Features 36 rooms overlooking the ocean lagoon and nearby islands. Rooms range from standard class to deluxe rooms with kitchenettes, and a penthouse suite on the roof deck with a large private veranda, whirlpool bath, kitchenette, and plenty of spacious living area.
Staff were fantastic. I was well taken care of and enjoyed my week there. The attached restaurant is very good and has Red Rooster draft beer available. It's locally brewed. I liked the rooms with the bay view and tables out front.

The rooms are adequate. There are tables in front of each room with a water view and breeze. No pool or beach access but we had been diving so we didn't really care. The food was good at the restaurant which also has a large outdoor patio, again with nice view and breeze. Town is within walking distance although there isn't much there to see or do there other than a bigger variety of local restaurants and a little shopping. The front desk was particularly friendly and accomodating to any requests. We enjoyed our stay there. A shuttle service is available to the airport which is helpful due to the crazy flight hours in and out of Palau.

We found this a wonderful place to stay with its own restaurant. The dive services will pick you up at the front door. It was conveniently located, clean, and economical. It is certainly possible to stay in a fancier place, but you have to pay a lot more. We found, for the cost, this place was perfect. If we visit Palau again we will probably stay here.

A large group of us stayed here in February. While the hotel is a bit basic the rooms are clean and house keeping did a great job of cleaning our rooms daily. I liked the location as I could watch the sunsets from the tables outside of my room and sunsets could be seen from it's restaurant, the Red Rooster, in the morning. The tables were also nice for getting together with friends for coffee or a stronger beverage. The front office staff was always friendly and helpful. The hotel is on a peninsula with a mini market and Ace Hardware to the right and several markets to the left as you head towards the main road. There is also a new Gelato restaurant within easy walking distance. Many in our group walked to the main road and it's restaurants but in the 85 degree, high humidity weather I often found it easier to take a $8.00 taxi ride to places like the museum or took one of the many free rides offered by restaurants and spas. To be clear, this is not the Palau Pacific Resort, but if you want a clean friendly place with a nice location while you are on a dive trip then I highly recommend West Plaza by the Sea.…

Near the sea, far from downtown, may take 20 to 25 minutes to shopping center. It's dark at night. Not walk alone by yourself. The room is ok, clean and comfortable. The hotel provide a thermos in the room. There is a restaurant in the hotel. The food is good.

Overall this hotel was ok. The building is a bit old. The rooms are clean and very basic. The location along the water is nice, but on the other side of the building it is in a kind of run-down, industrial looking area. The setting / atmosphere of the hotel was a bit disappointing. The grounds were not beautiful as you may hope for in a tropical vacation. The door to our room seemed very flimsy and unsafe. There was a large space where you could see through to the outside. There were hotels of similar price range that seemed to have much better grounds, scenery, etc. If we had it to do over again, we would have spent another $20 / night and gotten a hotel with a pool and more tropical surroundings. If you are on a budget or are just using it as a place to stay before getting on a dive boat, then this might be the place for you. If you like your hotel to feel like it is in a beautiful, tropical location, then spend a little more and upgrade to a nicer location. Oh, and the reviews about the internet cards you can purchase are accurate...those cards DON'T work. Don't even bother buying one from the front desk. So, the hotel is clean, but the location/ scenery around the hotel is disappointing.…

Well guys, the hotel is old, a bit away from downtown, rooms with a view on the bay+ parking ( back) or on the bay+some abandoned buildings in ruins (front), very moisy air conditioning, a dangerous slippery hidden step between the bedroom and the bathroom. But this IS NORMAL in Koror...many other hotels in town are in the same conditions, apart from a few exceptions (e.g.:Palau Pacific Resort...quite a different matter). Book this hotel if you're a scuba diver with no particular needs, bur reconsider this hotel (and this destination, too!) if you wanna impress your new girlfriend or you're on a honeymoon ;)

We stayed here for two nights before boarding Palau Aggressor II dive yacht. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It's not a five star resort, but this hotel delivers what you need at a reasonable price. Hot water in shower worked and so did the air conditioning! Rooster Cafe onsite is a decent option for 3 meals a day. Also walkable to many shops and restaurants in town. Wifi cards available at the front desk (Palau wifi is slowwwww lol)

I missed my flight home and was forced to spend an unplanned night in Koror, Palau. The dive shop arranged accommodations at the West Plaza for one night. The room was clean, though sparse. There is no free WiFi, though they sell WiFi cards at the front desk. There is no passenger elevator and luggage is transported four bags at a time in a "dumbwaiter" type elevator. This hotel is OK in a pinch, but lacks basic hotel amenities - there is a sign on the bathroom mirror which warns guests no to drink the water....

Visitors to Palau typically go to dive, snorkel, or kayak all day, so an expensive hotel doesn't make much sense if all you really need is a hot shower, and air-conditioned room to sleep. This hotel is clean, quiet, and affordable by Palau standards, with friendly staff and on-site restaurant. The restaurant makes the back-street location away from town acceptable. Dining in town is expensive and breakfast choices are limited. The menu is mostly standard Western fare with a few Asian options. I especially liked the Japanese Breakfast as a healthier and more filling alternative. Tuesdays are closed for dinner but a short taxi ride into town is better than walking in the dark. Drivers don't swing wide for pedestrians, and sidewalks, if present are lined by drainage ditches. My room was clean with tile floors and air-conditioning. Good hot shower, clean bedding. Tap water is safe to drink. The hallway carpet was musty but that's difficult to avoid in the tropics where it rains a lot. They have a baggage elevator, stairs-only to rooms. The hotel is on the water but the area is not suitable for swimming. Sunsets are especially nice from the sidewalk directly in front. Ask front desk for a massage referral, $25/hr includes free shuttle. Ride into town for massage, go to dinner, and they'll drive you back.…
