Very disappointed having stayed at The strand on the way over. The room was clean, a little worn, but, the air conditioning was in dire need of replacing. The smell was very musty and we took every opportunity to spend the least amount of time in the room. The service and quality of food were average in comparison to the The...

This restaurant/hotel is located nearby the National Museum and was just the perfect spot to have a lovely relaxing lunch after a morning at the museum. Lunch was served on a covered patio overlooking a really beautiful garden and large pond. The buildings are quite interesting and you can wander around the place. There aren't a lot of places to...

Dear LynnSeattle, Thank you for joining us for lunch. The main building of our hotel, the open-air teak mansion, makes our hotel quite unique in Yangon. It was built in 1920s as the home and offices for a Governor of one of Myanmar’s southern states. We hope you will have a chance to return for dinner. In the evening, there...

Who would have thought that you can find great Mexican food in Yangon? Ok, I didn't look for it. But I went to the Governors Residence for lunch. The new chef is Mexican- so I had the waygu beef tacos, which are delicious. And a pudding - which was great too.

This is not one of those stark five star hotels that are the same no matter where in the world you are. This hotel has charm, the rooms are clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. I loved the garden with the peacocks and water foul walking around. Breakfast was served on a terrace and the hotel staff were very friendly.

This was by far the best hotel that we stayed in throughout our trip to Myanmar. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect - service impeccable, every conceivable luxury in our rooms, a welcome bowl of fruit to die for, champagne, gifts and the most luxurious black lava bath for 2. Fluffy dressing gowns, comfortable beds, wifi (fast), beautiful...
