I go there to have a nice day break from Moresby, have a snorkel and stop for lunch. I have never said there though. Just pick your day when the weather is not blowing too hard and i am sure you will enjoy.

Everything was good here - from the pickup at the airport, the comfortable and clean room, the meals and the kindness of the staff. We really enjoyed sharing our meals with other guests and the laid back style of the resort.

Good food, though their wifi signal is weak. The shopping was a bit expensive. Lovely service in a beautiful setting, and only a short boat ride. Only negative was the unstable boat dock, scary. But a nice break from the urban setting of Port Moresby.

The location is beautiful and peaceful. A short drive out of town and a quick boat trip across to the island. The rustic facilities are part of the charm that I hope that the 'rumored' new owners don't lose. The accommodations could stand updating, but the staff are welcoming and helpful. The food was good too.

Loloata Island Resort is a magic little island universe that seems removed from the rest of the world. I loved the true stripped back island feel of the place, the homeliness, and the wonderful hospitality of the staff and the owner and his family, who were just delightful people and so willing to share their time and knowledge. There is... More

We came here for a weekend escape from Port Moresby. A short drive down the Magi Highway lands you at the pier for a brief boat trip across to the island. The food was good. It was nice to eat at a shared table, talking with the other guests. Wallabies and crown pigeons abound on the island. We were taking... More

Safe and secure private island with various leisure facilities that are fairly priced. The food is absolutely out of this world, truly amazing, I think it is because it is fresh. If you are from the West you probably haven't had fresh food for a generation now. You can really taste the difference. Like cherry pie from 60's. Delicious.

I would highly recommend Loloata for a day out of Port Moresby. Its not too expensive and offers a range of activities including kayaking, snorkelling, swimming, walking or relaxing on a banana lounge. There are also lots of wildlife for meet. I went out to the Island for a day trip and was picked up from my hotel and taken... More

Well when we arrived is was more 'rustic' then we had thought for $200pp/night. We stayed in a fan room to save on costs and be closer to the water but all we had in front of us was mangroves.... if you want a waterfront room ask for rooms between11-16. On night 3 we were moved to 16 and it... More

I was living in Port Moresby and would regularly go out to Loloata for a morning's diving. They have a great set up on the island and a very professional and friendly dive team. You can hire all gear if needed and it's all well looked after. Plus they can pick you up from any of the major hotels in... More
