Good location but the beds are terrible. They charge you extra for a towel or soap. Extra charge for early checking (like 20$). The staff are super friendly and nice, very helpful. It looks clean. You can hear absolutely everything through the roof.
Great double room, strong wifi, good quiet aircon. daily serviced. Short stroll to citrus bay beach (great swimming) and restaurnts/bars. Very helpful friendly staff. Honest service. Clean and tidy. Not noisy. We enjoyed our stay and booked in a second time after traveling the island. Free breakfast included.
The best part is probably that it's very close to Baie des Citrons - the beach where everyone goes to (see my review on that). If you walk in the other direction, there's also some kind of docking space for yachts, which makes it quite a picturesque area for a walk. The hotel itself is basic - like I said, nothing fancy. You get free wi-fi. There's an automated coffee machine in the lobby. We got a room for 2 people which worked out to be very spacious, actually, with one double (or was it queen?) bed in the centre. The room is air-conditioned. You get towels, but no toiletries (bring your own!). Just keep in mind that on one of the weekend nights, the hotel seems to have a dance club going on, so it gets VERY noisy (we were on the 2nd floor)! For those who drive, there's a parking space on a first-come, first-serve basis out front which I don't think belongs to the hotel as such, but otherwise there's plenty of street parking around.…
If you are looking for a place right near Baie des Citrons at a competitive price this place will meet these requirements. The hotel is basic, but comfortable. The service we received was excellent, wifi worked well and the staff can speak some English which was helpful for those with limited French.
The staff was amazing and the level of service we received was execellent. The room decor was a bit dated. So it kinda felt like visiting your grand parents. Yes the house maybe old, but it is filled with love. And if you are nice, they gave us great tips for what to do around the island. One place they turned me on too was a small "snack shack" right on the beach. The owner/chef/waiter made the most incredible chicken-something-on a baguett sandwhich on the planet thingy!! They even set us up with a wonderful dinner at local restaurant. Thank you again to the wonderful staff.
