Our room was quite big and clean and we had a hot shower. The reception was opened 24 hours, that makes the place safer. At the back of the hostel you'll find a common place with a kitchen and a smoker's area. It's nicely located in La Candelaria, there're plenty of restaurants, museums and shops nearby. Unfortunately our room had... More

Hello Zill. Thank you so much for your recomendation. As you saw, this is a house with historic preservation and we can not make many adjustments. However, we try to control noise after 11 pm and our guests can rest. Thank you very much for having stayed with us and we hope to have you back. Best regards from Bogotá. More

Our hostel is located in the heart of la candelaria, the touristic side of bogota. Next to it is a beautiful café where you can have lunch, 200m away are some nice bars and restaurants. Our room was basic, but clean and comfortable. There's a room if u want to hang out and a smoker area. The staff was ok,... More

La Candelaria was a good location for my first 3 nights in Bogota because a lot of attractions are within walking distance. However, when I return to the city at the end of my trip, I'll choose to stay further north where the nightlife is more alive and the streets feel a little safer. Explora is an excellent choice in... If you need a bed, you need space, then this is a good option. If you're after something more cosy and homely then head elsewhere. This is well located in La Candelaria, central to all the bars and museums. It is spotlessly clean - I witnessed a lady literally scrubbing everything in the kitchen. Breakfast is basic but good value... More

The location is good, it's in the center which is ideal to visit museums and touristic places, the building is all but very clean, hot showers, wifi and breakfast for additional amount just $2, the place is quiet, the attention is good, there is someone 24 hrs to help. I recommend this place to have a relax nights in your... More

Explora is a great option if you are looking for a new, clean, modern hostel in La Candelaria. It is a great location within easy walking distance to the big museums and lots of restaurants and bars. The showers are amazing - hot and strong! The wifi is great except at peak times when (9am and 7pm) when it becomes... More

Dorms are super comfortable, toilets are always clean and with hot water, and is a very calm hostel. Location is perfect for visiting the touristic spots because you can do everything by foot, but if you are looking more for partying be aware that staying in Candelaria might make you use a lot of taxi/uber :)

I stayed at Explora for 12 days. I am glad I decided to stay here. It is super clean, breakfast is for 4000 COP so you pay the day you would like to eat it. There is no social vibe at the hostel but you can go to other party hostels nearby to meet people. Explora is where you can... More

The hostel, a good example of the Candelaria's beautiful colonial architecture, is well maintained and very clean (which is more than you get in many of the other Candelaria hostels). The common area lounge is greenhouse-esque (the ceiling is plexi-glass) and the back wall is covered in thick green vines. I stayed there for a few weeks waiting for an... More

It's pretty much what you would want out of a hostel. Good location, good beds, good bathrooms, good vibe. Doesn't look or feel scuzzy. Only bad part was that two people in my dorm room had their belongings stolen, presumably by someone else staying in the dorm.
