I went with a tour and stayed 3 days. The hotel was comfortable. It had everything I needed. Hot and cold water, a tub, a fridge and microwave. The only thing I had problems with is that the elevator was out of service. After a long trip I didn't have the energy to climb till the 3rd floor. Next time... More

I travel frequently and stay at a ton of hotels around the world. The cheaper the better in most cases. This hotel was exactly what I needed. Decently priced, good local food, and they even offer tours for people like me (who seek to involve themselves in nature). The service could have been a tad bit better, but I wasn't... More

Reasonable location but you should take care walking around at night. It provides acceptable levels of bedroom but a below average breakfast. Although there is a seafood restaurant on the premises service is, even by the standards of this part of the world, pretty slow. There are plenty of restaurants within a 10 minute walk

The Hotel is fantastic but service is terrible. Can you imagine having a continental breakfast with only butter and toast. The second morning we asked for an omelet. The waitress brought us scrambled eggs and said that that was not included in the breakfast. The third morning we asked for cheese. Imagine getting a piece of cheese about quarter inch... More

The only reason to stay here is if you are on a tour and end up in this disgustingly dirty unhealthy hotel. After opening the bed it appeared that the bed linens had not been changed recently. The next day we returned from touring the maid was in the room and was sweeping the carpet with an old straw broom.... More

2 weeks in Guyana staying at the Kanuku suites. A mid range hotel with comfortable rooms and sea food restaurant on site, definitely worth having several meals here. However, the real selling point for the hotel was the excellent staff. All exceptionally cheerful, helpful and showed a genuine interest in my visit. I could not have wanted for better service!... I stayed here 3 nights on a business trip. First impression wasn't good. I had asked the hotel to arrange for my transportation from the airport and their driver didn't show up.
