I lived in the shared room in Pinetree's hostel for one week, the room is comfortable and clean. What's more, it's very quiet, and I slept well and met a log of nice guys during my stay. Baba waited for my check-in in the early morning, and he can give you a lot of travel information in Palau. Only one...

We stayed here for 6 days, 3 divers and a non-diver mom. We stayed in the 2 private rooms of this hostel and were very pleased with our experience! Each room had a queen/twin bunk bed, private storage cubbies, and air conditioner. There are 2 other dorm style rooms also with a shared full bath and half bath. Each day the...

Hostel is in need of repair. The owner's are ending their lease soon, so they are not upgrading or fixing anything. The air conditioner in the room is nice. They offer to pick you up at the airport for a fair fee and they can arrange a private boat for you for hire. I highly recommend renting the private boat...

Good quality hostel centrally located in Koror. Clean, tidy and comfortable rooms and nice bathroom. Baba is a good host providing any info you need. Many shops and restaurants in around. Would recommend it. Good value.

I stayed here for a few days with my friend when visiting Palau and found Ms Pinetree's extremely welcoming and friendly. Baba is the greatest and has tons of great tips about how to best enjoy Palau. He was friendly and accommodating, and very helpful with figuring out logistics of travelling around. This is an affordable place to stay in...

It is a small hostel in a two-storied house, so staying there is just like staying at a local's home, with many guests from different parts of the world. Since it is not a big hostel, it is much easier to meet and chat with people who stay there. I think the homey feeling is the biggest advantage of this...

I didn't feel too comfortable at Ms Pinetree's. We stayed for 4 nights in a double room with shared bathroom and the level of cleanliness and comfort was below average. I like staying in hostels because of the people you meet but I also like a certain level of comfort. The night we arrived Baba told us that there's no...

I stayed at Ms Pinetree's during my scuba diving week in Palau. The place is a nice hostel with friendly people giving the traveller backpacker feeling. Te place is cleaned everyday and of course remains clean to the extent that the guests clean up after themselves (in kitchen, bathroom etc. I slept in a 4 bed room, from was spacious...

I stayed for a week at Ms Pinetree's and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. There's heaps of DVD's, books and magazines to read and the whole house was kept clean. The air-con in the rooms is an absolute blessing - heat in Koror is relentless!

Just back from Palau. Stayed at Ms Pinetree’s for two nights. This place has good and worse sides. It is one of the cheapest places to stay in Koror (though, as I later discovered, not the cheapest one, especially if you want a private room). It still has the monopoly of the backpacker atmosphere in Koror, although this may change...

“I prefer a lower bunk and then put an extra sheet from the top bunk to hang down to cover my bed to make it darker. And if someone turns on the A/C you won't get blasted with cold air. Hint: if it is cold in the room turn off the A/C after everyone is asleep.”
