Inya Lake Hotel is my go-to hotel in Yangon for short and long stays. The highlight is definitely the beautiful location by Inya Lake, which is a calm oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The location is also good for both the airport (20 mins with a taxi when there's no traffic) and downtown (also around 20 mins).
The best thing is the kind and attentive staff. The front desk team will welcome you and help you with anything you need and the restaurant team will quickly learn your favorite orders. The cleaning is top notch (a special thanks to Sai Bo Bo for the excellent standards and to Aung Swe U for the attention to detail). The team also surprised me with a delicious cake on my birthday (thank you again!).
You will definitely enjoy staying here, especially if you are looking for a place to relax in the evenings after a day of work. I will return here again and again :)

The room and overall structure is a bit old, but maintained nicely. Hotel clerks are well trained and courteous. The lake view and environment in the hotel premise is very good. The problem was that the towels and bedsheets are too old and have visible stains on them, so at least they should replace them with new ones. Breakfast has a wide variety of choices yet is not much impressive with taste, each item is no different from middle range hotel breakfast. Going out from this hotel and walking around by foot is problematic because the nearby area is infested with barking wild dogs and definitely not safe without vehicle.

A super peaceful location on the bank of lake with pleasant views and greenery surrounding the hotel. The very friendly and supporting staff right from the doormen to reception or restauraunt to the GM, Mr Sukhi make you feel cosy, homely and so comfortable that it makes everything worth it well. Special mention of one of the housekeeping staff Kyaw Zin Oo who has been taking care of the room cleaning for me religiously without any expectations. He is very neat and meticulous at work and completely trustworthy. Thank you Kyaw Zin Oo for supporting me during my stay.

Great landscape and amazing location! None of the hotels in Yangon can beat that! Must be the only hotel in Yangon with a huge compound by the lake.
F&B and concierge staff are five stars! Very helpful, polite, and attentive. The booking process is also very smooth and responsive.
But hotel management needs to spend money on training and polishing the staff. The hotel is very lucky to have a lot of good team members, but their knowledge of how to upsell at the restaurant/bar,lobby, and how to handle the complaints at the reception desk are very poor. That's all down to the management to give back training to the staff to boost their confidence. The overall hotel is getting tired and needs to renovate big time, especially the bedrooms. I have been hearing there is a project to renovate and we can't wait to see the brand new hotel with the upgraded rooms. Only gave 3 stars because the bedrooms are tired and dust in the bedrooms(behind the table, curtain). Again, this is down to the training for the housekeeping team how to clean spotless. The shower is not strong. The light in the bedroom is poor, only two lamps, probably old-fashioned style.

We felt at home! I and my family had an exceptional experience here. Starting with a warm welcome and personalised service from the attentive staff. The accommodations were outstanding, boasting a perfect blend of cleanliness, comfort,and unique features that added a touch of luxury to my stay. The hotel's facility, including a well-maintained pool and excellent dining options, further contributed to the overall positive atmosphere. Great services and reception from wutt yee , Mai,.and Aung Zin ko. The location was great and gave I and my family a home away from home feeling. I felt the value for money was excellent, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to fellow travellers seeking a memorable and comfortable stay with top-notch service, especially those with kids.
I wish a few swings and footballs could be provided to help with the active kids staying longer Providing smart TV to all rooms would also be great, especially to a family occupying more than 1 room.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning , one of the best and loved the convenient location close to major attractions and very big car park ... Perfect Location, Peaceful Surroundings, Brallient Ambient and Friendly Staffs are making us feels lik home whenever we stayed in this Amazing Inya Lake Hotel in Yangon.

Hotel Room Reservation by Mr. Min Naing Htut, who has always help me. It was super easy, I just sent him a drop of message to make a reservation for our room. As always his response to our requests were quick and efficient.
Excellent Front Office Team is very helpful and friendly Luggage Team/ the Gentleman in the Entrance Door always very attentive towards any guests. The Front Desk, especially to Mrs. Yin Yin who always has a big smile and help us to have a room that we requested as much as she can to assist, we are so appreciated.
Buffet breakfast every morning in the hotel restaurant was simple and delicious, thanks to Ms. Su is attentive and helpful. Thanks to evening Room Service Supervisor and food delivery assistant, foods were also super duper.
Last but not least, thank you to Housekeeping Supervisor Mr. Aung Myo Min and his assistant attendant Mr. Wai Yan Htay Win. They both are very attentive and provided our requests for extra blanket and pillow right away. Excellent Housekeeping๐hotel is clean and the our room as well.

i had no experience with spiders in the hotel. clean facilities, contrary to previous reporter the buffet breakfast was generous, thoroughly diverse (west and east) and high quality. I recommend the location - $5usd to downtown and $2usd to Sedona hotel commons (Harry's and Fuse etc). The lake is beautiful too US Embassy sits olong its banks too so there's something of an additional support (and the Lady's house too).
I stayed in the Inya Lake Hotel twice in 2012 and again in October 2014. From 2012 to 2014 some improvements have been made to the rooms. Flat screen TV (although I didn't power on it). The breakfast is good as always and if you get a room with a view to the Inya Lake, you have a beautiful sunset. The hotel is very calm and now is easier to get a taxi than back in 2012.
There are more places to choose from in the Yangon (Rangoon) area.
