After a loot of googling hotel reviews as well as descriptions of safe areas in Bogotá, we decided to stay at Royal Hacienda (nh collection). A desicion we do not regret. The hotel is situated opposite a nice little park and our room had a view of the park and the mountains. It is also located a couple of blocks away from the main road which means it's really quiet. The hotel is very clean an well kept, as well as the rooms. We had a twin bed room. The beds were really big and comfortable. So a big thumbs up for comfort. There's also a good enough gym in the basement which we utilized a lot.
The staff was really friendly and helpful (especially good for us since our spanish needs a lot of improvement). The serving staff in the restaurant were really sweet and always greeted us with smiles. They also enjoyed helping us with spanish phrases (much to our mutual amusement).
A few minutes walk from the hotel you'll find a great variety of restaurants and bars. The area itself is very safe and quiet.
Now, we were here during a very bad time with the pandemic situation and also the periodic lockdowns of the city. The hotel handles it very well, everybody wears protective masks and there are alco-gel dispensers all around.
So to sum up a lenghty review, we fully recommend this hotel for its location, staff, comfort and great value for money.

We had a wonderful stay at Hacienda Royal, and the friendly staff took excellent care of us. We mentioned it was our honeymoon and the concierge Carlos went out of his way to make us feel special by setting up our room for romance. The room was great, with a comfortable bed, a hot rain shower and beautiful views of the mountains. Relaxing in the hotel's sauna and steam room was the perfect way to unwind. The area has great restaurants and an excellent Sunday artisan market and it felt very safe. We are traveling for a month in Colombia and this was the perfect way to treat ourselves in the middle of our trip. Highly recommended!!

By the time we left the hotel, we unironically felt part of the family. The hotel staff were very kind, helpful, friendly, and attentive to any need. At one point I had left an umbrella in a taxi and the driver was due to drop it off at the hotel in the morning. I left some compensation cash for the driver at the front desk and the staff made sure to collect the umbrella for me and pay the driver. The rooms were very pleasant, no complaints. We asked for extra blankets and we got them. The gym was handy too, and free flavored water is provided there, as well as at the hotel entrance along with snacks. Laundry is expensive but everything was returned well in packaging or clothes hangers and on the same day. But one of the best parts was the breakfast buffet. There’s an excellent variety of fruits, pastries, cheeses, breads, cereals, and drinks. You can have for eggs, traditional arepas, traditional fried rice, and hot chocolate etc on request for no extra charge. Food was delicious and served 6-10am. Special shout out to staff members like Andrés Dominguez and Pedro who made our stay even better especially at breakfast, as well as to the cleaning and front desk staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is excellent as it’s attached to the Santa Barbara Mall, in a walkable neighborhood, and there are many restaurants and outdoor markets to enjoy.
The room was comfortable and well appointed. In the bathroom, the water pressure was strong and the temperature was hot. We appreciated the environmental measures with refillable shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and body lotion containers.
The food in the hotel restaurant was delicious. Purchase the daily breakfast, and enjoy a wide variety of options at the buffet, and order any type of eggs you want. We had the four course Valentine dinner, and it was delicious.
The hotel staff made our stay the favourite part of the trip. Everyone was welcoming, and a few were outstanding. Alejandra and Davinson at the front desk; Jason with hotel security (who wrestled a broken room safe out of our closet and replaced it with a new one minutes after we called the front desk); Beriosca Nova, our third floor housekeeper, and all the wait staff in the dining room, with particular mention to Elber in the evening and Pedro, who started our day with a smile at every breakfast.

I would like to write this msg to thank Mr Jorge, the security person of NH Hacienda Royal Bogotá.
I stayed @Hacienda Royal twice last mnth 20-21st and 26-27th of January.
Both times Mr Jorge has assisted me courteously. I would like his managers and the hotel to know that I appreciate his service very much.
I went to a super market in the same block of the hotel that I asked the information of the super market @the hotel reception on January 20th. When I finished with my shopping, Mr Jorge came to the super market to make sure of my safety. At the beginning I was surprised, because I didn’t expect this service. Even though it was only less than 5 mins walk, I appreciated and felt very welcome that he came to find me and walked me and helped me carry my grocery.
On my second stay, Mr Jorge recognized me and he offered me to walk me frm the grocery store. I declined his offer, but I am very grateful.
I appreciate his kindness and professionalism.
Over all I received warm and quality service frm all the employees frm the hotel.
I am working to Bogotá again tmrw. I hope to see Mr Jorge again to thank him for his service.

