A small, friendly hotel. This wonderful staff! Kind, considerate people, cozy atmosphere and very good location! Slightly irritated unpleasant smell of the old sewage from the bathroom. Not perhect balcony doors, pavers on the road below the windows, a lot of noise from the street.

King David Hotel is a worth staying property, With the Staff so loving and supportve makes it more comfortable. Its centrally located on the beautiful street with an amazing view, prefer to stay in a room with balcony as it refreshes your mind with the serene view. Rooms are clean and well organised. All the good cafes and restaurants are just a few steps away, so you dont have to go far for any refreshments.
In short, its a perfect place to stay if you are planning to stay in Tbilisi.

I came for the first time to Tbilisi, which is wonderful town and I'll come back, but not to the hotel King David!
I am very experienced world traveller and regular correspondant of Tripadviser about experiences in different world hotels. I am never going to hotels under 3 stars. I am the most happy, when I can give the good remark of hotels, but I have to mention also what is not good.
I had 4 options for hotels in Tbilisi and finally I decided I was going to the KIng David (4 stars) as it is on good location, not too expensive, together with breakfast. The point of decision was that I read in the Tripadviser review: Was great to be picked up at the airport by the free service the hotel kindly offers.
But it is not true!!!!
A week before my arrival I contacted the hotel; they said everything was OK with my reservation, but I have to pay 50 GEL (around 16 euros) for the one way transfer from the airport.
I didn't cancel, as there are always complications with cancellations, so I paid 100 GEL (more than 30 euros) for return transfer.
I informed the Reception staff about it. They didn't appologize, they just said that the menagement has changed at the beginning of this year and the new one cancelled that facility. I couldn't talk to hotel Manager.
Otherwise, I had quite nice, old fashioned, clean room with safe, fridge and tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom with shower was also quite OK with some toileteries, but I missed the Body lotion.
The breakfast was medium quality. The juice couldn't be called "juice", but coloured water, the cold meat was not of good quality, so I didn't touch it. There were many kinds of cold salads, which European people don't like to eat for breakfast. No croissants, but some muffins. The coffee was instant one fom the little bags. The best was the ham omellette, which was prepared for me every morning by the kindest member of the staff, Mrs Irina.
The reception is on the first floor and there is no lift from the ground to the first floor.
The staff on reception was correct and nothing more. They were far from resolving my problem with the aiport transfer.
I decided I am not coming back to this hotel and I am not proposing it to my friends.

Was great to be picked up at the airport by the free service the hotel kindly offers. The personnel on duty couldn’t have been any nicer. The room plus bathroom allocated very comfy and large by European standards.Location wise walkable to the centre. If I had to address a shortcoming it has to be an improvement on the coffee , but than again as a Georgian told me , coffee is not the country ‘s strongest fort.....Hopefully I’ll visit again with 2 friends of mine early next year....a big thank you for a wonderful stay,!

I was really satisfied during my one-week stay in the hotel.
The atmosphere was quiet, noting that the hotel is located in the center of Tbilisi.
I liked the simple decoration, the cleanliness, and the arrangement as well of my room.
The breakfast, served in the inside restaurant, is characterized by its variety and amazing taste. Hot tea and coffee are served all the time for free.
I deeply appreciate the hospitality and the great services I have got all the time during my lovely stay in this charming hotel, where I could find the warm-hearted soul of the Georgian people.
Most of all, I really was impressed by the friendly behavior of all the smiling staff and management... I just felt that we were close friends from a long time.
I will definitely book this hotel for my next travels to Tbilisi.

This is a good hotel with excellent location on the left bank on the main shopping street and with many good restaurants there. The rooms are nicely furnished, large enough and with nice bathroom. There is limited closet space but not a problem. The breakfast is nice with sufficient varieties of items. There is some different hot dishes each day and you can order eggs to your taste. The only drawback to the hotel is you have to walk up a steep flight of stairs to get to the reception and with luggage this is a bit of problem. The only other problem I had was there were some small children on the floor and at night they were a bit noisy, either crying or running up and down the hall. I asked for a room on the backside away from the street to avoid noise, but couldn't avoid this. The reception desk was very helpful with getting me a taxi on the street or calling one for me. The wifi was also very good with no interruption and rather fast. Overall, a very good hotel and worth the price of the room.
