One of the best birthday celebrations again this year! Spent 2 nights at Yangon’s 5star hotel Belmond Governor’s Residence. Most memorable time ever. Feels like we were at private 5star place all by ourselves. Thanks to the Heartwarming Hospitality by their staffs. Can’t wait to experience again the Facilities of the Govrnor’s Room and it’s amenities. Located at the heart of the diplomatic area of Yangon, Myanmar, we feel really relaxed and enjoyed every moment there.
We chose to stay the last two nights before we leave yangon for good.We sure it would be a place safe. The room and all the facilities were kept tidy and clean.Breakfast was delicious and the extra kind service gave our family.
I would most definitely recommend this hotel. The staff are so incredibly friendly and the accommodation is second to none. We had a fantastic breakfast and even had peacocks walking around. The room was very clean and nothing was too much trouble. This hotel really is like stepping back 100 years and I loved every second of it. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and I would like to thank all the amazing staff for making me and my wife feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and all the way through to check out. Thanks!!
This tranquil, welcoming hotel is an oasis amidst the bustle, a spacious and welcoming place to stay while enjoying the sights and experiences of Myanmar. The staff are impeccably professional, the rooms are comfortable, and the entire atmosphere is one of calmness and rest. There are peacocks walking around freely, which adds to the charm. The breakfasts are fresh and delicious.
This was my third stay in Yangon and always at the Governor's Mansion. This is the place to stay for a respite from the craziness of Yangon, especially after spending the day dowtown roaming the markets, temples, and various shops. I had not been back to Yangon in 13 years and was shocked at the horrific traffic and air quality, yet there is somthing about Yangon that gets under your skin - gritty, life on the street, and a place you have to experience. The downtown hotels are fine (I've been to the Shangri-la and Strand many times for lunch, but you don't get away from coming out and being on the street). The Governor's Mansion is charming, great service, wonderful pool, and amazing grounds/gardens where you can stare off into space and enjoy your peace and quiet - something that's getting harder to come by in life these days. On another note, the Burmese people are wonderful, lovely and gracious.…
