Well when we arrived is was more 'rustic' then we had thought for $200pp/night. We stayed in a fan room to save on costs and be closer to the water but all we had in front of us was mangroves.... if you want a waterfront room ask for rooms between11-16. On night 3 we were moved to 16 and it... More

I was living in Port Moresby and would regularly go out to Loloata for a morning's diving. They have a great set up on the island and a very professional and friendly dive team. You can hire all gear if needed and it's all well looked after. Plus they can pick you up from any of the major hotels in... More

Fantastic little resort so close to Port Moresby and Yet so pristine. Great waters , fantastic diving and snorkelling The silence is amazing. Staff are extemly friendly and helpful. If you are a beginner a trip to Lion Island for snorkelling is a must do. The reefs here will put the Great Barrier reef to shame.Food is good and the... More

The place is a nice get away from the Port Moresby! If your looking for the island feel to start your diving and snorkelling adventure in Papua New Guinea (PNG) then this is a nice place to start your journey. I would recommend the dive and taking a walk to watch the sun go down.

After spending 4 weeks straight, working in Port Moresby, Loloata Island provided great sanctuary in it's ability to get us out of Port Moresby without having to drive for hours or board flights to do so. Although from a location and convenience perspective it is a fantastic option, the cleanliness and quality of the rooms and facilities didn't compare. The... More

We stayed for a weekend and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Price includes the ferry trip to the island, meals, as well as trips over to Lion Island for snorkeling. The accommodation is very basic and dated, but clean and tidy. The food was okay. You can only buy a bottle of wine, not just a glass and prices are high... More

Stayed in this resort for 2 nights back in May. Reason for choosing it was because of its safety, reasonable all inclusive room rates and availability of snorkeling nearby. Pick-up at the airport was timely and the short boat ride was also very pleasant. We arrived early from Cairns, well before check-in time but we were able to enter our... More

We did a day trip from Port Moresby...picked up from the Crowne Plaza.....the whole day we were treated like royalty!! the snorkelling on Lion Island was beautiful...and for a novice like me very exciting...the colours were amazing. The food was average....but with a few simple changes could have been amazing. The resort itself is tired and in need of a... More

I came here just for an afternoon/evening after my conference before flying out. It was a good option for seeing a bit of wildlife if you are only in Port Moresby and don't have time to go very far. It was an easy ride from the airport and a quick boat ride. The food was great, although the cultural show... More

The drive to the jetty took us approximately 30 minutes from Jacksons Parade and it was okay. The roads however could be a lot better. Dangerous pot holes along the way and the sight of rubbish strewn is not good for the country. We got to the jetty on time and was picked up by the owner Captain Knight. Pleasant... More
