We loved the view of Shwedagon Pagoda at sunrise on the balcony where breakfast is served and the close location. We enjoyed the vendors and market on the street. Our room was very quiet, clean with good beds. The staff was friendly. We stayed here for four nights so we could visit Shwedagon Pagoda when we wanted and not have to fight the traffic with taxies. Excellent hotel to stay at!
The main point of this hotel is the great shwedagon pagoda view, specially at night and a walking distance to there. There 2 pools on the rooftop: one cool and other warm. Burmese, chinese and japanese breakfast. Great staff.
Stayed one night here before flying off to Bagan. Walked to nearby restaurant to eat before walking to Shwedagon Pagoda. Good location if you are short of time and you need to fly out the next day. I would say the location is really the biggest advantage.
I stayed here for four nights, and very much enjoyed the experience. The hotel looks to be recently refurbished and my room was very clean and functional. Not a large space, but the desk was fit to work at, the bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. The bar/breakfast area on the top floor has an excellent view of the Shwedagon Pagoda which is only a few minutes walk away, though you’ll need a taxi to downtown or the airport. There is a rotenburo (open air bath) also on the top floor which was very nicely done. The staff were fantastic, exceptionally polite and friendly. I only ate breakfast at the hotel so can only comment on that, which is naturally oriented to Japanese tastes. There was a fair amount of variety and the presentation, like nearly everything else in the hotel, was excellent. While I love Japanese food it’s probably not my preference for breakfast and having some fruit or cereal available would be great. The street market outside is a experience, and while you might not recognise all the food on offer it makes for an interesting walk. Overall this has become my favourite hotel in Yangon and I hope to visit again highly recommended.…
Very near to Shewdagon pagoda with a stunning view @ the rooftop. Hotel is walking distance to the pagoda and market. The Hotel interior is dated and have a strange odor. Breakfast buffet needs to improve on the menu and the food quality.
