Htun and his team were great. The corner room was spacious with an amazing view of the Shwedagon Pagoda. Green and upscale neighborhood. Easily accesible with Grab (taxi). The Shan noodles at the restaurant were really yum too.

I was back in Yangon and had a great stay at the ambassador hill hotel, again. The staff is very friendly and service oriented. I asked for a pagoda view room and I was assigned a loft room with pagoda view. Towels were changed every day and the room was immaculate clean. Breakfast was very fresh and delicious. They use water bottles of glass and avoid plastic. Love the environmentally friendly attitude. They have budget rooms as well but the pagoda view room was worth the extra money spent. I also enjoyed the work out room! It is a great peaceful hotel in the Golden valley of Yangon. My home away from home. Love it!

Based on the positive reviews we booked this hotel - thanks god only for one night. We booked a room with pagoda view. Opening the window we saw in approx. 1m distance the dirty wall of the neighbours house. The room itself smelled funny. AC very loud (but working), it was ok-clean. We only received one towel. When we asked for a second one the staff either ignored us or didn’t understand us (we are not sure). All together very disappointing. There are lots of hotels in Yangon that are in the same price range and much better!

Dear Ms. Jana, We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We are always trying to meet the wishes of our guests and this is also shown by the previous evaluations. Our reception does not only speak English - we could have communicated with you in German as well. It is a pity that your concerns did not reach the management - we would certainly have found a more than satisfactory solution for you. We hope you enjoyed your time in Myanmar nevertheless. With the best wishes Your hotel management

I spent 4 days in Yangon and would like to recommend a stay at the Amassador Hill! It is a quiet and peaceful place but still centrally located. We had a room with a perfect view of the Shwedagon Paya - absolutely fantastic! Very nice and helpul staff and also the hotel director is available whenever you have questions or need advice. And last but not least, the garden restaurant is like a little green oasis in the middle of the big city. I will definitely come back to the Ambassador Hill on my next trip!

The room was clean and neat. Breakfast was GREAT. They provided normal western style breakfast as well as local noodles, in both fried and soup. Location is not a problem in Yangon as Grab Taxi are always reliable and VERY CHEAP. You can easily grab a car to downtown with 2-3USD. Staffs and the boss were super friendly and helpful!! They helped me to call taxi to airport coz I wasn’t able to get a grab car in that morning. Once again GRAB in Yangon is very reliable in Yangon. That morning maybe due to busy hour the only one time I failed to get a Grab. But no problem the friendly boss helped me to fix it within 10 min. I will definitely come back again!!!
