that made it happen too.
My second problem was the bed linens. Now when we opened the white linen blankets it was a shock to discover that there were clearly dirty stains on the INNER bed sheets. Now this can only mean one thing. The maids never checked the cleanliness of the fresh bed sheets while prepping the room since this was first discovered on our first arrival.
Third was the lack of maintenance of the bathroom.
The bathtub had a major leakage problem where if someone is in the tub water keeps leaking out.
Fourth was that there was so much dust around the room. It kept flying around. More visible during the morning.
Cons: Most expensive hotel in Seoul. Dry air in the room which leads to sore throat overnight. Very low water pressure for shower.
For extra fees, the breakfast buffet in the restaurant is the best breakfast buffet I've had in the world.
She truly enjoyed the room and the view, as did I! Thank you very much Signiel team. We will definitely be back.
시그니엘 클럽 107F (스시바) – 하늘속에서의 다이닝
Meal budget per person (without drinks)
Category 3 (over 120000 KRW, 100 USD)
It is a member’s restaurant with Japanese and Chinese cuisine. The Japanese one has one counter which can afford 9 guests (2 team max.)
It has the most wonderful view in Seoul because it is located on 107th floor.
There is one elevator from ground floor directly to 107F, so it does not take long to go up the restaurant. (The elevator used to be faster, but it is now slowed down to 90 seconds because some guests felt dizzy.)
The ingredients are very fresh and delectable.
The Dining in the Sky with the top notch service by the staffs is a special experience.
They confidently sell rooms with dust rolling around in the rooms and soiled carpets to loyalty members and respond by saying that there is nothing they can do about it.
Because the rooms were full, it was not possible to change rooms while maintaining the view, and it was also not possible to upgrade rooms by paying an additional fee.
It is expected that the hotel staff was aware of the room condition, and other than the room view, the room quality and service quality were poor.
In conclusion, aside from the great view of the room, my personal opinion was that the cleanliness of the room, the service of the staff, and the service of the hotel breakfast restaurant were at the level of premium, entry-luxury service.
If you want to go to a truly luxurious hotel in Seoul, whether for sightseeing or relaxation, go to Four Seasons Seoul, Park Hyatt Seoul, Grand InterContinental Parnas Seoul, Josun Palace Seoul, JW Marriott Seoul, Conrad Seoul, and Sofitel Seoul.
Except for the room view, there is no better service than luxury hotels in Seoul, and the room rate is the most expensive among luxury hotels in Seoul.
Our rooms were located in the 98th and 108th floors. We were upgraded! the rooms were incredible! The bathroom was beautiful! The bed was perfect!
Breakfast was delicious, it was Korean and international. Maxwell was our waiter and he always helped us. We love him! He is now our friend!
Dinner at the Korean restaurant was to die for. The Korean Beef at the lounge was incredible.
The hotel is perfect!
This is a truly Six star hotel. It is one of the best hotels in the world! It is one of the top 5 I have stayed in my life!
It is in an excellent area for shopping. It is however, far from the main touristic sites. Nevertheless, you can take the metro. Most of the time, the metro is faster than the cabs. Seoul is a very large city with crowded streets.
