Four Seasons Casa Medina in Bogota is a charming and historical hotel that are just beside the financial district and the gourmet paradise of the Zona G. Ask for an inside room as some rooms in front of the main street can be noisy

I recently spent 3 nights at the Four Seasons (Casa Medina) in Bogota. This classic and historical property, built in the late 1940's as a private residence, oozes with charm and sophistication, yet is not stuffy or pretentious. The rooms have character and charm (opt for a room with a working wood fireplace if possible). The staff was low key but so attentive, nothing fazed them. I had such a beautiful room and when I asked the to remove the big television (if you need a television here) you aren't living properly) and they did not blink and eye, but immediately removed the giant tv. The food here is wonderful, really, really good. The art on the property is classic, and modern and imaginative,....the.... flowers are everywhere, soft Latin music permeates and completes the mood. Nothing I asked for was too much for these wonderful and charming people. I have stayed in great hotels all over the world...this is perhaps the best !

Me and a couple of colleagues had brunch and it was simple but food and taste were of excellent quality. For the brunch they also have a outdoor grill with different meats as an additional value. Their desserts were simply amazing. Service is also top notch. The restaurant is within a historical building in the center of the city. I suggest to visit and you will not walk away disappointed.

I stayed at Casa Medina twice, right at the start of my Colombian tour and at the end. Both stays were marked by very good service from the front desk (nothing was too much trouble) and a struggle with the somewhat quirky layout of the hotel.

The start was not inspiring. In most properties, the Four Seasons builds from scratch or radically redesigns an existing space. Not so with the Casa Medina, an existing hotel that has been revamped by the Four Seasons brand. The fabric of the Casa Medina is somewhat "country house gloomy". You won't find a soaring open plan lobby and you may have to mind bumping your head if you are above a certain height. There are half timbered walls, with dark furniture and lots of 1940s brick. I'm not sure the "country club" is the right analogy and the property is right beside a busy dual carriage way. I don't think the architecture is charming antique. Possibly just a little odd and eccentric.

After my 13 hour flight from London, I was shown to what I can only describe as a garret. A tiny attic room facing the busy road. My recommendation would be to avoid the cheapest rooms (they will not be what you expect) and invest in a bigger room away from the main road.

In the morning, the front desk and the manager were really helpful in exploring options for a much improved room. I ended up staying in the other Four Seasons in Bogota and ensuring that I had a much superior room on my return. I obtained very acceptable free upgrades. The staff were also extremely helpful when my bag was lost by Iberia.

On my return I had a very quiet large room, meeting or exceeding the standards expected from the Four Seasons. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection and I loved the fresh juices. I had dinner once at the hotel and both the seafood and accompanying wine were excellent.

The Casa Medina is a beautiful, historic property in a vibrant and safe residential neighborhood. There are lots of varied restaurants within a 2 block radius to choose from which cater mainly to the upscale locals. It is the staff, however, which gets top billing: warm, responsive, helpful, smiling, welcoming.... The breakfast buffet is extensive/delicious. We even arrived to see our country's flag flying atop the building along with the Columbian flag, something that made us smile. We had a private guide who picked us up and we spent the day touring places of interest. We felt safe whether walking out around the hotel or touring with the guide. At the end of the day, it was wonderful to come 'home' to such comfort and elegance. Thank you Casa Medina!

This Fourseasons has a boutique hotel feel. There is something beautiful and unique around every corner. The hotel bar and restaurant area is beautful. We also enjoyed the spa. The service was spectacular and our room was beautiful and spacious. We were on the top floor in a larger room.
We loved the Fouseasons App which allowed us to text the hotel from anywhere for assistance or for a ride. We used the hotels on-demand car service quite a bit, and it made our trip very enjoyable and easy.
This hotel is also located in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of cafes and restaurants. We loved walking around the neighborhood with the children.

Perfect stay. Luxury and comfort in keeping with the four seasons brand standard. Extremely helpful staff including front desk, concierge, restaurant waiters & bartenders, bell boy, security. Personal and special experience for us on our honeymoon and my birthday.

We had a fireplace room and the staff lit a real wood fire for us which created a very cozy experience.

I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bogota.

Thank you to everybody for making our stay so memorable.

We stayed here at the beginning of Covid so protocols were just beginning to be put in place. We were a group of 12 and I really think we were possibly the only guests in the whole place. Our room was very large and quiet because it was on the back of the hotel so there wasn't much of a view except over the other rooftops. The entryway included a small bar and a huge multi-door closet area, which was great but I would have preferred some of that square footage be added to the bathroom, which was nice, but small and dark. There was also a sofa, coffee table, fireplace and easy chair - so the room was quite spacious. The main thing I hated was the soft mattress, which gave me a backache. I even had to get a massage (which was average) because of it. Interestingly, the massage therapist must have mentioned to the manager about the mattress because, the next day, the hotel offered to change out the mattress for a firmer one! I didn't even know that was an option, but was very happy that it was! The food in the restaurant was good and the service was friendly - more so than at the front desk, where they were pretty serious. I wish this beautiful hotel were in a nicer area of town. You have to cross a large street to get to an area a few blocks away with more shops and restaurants.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for four nights to explore and enjoy Bogota before going to Cartagene. The staff is excellent, providing very personal and attentive services at all times. Especially would like to mention concierge Carolina who spent time with us each day providing information on the history of Columbia, tips on exploring Bogota, and helping with car and restaurant reservations. Also, the front door and front desk staff (Juan David and manager Carlos Cabrera especially), waiters and other service staff were all professional and provided very accommodating service at all times. The restaurant is attractive with very good food. We enjoyed the breakfast brunch each day and also a wonderful dinner one evening. The hotel and rooms are attractive and maintained very well. Overall, would highly recommend Four Seasons Medina.

The Four Seasons Casa Medina is a lovely hotel that pays architectural homage to Spanish Renaissance elegance without compromising on modern luxuries and conveniences. The staff were incredibly friendly and the breakfast was stellar! The only downside is that noise reverberates quite a bit... get used to hearing floorboards creak!
