Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The hotel is lovely and located centrally with easy access to transportation, shopping and dining. The rooms are very nice with comfortable beds and lots of pillows. There is no no need to pack shampoo, conditioner, body wash or body lotion because that is all provided for you. The view from my room was fantastic and there is a nice mini bar with cold drinks and snacks, all very affordable.
The staff was excellent and responsive. The breakfast was included with my stay and conveniently located in the main dining. Options included various breads, cereal, pastries, fruit, cheeses, fresh juices, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. There are lots of hot food items available including scrambled eggs, hot cereal, and daily changing menu items like arepas, pancakes, french toast, sausage, soups, etc. You can also ask the waiter to bring you eggs made to order.
The hotel has taxi/shuttles readily available out front. The drivers also offer special services and tourism at affordable rates. They are safe and reliable day tours to museums, main tourist sites of Bogota and its surroundings. I was so grateful to the bell staff Antonio Policito for making me aware of the tour options. I was very happy with the services provided by Leonard Llanos, who served as my driver. We stayed in apartment 444; it is an apartment with 2 rooms and separate bathrooms. The apartment has couches, a small dining table and a small kitchen with very few utensils. the positives: the set up is good with children or when traveling in a group, the location of the hotel is excellent, breakfast is convenient, service is excellent (bell boys are very good), cleaning is good. What could improve: the apartments (as well as the whole hotel) are dated, the kitchen could have more utensils and things to use in the kitchen. Although they provide a coffee maker, no coffee is provided (you can always get in in the breakfast area), bathroom grout could be cleaned better.

My wife and I fly from Israel to honeymoon in Colombia for a month. We started our trip in Bogotá at the Hotel Estelar la Fontana. It was just perfect to start the trip in this hotel! The visibility of the hotel, the cleanliness, the rooms, the service, everything is just great! Because we loved the hotel so much we returned to Bogotá at the end of our trip of course to this hotel! I previously contacted LUIS, the hotel manager, which is my and my wife's honeymoon, and we end the trip at his hotel. For a very symbolic price, he upgraded our room to the best room available in the hotel, arranged flowers for us in an amazing way in the room and added a few more things that I asked for and everything was simply beyond expectations! Many thanks to all the hotel employees, we have no doubt that we will meet again.

The hotel is ok, is pretty in the inside, the restaurant is terrific and they serve good quality food. However, dont plan to use the internet connection here, the internet connection speed is really bad, almost none existent, so do plan to have a ready to use connection. The staff is young and needs to learn a lot more, there are not shaving kits, or any essential care kits, if you plan to use the hotel better pack everything you have.
They are also in remodeling so do expect to be wake up early in the morning by rude staff. Overall I would not recommend people to sta in this hotel since Bogota has so many other options for people to stay

Well any story has begging and end. For this hotel check in/out was trully a bad experience. Besides the time, paperwork and mini-bar miscalculation, really turned a lovely stay into an unpleasant experience (hard to validate when you didn't touch the mini bar and your bill says you did consume a lot). Can someone please take a look at this process and make check in/out customer-in-2022 friendly? Antonio the bell boy was amazing, elevator (as stated on other review) is a match box, room was clean and bedding was good, shower had good pressure until you turn on the shower head, then you are transported to how drip coffee is made, great soap collection. Sushi bar is 5 stars with great service. Breakfast restaurant was beautiful and tastefully decorated but could take some extra smiles. Very good location and safe. I am sure the hotel can do better, I have been to other Estelar hotels in Paipa and Cartagena over the last 20 years but this time I won't recommend it.

Stayed at this hotel while attending a year-end party. I wasn’t impressed. The location is superb but the surprises start when you try to get to an elevator and it is a 1-2 person match box. The room was very basic with lack of standard fixtures like a mirror or hangers in the closet. Bathroom is small too with just the basic amenities. Isolation is not great towards the hallway and you hear everyone coming and going. Beds and pillows are comfortable but not great. Wifi service is quite reliable. The service is very good. Overall there are plenty of better choices in Bogota for the same and even lower rates.

I payed a superior room but: Curtains of my room very very dirty, blanket ripped, wifi didn’t work the night of my arrival, towels super rough, just cold water on the sink, fabric of the chair was ripped. The people were very nice. I asked breakfast room service was normal.

The property is well located, next to Unicentro mall. Traffic is crazy in the two streets where is located. If driving there, you can park in garage for free. We rented the large suite room (they also have condo like for rent) the room came with living room, dinning room and kitchen, but the kitchen did not have anything, no microwave oven, and did not get one even after asking for one. No coffee maker in the room either, I got one after asking for it, but never got a coffee refill in the four days we stayed there. The rooms are all date.

Hadn't planned to stay here but our flight to Quito was diverted to Bogota due to protests in Quito. A slew of the 300 odd passengers from the Iberia flight were brought here for a one night stay prior to completing the journey next day. Have to say that while we were put out by the disruption we were very happy with the hotel that Iberia chose for us. Can only say that the hotel staff were magnificent in dealing with the huge number of unexpected guests both at check-in and dispatching us and about 10 tons of baggage back to the airport next morning. Hotel is a very comfortable place to stay with excellent staff, good rooms, comfortable beds, a nice restaurant with friendly staff, attractive courtyards between the adjoining accommodation blocks. We had dinner (restricted menu for diverted passengers) and breakfast in the restaurant - both very good. Checked out the price to stay out of curiosity and were flabbergasted it was only $70-ish. Highly recommend.
