Kopala A is the newest of the three and has a good view of the city. The rooms are big and clean. There is no lift and no porters to help.
Reception is helpful but billing is cumbersome. As is usual in Georgia there is no money changing facilities and payment is either in Georgian currency or credit cards.
There are no city maps, no tour operators and no shop for buying essential items.
Breakfast is average and impersonal.
The restaurant food is good as is the ambiance (candles, piano player etc) but the staff are poorly trained. The manageress sits around doing nothing and the food takes a long time to arrive.
There are far better and far cheaper restaurants in the downtown area. More
