Sometimes it is hard to put to words exactly what makes a hotel special, but the Belmond Governor's Residence has it. The historic main building, beautiful grounds, exceptional service and lovely teak paneled rooms made for a memorable stay at the Governor's Residence. In particular, the dining services were top notch, with unexpected touches - a lovely amuse bouche, magnificent...

This is a beautiful hotel for exploring Yangon. The rooms were large cool and airy. Service is a delight. Sadly we never really ate in the rest of Yangon partly due to my being ill from a cold of all things! However the food here is very good, my only criticism would be that the main restaurant could serve more...

Beautiful setting and gardens. Staff are friendly, extremely attentive yet unobtrusive and the service is first rate. Breakfast was fantastic with a varied choice all best taken at leisure in the garden if possible. Rooms were extremely comfortable and well appointed. Requests for any additional items were met promptly and efficiently. The dinner service was great and, although the choice...

We stayed here as part of a luxury tour to Myanmar. The buildings are an old colonial mansion adapted for use as a hotel. Its location, a littke way out of the hustle that is down town Yangon, meant a quieter stay than many of the more midetn, western style hotels, usually located on busy roads. The rooms are located...

We had a 2 room suite which worked very well for a family of 5. The kids enjoyed the pool and the kids menu at the restaurant. Excellent service and a very charming hotel with a good restaurant. The staff helped organize our tour with Elephant Coach which was also great. I don't see it on Trip Advisor but look...

We stayed here at the beginning of a Belmond river cruise. We were impressed with the charm of the property. This property provides an authentic local experience, but without sacrificing comfort. The rooms have lots of teak woodwork. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. The property is small but charming, with a very nice pool The...

Old world charm, beautiful surroundings and brilliant food. For my birthday my husband booked us a romantic dinner at the upstairs buffet. The food was absolutely wonderful. The service was very good. Your main meal is prepared fresh for you, as well as the delicious fried ice-cream desert. Will definitely go back for another special occassion.

Stayed here for 2 different nights. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was vast and delicious! The check in process was easy and friendly. The lunch and diners were not very good. Food was average and expensive. Not a lot of places to eat around the hotel. The spa was ok, although very expensive. I have stayed...
