I was happy that we find something to spend all the day inside... I need a rest, can't walk for long distance, than we get 3bed room, but never could to used by 3. The cabinet was broken, the walls was dirty, after cleaning the bathroom, it was fine. It is visible, that they design a very nice hipster concept, in common spaces is up to date, but our room and bathroom was the opposite. There is a time to makeover the rooms.

The hostel is accessible and close to major tourist spots in downtown area. The washrooms are also good, the dorm is very comfy. In short, you get what you are paying. However the front desk was confusing because the bus rates were only for luxury transports. The cheaper ones that I later found in market are not here. So if you are booking this hostel and looking for cheap bus tickets then I would suggest looking around other hostels as well

The cleanest most professional hostel in downtown Yangon just a minute from Bogoke or two minutes from Sule Square. The staff are extremely knowledgeable polite and helpful. They can arrange bus tickets etc as well as good food and drinks. The building is an immaculately renovated colonial mansion with spacious verandah for yoga table football and relaxation, other games such as chess etc are available on request for free. The lobby is the most comfortable and chic with good air conditioning throughout the building. The showers are clean modern with powerful hot and cold water. Free drinking water and notebook computers with good wifi are also made freely available to guests. The simple fresh coffee orange juice toast butter jam cornflakes is amazing as a free breakfast considering how cheap their opulent capsules with every mod con are making it a truly five star bargain without question in a league of its own.

The location is good as it is just a walking distance from junction mall, park and some other famous pagodas. Rooms were clean but they dont set rules to travelers unlike other hostel, like phone calls timing- my experience was my roommate was still talking to phone until dawn result was I need to check out the next morning and transfer to different hostel just to have a quite sleep. If maybe they just set rules then maybe my roommate was reminded of some room ethics, anyhow its not their major fault. Staff are nice tho toilet is not regularly maintain.

Pros: Location is excellent and the facilities were fine. Cons: Our room was a little dirty; dirt accumulated in corners and a few insects. Nothing major though (by my standards at least). Breakfast was fine but simple. Unfortunately the staff were unable to help us book or even research a bus to Chaung Thar Beach, something I imagined would be pretty straightforward in their line of business. That is my biggest complaint from the stay. Still, if you don't need much help with travel arrangements then it will likely prove an acceptable place to stay.

I love everything about this hostel! Clean, welcoming atmosphere, quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful; the cafe is huge, air-conditioned, and the perfect place to work with reliable fast Wi-Fi; the dorms are cozy with comfy beds and tons of storage space in the bed area and for your bags; and it's in a great neighborhood. I even messaged them to let me know when there's an opening during the Thingyan/new year water festival dates since they were fully booked online and they were so quick with their response to let me know that they had one! Unfortunately I couldn't make it anymore due to a personal reason but I really appreciated their customer service. My favorite hostel in Yangon :)

This place ticked all the boxes for what I was seeking in Yangon. Cheap, my own room, clean and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and modern. It's central and close to the train station which is convenient. There's a nice balcony to sit on as the sun goes down and enjoy a beer looking at the rooftops of nearby buildings. Stairs to get to the top floor are very steep by the way. I'm guessing this place is quite new as it was lacking an ambience. The breakfast was perhaps the worst breakfast on offer in every hotel I stayed at in Myanmar. Toast and cereal? Come on guys, you can do much better than that.

Pros: - Good location. Less than 10 mins from the train station. Close to markets and restaurants. - Beds are comfortable and clean with privacy curtain. Each bed also has plugs and individual lights. Cons: - Expensive for what it is. Have stayed in lower rated hostels before which are a lot nicer. - Bathroom is disgusting. Mouldy walls, cracked tiles, and dirt all over the shower floor that is not cleaned daily. - The dorm rooms are very, very small. There were lockers but not enough space to put our rucksacks. There were 4 of us in the 6 bed dorm and we could not all get into our bags at the same time - The locks on both my locker and the dorm room door were broken and the staff were unable to provide an alternative. I also went to another room by accident and my card opened their dorm door as well so security isn't great.

This is an excellent hostel, well located for Sule Pagoda, the railway station and within walking distance of chinatown (ten minutes). Many fine restaurants nearby. The street it is located on is interesting enough but beware of cars creeping up behind you as there is no pavement. The hostel itself has an amazing reception area/bar. There are steep stairs up to the top floor where the dorms are - not great if you have heavy bags. Aircon is fantastic, there is a privacy curtain on each of the beds and the wifi was great. there's a balcony for smoking and just hanging out. The bathrooms are OK but not as well presented as the reception downstairs for example - functional would describe them best. Breakfast was a joke though - just bread and jam as far as i could see. my first night breakfast was included, next day i booked using a different site - breakfast was not included it seems. i didn't notice and after i'd put some bread in the toaster a guy told me not to eat it! i felt like shaking his hand and thanking him! i trotted off to an indian place and had some samosas and rice. even so pretty dumb incident over two slices of toast. one other point - day one cost me USD$5.5 using hostelworld. i said to the chap at the desk i'd stay another night for the same price. he said no, not possible price is $7. so i booked again (agoda i think)- $5 this time (no breakfast i now know) - presumably they have to pay a dollar to agoda for commission. so how stupid is that? i offered to pay $5.5 - they end up with $4?? however it is annoying and fiddly so be aware, scott hostel, by taking this position you are causing mild perturbation for your guests. Finally - 5% on top for using credit card!?? c'mon - everywhere else is 3%. however this is a review of the hostel and not their pricing scheme - i rate the hostel 10/10. all staff members were helpful and polite - a well run outfit.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the common area is nice, everything looks good exept for the bathroom which is not bad at all! But i wish the showers were bigger. I had a great time here! Breakfast is kinda basic but that’s not really a problem. I loved that it’s located right by sule pagoda and you can find good restaurants everywhere! You also get a key card that you can lock in your stuff with, I haven’t seen that in a lot of hostels! Great place
