A rather bland hotel but Central Hotel is as the name suggests centrally located between Sule Pagoda and Bogyoke Market and close to the Central Station. Rooms are well appointed, a good size and clean. Friendly staff, breakfasts ok - and there's an exchange desk with decent rates which is useful.

A very interesting country to visit, only been out of military control a year and have a lot to do, to accomodate tourists, our experiences were very enjoyable but we do not complain we accept the way it is, glad to have visited before the country becomes to westernise, we had a guide and driver meet us at all airports,...

We had two separate stays at this hotel in the past 3 weeks. We found the rooms tired with poor lighting. Uncomfortable beds and hard pillows. Breakfast offerings were amongst the poorest we have encountered in many years of travelling. Evening meals were not much better. I am sure that you could find a better hotel in Yangon for much...

The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Sadly the room was very dark, and we had to get the shower fixed, then the door handle came off, this seemed to be a regular occurance. The breakfast was fine and there was a good choice. The location of this hotel was in the old town so not far to walk to...

This was the second time I stayed in Yangon's Central Hotel. As I had stayed here before, it felt lovely - familiar - like coming home. Nothing has changed since I stayed here last year, so please read my previous review. I have nothing but good to say about Central: from the price (cheap) to the service (friendly and helpful)...

The best feature of the hotel is the excellent location. Right in the heart of downtown Yangon. The rooms are spacious and clean but a little tired. Air con and wifi worked really well. Breakfast was mediocre. Service was helpful and friendly and we were given a late check out til 2pm. Overall would recommend for the price. Get a...

This hotel is well located with friendly staff. The rooms have certainly seen better days but are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was surprisingly good. We stayed in a room on the third floor that was a little bit noisy.

With tourism just starting to boom, Myanmar had limited hospitality options. Central hotel offers a clean, basic room st an affordable price. It is centrally located and had an on site restaurant with a great variety of food.
