I've been in this hostel already twice and will come again any time I'm in Bogota! It simple suit to all my needs - great location in the center, well designed, great breakfast, super clean, place to cook, amazing garden and it's so so peaceful! You will not believe you are in crazy Bogota while you stay there! It's just perfect to have escape and good rest after day tour around city! They even have 2 yoga mats you can borrow for your practice! Recommend to everyone who value peaceful yoga places!
Absolutely lovely hostel. Located in the far end of La Candelaria where it is very quiet but still close to everything including great food. All bedrooms face into one of three beautiful courtyards with fountains, plants and hammocks. Nice to have a quiet and serene place to come back to after a full day about the busy city. The breakfast was good with eggs, toast, jam, cheese, oatmeal, fruit juice, tea & coffee. It gets cold at night and we had more than enough blankets. Plenty of hot water in the showers. The women who work here are very friendly and helpful. They help support single mothers with furthering their education. You can add an additional tip for them. There also is this wonderful blue soap in the bathrooms which you can purchase with the proceeds going to support children's education programs. We had no problems walking around in the evenings. Easily, one of our favorite hostels on our trip to Colombia.…
A peaceful base in a great location for exploring the city (map provided on arrival). I booked a separate room (instead of a dorm bed) with desk as I wanted to do some work but in the end got caught up in the magic of the city – doing the Bogota bike tour, going up Monseratte, exploring the incredible museums & galleries etc. Hostel has a sociable DIY breakfast area where you can share tips and make new friends. Eggs/bread/coffee etc provided. Hot showers/clean bathrooms. Helpful staff: an optional tip is included on your bill. Bill is payable in advance. Only criticism (which should be easily remedied) was that pillows were flat & lumpy. Thick blankets provided for chillier nights.
Anandamayi is special place with quiet rooms, hamacas and a good social vibe with a no alcohol and drugs policy. If u want to stay in an authentic colonial bogota a house right in the centre of Candelaria - this is the place for you.
The hostel is a beautiful, calm spot in the busy city of Bogotá! The hostel was very clean and nicely decorated. The dorm was huge and very clean and provided enough blankets for the cold nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they even made us hot water bottles for the night. It's also good located in la Candelaria!
