We too booked the BOG based on the very up front marketing and mention of it being a 5 star. Having stayed in some amazing hotels over the years I have to be honest about the experience at the BOG...it is very good but not excellent. What's good - location (close to zona rosa and excellent for the nightlife of Bogotá). The breakfast was really good and there was at least one different dish each day. The staff are friendly and tried hard to communicate with us despite our terrible Spanish. The pool is a great asset and contrary to other reviews, we were able to access it most days (I'm not see sure why you couldn't access it after 6pm, disappointing). What could be improved - the room we stayed in was rather small (even considering we went with their basic room but a 5 star it was not), there was no sink in the toilet, the air conditioning was pathetic and we were incredibly hot most nights, and the decor was ok but very corporate business like, not comfy boutique as they promote. Overall a good option to stay in Bogotá but a little over-hyped and priced for what it is.…
Chic, trendy hotel located in a great location in Bogotá. Walking distance to shops and restaurants which is a bonus. We checked in late around 2am when we landed. Room did not have working air conditioning. They gave us a fan for the night and said it will be fixed in the morning. We asked again the next morning and they sent a maintenance guy. They kept telling us it was fixed and when we went up it was still not fixed. We requested a different room but they insisted hotel was full even though it was not. This went on for hours and when we finally lost our temper and wanted to cancel our reservation they magically found us a new room. Throughout this whole exchange there were no apologies from hotel staff for the inconvenience caused by the faulty AC unit. This hotel came highly recommended by our friends who stayed here previously. It fell very, very short of expectations. Worst customer service ever in a 5 star hotel. You can do better to stay in the other luxury hotels in the area for the same price.…
Advantages -Good breakfast, but not a 5 star breakfast. -Good cocktails. -Good room service. -Friendly employees. Disadvantages -Pool area is not very clean and sometimes closed for private events. -DirectTv in the room sucks. -Maid service is not proactive. Conclusion -Hotel is not a five star hotel. For almost the same price it is way better to go and stay at the Sofitel in Bogota.
Located in the chic part of Bogota, close to high end shops and restaurants, the hotel is well designed, with a comfortable bed, powerful shower, excellent breakfast and a very willing staff. I was able to walk to many restaurants and felt safe doing so
This was a great hotel experience. The service was professional and helpful. Room was great and a nice, central location. They also included a big breakfast spread (they said continental but it was more than that). I also loved the heated pool on the roof.
Modern hotel, nicely appointed; restaurant food was quite good and the staff was attentive, professional, and very courteous. Location nice walking distance to mall and restaurants. We enjoyed staying here, appreciated the COVID precautions, and saw couples and families enjoying the space
I traveled here in mid-march with my husband for a 2 night stay. The hotel was very well designed, feeling like a luxury boutique hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean and comfortable. Other amenities such as the rooftop pool and lounge is very beautiful as well. The morning breakfast spread was one of the most impressive I've seen! My only downside was the location. The hotel seems to be on a busy business /commerce street, surrounded by buildings. When we arrived, we were surprised with how "dead" the location is, considering the positive location reviews that I read.
Very well located luxurious hotel where we stayed a week. The staff was amazing especially Carlos who was so helpful in particular when we were sick. The hotel is beautiful. The day always starts with a delicious breakfast followed by a swim in the superb heated pool. The suite was very comfortable with an amazing bathroom Overall a great place I would definitely go back to!
Located in a nice upscale neighborhood, modern and stylish hotel. Nice restaurant and bar. Rooms are also nicely decorated, I recommend the business rooms as they are larger than the standard rooms (for me Standard would be a bit too small). Nice pool and bar on the rooftop. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. They make you feel comfortable. This is really nice here. Only point that could be improved: more manager attention would make operations more fluid (sometimes things are forgotten etc, and therefore a manager could help further improve this aspect - not really a major problem just a small hint). Definitely a very nice hotel which I can recommend.
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in beautiful big rooms, with floor to ceiling windows. Nice pool on the roof top, free bottles of water. Very modern and upscale hotel. One of the best breakfast spreads I’ve seen in a long time! We had a mix up with our reservations and Angél did a great job accommodating us. We were also with a small baby, so everyone went above and beyond to help. Many people spoke English and EVERYONE in the hotel was so accommodating and nice. I don’t remember people’s names but the two bell boys who were learning russian were accelerant. The breakfast staff did a great job. Would recommend to ANYONE in Bogota.
