Just at the eastern end of the Betio Causeway at the roundabout. Lunch served al day. Burgers, Curries all tasty and prepared reasonably quickly. Enough variety for a couple of lunches with different options each day. Best food I found anywhere on Tarawa

One of the best in South Tarawa. Clean rooms. Good working AC (that is important). Good location close to supermarket, really good restaurant on site. Car rental services and more. Would recommend to everyone.

Staff at Mary's are very friendly. The rooms are basic but the aircon works. The restaurant has sporadic availability of most things but is tasty. Surprisingly I didn't find the burgers very appetising but the fish fingers are very good. Lobster is a good price when they have it. Be certain to have the staff repeat your order back to you as they sometimes write down what they think you ordered and not what you have asked for (eg "ham & cheese & mushroom omelette" when you ask for "cheese & mushroom".). Breakfast can be a challenge as they don't always open at 7 -- and service can be quite slow. During a six night stay the restaurant didn't open for breakfast before we left for meetings (at 815) on one day and on another the food never came before we had to leave even though we ordered at 7). All said, when there were issues with the room (eg broken aircon), staff were very quick to remedy the situation.

We stayed here for almost 2 weeks. The room was comfortable. There was hot water in the shower which is unusual for Kiribati. There was no tv in the room but there are no tv channels in Kiribati either. Air conditioning worked very good. There was free wifi but the signal is not very strong and it is very slow. Was easier to use mobile data. The noise from the causeway was a little disturbing. The restaurant was good. Everything they make is enjoyable. They also have a bit of a different menu for a lot of the other restaurants in South Tarawa.

Don't be confused, it was not flash, but in comparison to what was around it was an oasis. The most important thing was the air conditioners worked and the food was safe! We were in a number of rooms and all had some issues, wardrobe damaged or musty, some issues in the bathroom (but all were able to shower and use the toilet). We enjoyed the area between the rooms where we could sit, chat and enjoy a cool drink in the shade. The restaurant and kitchen found it hard to cope with a big group, we had 18, so if you are in one, please sit seperately and order as you arive. It may appear rude but with more than an hour before the 1st and last meal, don't wait until all meals are served to eat! Other expats staying other places did come here for both breakfast and dinner, so despite the issues, it was better than what was around. Mary's organised cars for us. The ute was great. it took our bags to and from the airport, and 4 of us as we travelled South Tarawa. They also organised a guide to take us to some WWII sites. So this would be my 1st choice if I returned, but at 4/5, please go in with your eyes open. If you are travelling to Kiribati, they probably already are.
