We booked a double luxury room for 4 nights. Upon arrival we were settled in room 704, on the second-highest floor, facing carrera 13th. Our room was straightforward furnished, reasonably sized, with quite a huge & comfortable bed. Staff were very friendly and service provided indeed good. Food quality and variety for breakfast was also very good and attractively presented. Unfortunately our room turned out to be quite noisy as the soundproofing against both outside & inside noise is apparently rather marginal. This attractive location is also obviously very busy, especially over the weekend, as there are many restaurants, bars and dancings in the neighborhood. Nevertheless a good experience.

Beautiful, well-located hotel in Zona T. Professional, friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable rooms with a lot of amenities. The restaurant is also great, with a very complete brunch on Sundays. Walking distance from great restaurants, and shopping centers.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff was around to welcome us, check-in was smooth, the staff was very well trained and friendly. The location is excellent, surrounded by hundreds of bars and restaurants. The hotel staff did everything to make our stay comfortable including getting us complimentary wine and cheese. The room was very comfortable and modern. The hotel bar was good too. Memorable stay.

Twenty two Canadians spent three lovely days at the Victoria Regia. Perfect location, great service, comfortable beds, delicious breakfast and what a fun city! Close to great restaurants. Osk, across the street, is famous for Japanese fusion.

The hotel is well located , but request a higher room as the street noise at weekends carries Overall it’s comfortable but the service was at times painfully slow or lacking initiative . We ate breakfast from a good spread but waited ages for tea which had stood too long. Lunchtime service was slow for a very mediocre pasta dish , they had run out of Chardonnay by the glass . In contrast room service was very prompt The breakfast is accompanied by Edith Piaf and similar music -it’s adding nothing but a bit of fake Frenchness in a vibrant Colombian city Good gym , decent room but very hot if comfortable bed

Very nice hotel in the safe area of Bogota, with all commodities and the best - wonderful bed for sleeping ( I have same experience in all Sofitel hotels worldwide). Although in Bogota it’s more like Luxury Boutique hotel, you will meet perfectly trained staff and they will solve all your problems and needs.

Sofitel is one of the coziest hotels I've stayed at in Latin America. Talk about getting the best sleep! The bed is soft and the sheets too. This was my second time staying at this hotel, and I would stay here again. Breakfast is great but if you're on a time limit make sure to plan accordingly because you do have to place an order for eggs, waffle, omelets and pancakes, and they tend to take a while to get that order to you. Especially if there's a lot of people at a time. The location of the hotel is great too! Lots of restaurants bars and shopping within walking distance.

The hotel is located in a nice residential area with lots of cafés and restaurants providing any food style preferred and including some quite elegant venues. As we had dinner in one of them I cannot judge the quality of the hotel's own restaurant but based on the high quality of the varied breakfast buffet I would not think that you can go wrong. Our spacious room had a pleasant modern decor and the King bed was very comfortable. The shower cabin was large, the water pressure was reliable. Regrettably the washing basin is installed in the room, separated by a wooden rail but close to the bed, and part of the bathroom door is made of opaque glass. This means that you will definitely disturb your partner's sleep in case you get up in the night. Room 415 faces the rear side of the hotel and you would thus expect it to be a quiet room. Yet, the Sofitel is somewhat poorly soundproofed, and we heard noisy neighbours talking till 2 am, doors being slammed till 4 am and showers being taken throughout the night. This inconvenience is the reason for the 4 points ranking...

The Sofitel is a very nice hotel in a great neighborhood called Zona T. It is about 30 min away from the old downtown Bogota where most tourists will spend a lot of time seeing La Candelaria, Plaza de Bolivar and taking the Teleferico to Monserrate. After visiting Bogota, I don’t think I would stay in any other area than Zona T, where the Sofitel is located. I would not stay downtown or anywhere close to downtown as it is not safe at nights and you should not be out after dark. Zona T is a very upscale neighborhood with all the best bars and restaurants in town. It feels very safe any time of day and is busy at night. There is plenty to do in the area after a day of sight seeing in downtown. The hotel has L’Occitane products in the bathroom and shower that smell great. The rooms are large and very well appointed with a comfortable bed. Though, if you sleep hot like I do, the bed was extremely hot. There is just one very large thick comforter on the bed and I would wake up sweating every night, even with the air set to 10° at night. Breakfast was great offering many fresh fruits, meats and house made omelettes. We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel. There is no train system to get out of the airport so you will need to either take a bus (seemed too complicated), a taxi, a chartered car or Uber. Read up about using Uber in Colombia first. I don’t recommend taking an Uber from the airport because the police target and harass the Uber drivers if they suspect it is an Uber. The Taxi was cheap, something like $100,000 COP or $25 USD.
