Good quiet location, didn't recognise the place as half of the building had been demolished !! Friendly staff ( when you can track them down). Could not pay by credit card only cash !! Our room was adequate but when it rained heavy water came in through the window, mattress very hard, washing machine was a bonus. Reception is a...

Stayed in their twin room with 2 single beds for 7 nights. The room was quite small but enough for both of us. They have provided kitchen stove, microwave, washing machine & fridge inside the room. You can borrow utensils & frying pan from them too. They did not provide towels in the room but you still can borrow from...

The best place to stay in Seoul, really cheap guesthouse in great location - near Seoul's temples and close to the metro station. In neighborhood there are many korean restaurants, fast foods, bars and pubs. All the time we could feel family atmosphere, staff is really nice and helpful, always smiling. And we could use little "kitchen", some necesary things...

We had our Seoul escapade last November 2012.. We were supposed to book another hostel but unfortunately (due to visa problems) we booked late and the hostel was full. So we asked for suggestions from the owner of the hostel, he gladly suggested, goldenpond. Location: Looking at the website, it was really good because the MRT is near. And the...

The guesthouse has an english speaking staff which is quite good to avoid miscommunications upon check in. We were traveling as a group and rooms were ready when we arrived around 10 in the morning. Although we didn't stay at the main building, we enjoyed are room at their extension building. Wifi is fast, very clean, and spacious for the...

First and foremost, I remember the staff who greeted us was friendly, helping us with our luggage and getting around the neighbourhood. The guesthouse on the other hand had a very cosy and homey feeling that I love. With basic stuff like internet access in every room, kitchen, water cooler, English-speaking staff, and a location within short walking distance to...

From the easy booking, email correspondence, check in, service, nice simple breakfast and reasonably comfortable simple room, my wife and l and our two daughter had no major complaints for the place. Location is great. Easy to find eating place, convenience stores, cafes, and only 1O minutes walk along nice streets filled with eating places, nice little shops, cafe and...

Staying in Daehakno

Neighborhood Profile
Daehakno (literally "University Street") is home to a number of famed universities, so the neighborhood is always abuzz with university students, and a youthful, optimistic energy permeates the air. The abundance of restaurants, cafes, and shops cater to the younger demographic in both taste and prices, making it a popular meet-up area. Daehakno is also famed for its creativity, showcased in the many amateur performances put on at Marronnier Park and in more professional productions at small independent theaters scattered through the neighborhood. For a break, be sure to check out Ihwa Mural Village nearby, a former shantytown transformed into an art village with installations and wall paintings. It hosts a Filipino Market on Sundays.