I am a solo vacationer who stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The security here is exceptional, and they provide transportation service (billed to the room or you pay cash). The rooms are spacious and maintained. The bathroom is clean and operates as expected. The hotel's location is excellent for business travelers and those seeking quiet or the most secure area. There's a previous review of the staff robbing a guest, which is certainly untrue. I left valuables out, and the house keeping staff never touched them.

The hotel seemed like a good option to stay in Bogota, with decent, clean and spacious facilities plus a good enough location.
Nevertheless, the value and positives have been overshadowed by the service provided by the staff after our stay. As soon as we arrived home we noticed we had left one of our cowboy boots (single boot out of a pair) in the hotel room and immediately reported it to the NH via email and Booking messages with no response. After hours had passed, we were able to get a hold of the personal at the front desk who swiftly claimed that House Keeping had found nothing.
Since the cowboy boot has extreme sentimental value for my wife, we have tried to follow-up via email, Booking and phone with the staff in order to investigate further but our communication efforts have been shunned and avoided. It would seem that at least looking at the hallway cameras or following up with housekeeping should be in order, but post-stay service at the NH is clearly not a priority.

Such a wonderful, warm, beautiful hotel. Located in a wonderful neighbourhood, connected to a nice mall, and walking distance to a beautiful weekend market that is open on the weekends. Such kind staff (house keeping, restaurant, front desk, security). Wonderful breakfast (pastries, bread, fresh juice, best eggs I have ever eaten, deli meat, coffee) and 30 minute ride to Chapinero and 10 minute ride to a nearby mall. You can take taxi or Uber and they will even arrive an airport transport (93000 pesos pickup, 70000 pesos depart). I stayed in a suite and it’s bigger than my apartment in the states, comfortable bed. Warm water and very clean. They also have a deal for a free drink at the bar if you don’t utilise house keeping for a day (I am not drinking right now so I didn’t utilise that deal). This was my fourth time in Colombia, but I will return to this hotel. Thank you so much for your kindness.

I have stayed at the NH Hacienda Royal before but it has been a very long time due to the COVID issues and the government crack down on gatherings. Well, I was back for the first time in almost a year and it was tremendous. They have just opened up again and my business travel companion and I were the only two in the hotel. The staff treated us like royalty. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, and friendly. I ended up having dinner at the hotel one night and just wanted a snack. They fixed me ham and potato fritters that were out of this world. Breakfast was cut back from the large and open buffet of days gone by, but Pedro fixed me up with a sumptuous breakfast of scrambled eggs with ham, cheese and onion, beads, jam, an amazing fruit plate of fresh cut fruit and of course the best colombian coffee ever! My room was spacious, and very comfortable. The area around the hotel stillhas some eateries open and a suprising verya ctive market and outdoor dining scene. The mall that the hotel is attached to, however has taken a real hit in traffic and about half of the stores have closed. The Hacienda Royal, however is as awesome as ever! Please come to Bogota and when you do, you MUST stay at the NH Hacienda Royal! Pedro, Anna, and everyone there, from the wonderful front desk people to the cooks in the kitchen and maid staff are the most wonderful people you could meet and they will treat you right!!

I usually stay at this hotel for work and this hotel is amazing. They reception staff is always friendly and helpful when I’m needing things for my stay. They also assist with giving recommendations and directions on things I need and things I want to see.
The restaurant staff is always accommodating. They will try to make the food I crave and they are very flexible with dietary inclinations. The staff is always happy and cheerful.

They never asked me, when I have people visited , but if you mean a sleeping guest, remember you must pay extra for the breakfast of this person and register in front desk, due security concerns, because in Bogota are a couple cases of crime and most are fault from the tourist, never trust in a person who you meet in internet

El desayuno es muy bueno, tiene platillos tipicos colombianos y tambien una variedad de frutas, quesos, cereal, pancakes, panecillos, etc. Si desea pedir un omellete se lo preparan al momento. El café es buenisimo.
