This is an adults only resort, with its own private beach. This makes snorkeling and swimming a breeze. With its own bar and restaurant you don't need to leave the resort. This was our second trip to Vanuatu and our second time staying at Breakas. Plenty of local buses stop out the front and you can go into town for more food options and to find some kava bars. Staff at the resort are extremely friendly and accommodating. Room are cleaned daily with a beautiful outdoor shower. There is something beautiful about the Vanuatu people, they will also stop to talk and wish you a goodnight or goodmorning. I would highly recommend this restort if your looking for a relaxing kid free holiday with all the services you can dream of.

We were recommended to go here for lunch by a local driver. It did not disappoint! Absolutely delicious seafood spaghetti, with very fresh tender seafood. Yummy coconut prawns, excellent, authentic Carpaccio and my younger boys were impressed by the burgers. All with a beachfront view. Highly recommend.

Although the pool was being renovated when we arrived, the service and extras we received were exceptional. The staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was a comfortable and enjoyable one. They organised our tours, gave us some local tips, and always had a smile on their face. Personally, we enjoyed the fact the resort was quiet, although it meant a few of the evening entertainment events were cancelled (which was understandable). It is basic accommodation but meets all your needs. The outdoor shower is great! The location right on the beach, the smiles on everyone's faces, and the overall vibe of Vanuatu will see us returning again, and again.

Breakas resort was absolutely amazing. The staff went beyond their normal duties and helped us in many ways. As my husband has Alzheimer’s disease they were so so accommodating in our wishes. Nothing was a problem. Such a great staff.

Overall, our stay at breakas was not too bad. We stayed at the resort for one week. Beautiful location and helpful staff. However, the were many disadvantages. We stayed at the resort at between 12th of February and 19th of February. When we arrived, we saw the pool empty - they were renovating it. All we were given was a 2 course meal (2 entries and two mains, anything more you need to pay) and a bottle of champagne. Upon our arrival in Australia, we checked out the price of the champagne online - $17.99. Thanks breakas! That was a big disappointment for us, as the pool was one of the main reasons we booked this resort and they didn't even notify us about the renovations. Breakfast included - yes but, the breakfast was very poor - only a few options; pancakes, bread with spreads, muesli and fresh fruit. And they left the breakfast menu on the table that obviously had way better options but you had to pay. Wifi included - yes but, wifi is only available at the reception and the bar and right next to the wifi password a big sign with wifi charges if you want internet- felt like it was all about the money. In addition, you can't really swim at the beach because we expected sand but all we got was rocks and corals. They've only cleaned a small part of the beach in which we couldn't really swim whenever we wanted because there were local kids swimming and screaming; and one of the resort's policies is no kids allowed under the age of 15. Thank you Traveller37_66666666 for your review We appreciated this review The pool renovation was schedule for renovation from the 02nd to the 10th of February 2020. But due mother nature were we are unable to control, the renovation is delay and that is why your stayed was without the usage of the pool. And we apologies. We apologies if you felt that the 2 course meal and champagne offer as a compensation due to the pool renovation disappoint you. You feedback will help us to better improve on this. But note you cannot not compare the champagne in Australia with Port Vila as there are add on taxes and fees. As for Breakfast, we again apologies if you feel that the breakfast is very poor. If you had raise this issue with one of our wait staff than, we would have address and provide as you desire. As for the WiFi, the WIFI charge would be, if you would like to have access of WIFI when in the rooms. And this service is provided by another entity where Breakas do not collect any revenue from it. This is something we have looked into to upgrade this WIFI service so all the rooms may also have access to Free WIFI but at this stage could not promise a time frame. We apologies for this Breakas is a no kids resort. The local kids use the beach which is not own by Breakas and we therefore have no authority over this. But we thank you for raising this point, and would look at improving some strategy regarding this. We again thank you for the points raise. Recently stayed for 9 nights and cannot speak highly enough. Food and service was excellent. Nightly entertainment was great and Jimmy can sing a great tune. Elsina looked after us like we were part of the family and made our stay special. Julie and I will return

I surprised my wife with a 4 night stay at this resort for a Christmas present. Crossing my fingers and hoping I made the right choice. Well with a big smile my wife loved it. This place is only for couples (we have 4 kids) so just to chill, in the sun on the lounge chairs, having delicious cocktails, good food and we did have 2 great nights of entertainment (shows) My wife would stay again. We both recommend this place.

We stayed for five nights after Christmas. We chose Breakas specifically because it's kid free and it was a great decision. As other recent reviews have said the resort was full but you would never have known it except for the time it took for meals to come out. Island time, relax. It reminded us of the Cook Islands! We took our shoes off when we arrived and didn't put them back on until we left. You can be barefoot everywhere. The staff were great, especially the team in the bar, although it'd be wrong just to single them out as everyone was great. We stayed in a garden fare. Roomy, comfy bed, tea and coffee facilities, iron and board and it stayed quite cool just with louvres open and ceiling fan on. The mossies didn't bother us as we kept mossie coils lit. Loved the kid free pool area, especially the bean bags, but again as others have said there needs to be some more shade around the pool/along the beach (as in more umbrellas). If you're going to go swimming in the ocean take reef shoes as there's lots of broken coral. On the whole the food was pretty good. Included buffet breakfast was good. A couple of misses, including at least for us the seafood platter that was pretty ordinary (and expensive) but New Year's Eve was a huge hit, including the seafood! Don't go expecting cheap, it's Aussie bistro prices, and why shouldn't it be? Happy hour every night was great. Loved the coconut mojitos, maybe too much ;) Not often we know we'll return somewhere because the world is a big place but we will return to Breakas.…

My partner and I stayed for 10 nights over the Christmas/New Year period in this wonderful resort. We had a beachfront fare where you walked straight out onto the sand and then on to the ocean, infinity pool or restaurant/bar. The Breakas staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome the whole time. Meals were outstanding, the menu was comprehensive and if you couldn't find something you liked then you were very hard to please. Our fare with its outdoor shower was one of the best rooms we've stayed in anywhere. And I must mention....no kids, only a few bogans here and there. We would return to Breakas without hesitation and enjoy the wonderful relaxing "feet in the sand" experience.

We stayed here for a week over Christmas so it was really busy (full). Despite that it never felt crowded. The only down side to being so busy was the kitchen sometimes struggled to keep up. The food was mostly very good and the choices of menu items and specials were wide. Buffet Breakfast is included in the room rate and is a worth taking advantage of. The restaurant setting was especially nice when the weather allowed tables to be placed on the sand next to the pool for dinner. The majority of the staff were friendly, happy and informative. We had a garden Fare one step back from the beachfront which was for us, an ideal location. The bungalows are a good size, well appointed and serviced daily. The pool is large and deep. The bar gets busy at happy hour but nobody minds and the staff always have a smile. The beach is quiet and relaxing, (no kids) but does need some more shade in the area close to the pool. Breakas is a little remote but close enough to town that you can visit anytime for a few dollars on one of the local buses which are in themselves a great experience. Talk to the drivers, listen to some tunes and see the locals do what they do. We will be back.…
