Writing for world-adventurer.com i've had a chance to dive all over the world and experience some great dive resorts. Loloata is unique in that it is very convenient from the capital of Papua New Guinea but still has access to some amazing dive sites. The cottages on the hill are private and have excellent views. Restaurant meals were really yum...

Stayed here for final night in PNG after completing the Kokoda. Was a bit of a celebratory night, which was good as the bar was running ok, but also for a bit of relaxation and recovery amongst the corals. Great underwater viewing. The service and the rooms were good, and akin to what you would expect at a Resort. A...

Great place for the family, specially in POM. Great getaway if you have family or friends. Snorkelling is great, corals, beautiful fishes and great clean water. We had and awesome time. Wouldn't mind going back there again. Great memories.

I go there to have a nice day break from Moresby, have a snorkel and stop for lunch. I have never said there though. Just pick your day when the weather is not blowing too hard and i am sure you will enjoy.

Everything was good here - from the pickup at the airport, the comfortable and clean room, the meals and the kindness of the staff. We really enjoyed sharing our meals with other guests and the laid back style of the resort.

Good food, though their wifi signal is weak. The shopping was a bit expensive. Lovely service in a beautiful setting, and only a short boat ride. Only negative was the unstable boat dock, scary. But a nice break from the urban setting of Port Moresby.

The location is beautiful and peaceful. A short drive out of town and a quick boat trip across to the island. The rustic facilities are part of the charm that I hope that the 'rumored' new owners don't lose. The accommodations could stand updating, but the staff are welcoming and helpful. The food was good too.

Loloata Island Resort is a magic little island universe that seems removed from the rest of the world. I loved the true stripped back island feel of the place, the homeliness, and the wonderful hospitality of the staff and the owner and his family, who were just delightful people and so willing to share their time and knowledge. There is...

We came here for a weekend escape from Port Moresby. A short drive down the Magi Highway lands you at the pier for a brief boat trip across to the island. The food was good. It was nice to eat at a shared table, talking with the other guests. Wallabies and crown pigeons abound on the island. We were taking...

Safe and secure private island with various leisure facilities that are fairly priced. The food is absolutely out of this world, truly amazing, I think it is because it is fresh. If you are from the West you probably haven't had fresh food for a generation now. You can really taste the difference. Like cherry pie from 60's. Delicious.
