We stayed here for a night for a night in this well located hostel in La Candelaria. We asked for a dorm room, but according to the owners (ok people) they were all booked - even though it seemed to be pretty empty during our entire stay (we only saw a couple of other guests there). Hence, we had to... More

At first I was a little hesitant about staying here (had heard the location is a bit dodgy), but changed my mind completely on arrival. The lively square directly outside can be a bit noisy (not good for those expecting a quiet night), but otherwise felt safe and atmospheric, with a couple of nice restaurants next door and around the... We stumbled on this Hostel by chance and decided to give it a go. I believe we paid 50.000 COP for a private twin room, which equates to 10 Euro per person, per night. The room was a little shabby and the matress was not great, but who can complain for 10 Euro per night, as the location was absolutely... More

I am so pleased to review this facility. Roberto, the manager offers hospitality with a sense of family. He maintains this place clean, neat, and offers a wonderful daily breakfast with Colombian coffee, complementary. He knows Bogota very well and offers guidance on how to get around the city. Besides, the location of Casa Quevedo makes easy to visit the... More

Hostal Casa Quevedo is a great place to stay if you're looking to be close to the great little plaza - Chorro de Quevedo. This plaza is chosen as a hangout for locals Thursday through Saturday nights and you can meet other travellers there whilst having locals perform musical, comical and magical skits etc. There are plenty of restaurants nearby... First of all, the noise was terrible. Because the hostel is located on a busy square (which actually was a nice square and a great location in Candelaria) there is a lot of noise at night which kept me out of my sleep. Another annoyance was the fact that you had to ring a bell to get in. This means... More

Most uncomfortable bed I've had since China! It's made of plastic, was hard as stone, will make you sweat and the pillow is a stiff, plastic rock too. It's SO BAD that it would have been really funny if it wasn't so painful!! Also, the owner smokes downstairs which filled our room with smoke all the time and this place... More

Right on the little plaza in the very heart of Candelaria (try the pizzas in the tiny restaurant immediately to your left as you exit the hostel, if you stay); but the location is literally in the eye of the storm for noise. Friday and Saturday night the police come through and send everyone on their way at midnight, no... More

Roberto, the owner, was wonderful, hospitable man, was very helpfull. Its location was great close to Plazoleta del Chorro de Quevedo where everynight we could watch and listen to youth's performances. It's a wonderful place to feel the atmosphere of Colombia. When one of us got sick Roberto helped us. So in my opinion this place was our home in... More

We loved our stay at Casa Quevedo. We weren't sure how we would find it after reading a bad review, but we were pleasantly surprised. Roberto, the owner was incredibly kind, and cooked us a delicious breakfast every morning; an omelette with a croissant and a fresh cup of hot coffee. He also gave a us a map, answered every...
