My first time in Tonga, I was meant to stay with family but my daughter fell sick (I did not want to bother anybody) so I searched for a hotel. First we stayed at the Emerald hotel at $250 a night, no good! Then we went to hotel Nuku'alofa which was a pleasant stay for a cheap hotel it has... More

Out of desperation and last minute changes to booked accommodation, this was closest we could find. One thing I can say, if the servicing staff weren't so friendly, I would have been happy to take my TOP$300 per night elsewhere (and this was after bargaining down from TOP$400) Thanks Sita!!. In the length of 14 days, I only 2 hot... More

The reviews of this place don't seem to give it justice. The majority of Tongan buildings and accommodation is run down and this hotel is no different. It's a little out of town but you should already know this when you book. We chose to walk the 20 min into town most days and got to meet and see the... More

My wife I stayed two nights at this dump before transferring to Fafa Island. It is miles from anywhere, filthy and the manager is totally unhelpful. I have written to Tourism Tonga to have them struck off their lists. To start bedclothes filthy with bloodstains, used cigarettes on balcony, toaster only had a European plug. Light bulb hanging in shower - showering... More

Beautiful views if you have a nice room closer to the water front. Always breezey which is good as Tonga is so hot and humid. The price I paid for a room was way too pricey would not pay that again wasnt worth it. Breakfast was meant to be daily but sometimes you wouldnt recieve breakfast. For the price you... More

Check in day one: No doors locked, dirty rooms and dirty linen and a barely working fan. Be prepared to walk up three flights of stairs with no help with your luggage. We were moved after complaining that we did not get what we asked for and did not feel safe. We wanted a refund. A refund was refused. The... More

After reading the reviews on this place I was not sure if this would measure up. The lead up to staying was a little dubious with the lodge not having a place for me to stay the first night, so I stayed at Ut'one. I then went to the Lodge, after climbing 3 flights of stairs, the views were magnificent!.... More

We were really excited to be coming to visit Tonga for a family wedding & celebration, but once the shuttle left the paved road, I had a feeling the "lodge" was not going to be in quite the area I expected. Speaking of 'shuttle' it is the dirtiest, rattle trap I've ever ridden in and they will charge you $25... More

We stayed for two nights in an upstairs deluxe room. Our expectations of Lagoon Lodge were far from met. The bathroom was not clean and in desperate need of upgrading. The gas didn't work so we had no hot water and the shower head was so bad even a decent cold shower was a challenge. On a positive side the... More
