What can I say about this hotel. Only the fed one I have stayed in. It was like living in someone's home. The staff wer brilliant and the facilities were above average. Our room was well decorated and available when we arrived early. Kirin showed us around. We went to the pool and towels and cold water were brought to...

This Hotel in my opinion is the best place to stay in Yangon . It is out of the hustle and bustle of the busy city by being in the area where there are quite a lot of Residents . the Hotel is a Colonial Hotel that was the Residence of the Governor during the time when the British inhabited...

We stayed at the Governor's Residence for two nights, then spent a week travelling down the Irrawaddy River before returning to the hotel for another two nights. The welcome and service by the hotel staff was outstanding. The food at the Asian buffet was so interesting with lots of dishes we wanted to taste and were not obliged to have...

We had a great stay for the first days of our Myanmar holiday. As an all round package this hotel did exactly what we wanted - very comfortable and well appointed room with sitting areas, very relaxing layout and location, nice pool area and good food. Service was really good. We had considered the newly reopened Strand hotel. But having...

Very disappointed having stayed at The strand on the way over. The room was clean, a little worn, but, the air conditioning was in dire need of replacing. The smell was very musty and we took every opportunity to spend the least amount of time in the room. The service and quality of food were average in comparison to the The...

This restaurant/hotel is located nearby the National Museum and was just the perfect spot to have a lovely relaxing lunch after a morning at the museum. Lunch was served on a covered patio overlooking a really beautiful garden and large pond. The buildings are quite interesting and you can wander around the place. There aren't a lot of places to...

Dear LynnSeattle, Thank you for joining us for lunch. The main building of our hotel, the open-air teak mansion, makes our hotel quite unique in Yangon. It was built in 1920s as the home and offices for a Governor of one of Myanmar’s southern states. We hope you will have a chance to return for dinner. In the evening, there...

Who would have thought that you can find great Mexican food in Yangon? Ok, I didn't look for it. But I went to the Governors Residence for lunch. The new chef is Mexican- so I had the waygu beef tacos, which are delicious. And a pudding - which was great too.
