My friend and me stayed twice in the Garden Guest House (after arrival and before departing Myanmar) because it is very good value for money. We paid 18 USD for a double or 10 USD each for 2 single rooms including AC, private bathroom and breakfast in the heart of Yangon! It's not possible to find anything near as cheap...

-the staff was unfriendly from the beginning -the only thing that is clean is at least the bed -dead rat in the staircase, little worms in the bathroom, a lot ants in the room -for breakfast just untoasted toast jam and 1 coffeemix -ac is not working -just cold shower

Pros: the location, wonderful view of Sule Pagoda from the restaurant, the price (13 usd 1 single), the room (511) had an ensuite bathroom, a window, good size, there was even a small table. Personnel was nice and ok, super friendly the girl (in the morning), and the man (in the night) at the entrance (the reception is at the...

We took a double room with private bathroom and aircon (!!!) for 18 $ a night (9 per person). It's cheap comparing to other places in Yangon and value for money. The staff is nice, breakfast is just bread butter and jam but that's really worth it because of the room you get for this price (basic but more that...

This hotel has nothing to do with a "boutique hotel", with anything charming or atmospheric. It has very basic rooms, filthy bathrooms, and not overwhelmingly friendly not english-speaking staff... BUT Yangon is a fast-changing town, prices are soaring everywhere, and it's really enjoyable to find a 8 dollar-room in the middle of the center of the core of downtown! You...

Good for the position just above the Sule pagoda. 10-minute walk from china town and night market near the bus stop and no problem for taxi to airport at all time A decent single room for 10 usd with bathroom and air cond for me is very good. Frendly staff also not accept reservations

We stayed here just a few days ago. We arrived in from Ngapali so was very early. The Guest house opened up at 6am and allowed us straight into a room which was great. A double room with air con and a fan with private bathroom was only $18 which is pretty good. A nice big bed was also good....

Rooms are cheap, but not nice to stay in. They only except US dollars and don't bother to mention that at the begging. Basic services like phone call and filtered water cost money here when in all other guest houses it is free. Wouldn't come back here.

I paid $10 dollars a night for my room (with a/c). You don't get much bang for your buck in Myanmar in terms of lodgings, but this was the best I've encountered. Rooms were clean and wifi was available in the lobby. It's centrally located in downtown and there's easily accessible public transport close by.

The guys in this guesthouse will rip you off for money when they see that you are desperate.(they gave us a 30 dollar room when we could have got a room for 8dollars each but they got greedy) It's located smack bang in the middle of Yangon...next to the noisy sule pagoda. The breakfast is as good as you can...
