....the Internet wifi is very spotty which can leave you hanging at an inopportune moments. my tablet crashed when the signal droped, the signal also dropped on my smart phone at the same time so fairly sure thats what the cause of the crash was. Luckily a complete reboot fixed it. this morning I've had wifi signal about 70 percent of the time, the signal has dropped no less than 40 times, and I'm not streaming, just have a music channel on. decent shopping is about a 15 minute walk

Stayed here for 2 nights on route to Cartagena.
We read the reviews after booking and were concerned about some negative ones.
However the worst issue was it was hard to find coming in from the airport but once the taxi driver knew where it was it was in a nice central area.
Near a large shopping area and a long row of restaurants and great night life and safe.
Definitely would recommend it to anyone.
The staff very nice and recommended many nice tourist places including the Train ride to the "Salt Cathedral" which was the high lite of our trip to Bogota. They also arranged several taxi rides at a very reasonable price.
The breakfast was a Bonus........Thanks for a great stay.

Toilet was utterly dirty with disgusting yellow water in it; did not work and cannot flush.
Small fridge kept liking water
Tap water tasted funny
The room was falling apart, everything was dated and without service.
TV was from the 90s
Curtains were soo dirty, disgusting
Bathroom window did not close, so many noises at night prevented to have a good night sleep
Pillows had a funny smell

I stayed at this hotel because it is located in the northern of Bogota and I had to travel north to Tocancipa for business. I was told it was a nice area, which it is but I had several dissapointments.
This was a business trip to Colombia, after 4 cities and being this the 5th and last hotel of my trip, I can say it was the worst experience.
This was the only hotel that charged me US $35 for early-check in.
To call a cell phone you need to buy a $5 phone card, even if you have to talk for just one minute.
Front desk kids are educated and will politely tell you the extra fees and hotel rules, they are not friendly, no smiles, apparently just tired of so many complaints for the hotel policies.
You will be awaken at 5 am by the noise from outside and there is no way you can go back to bed.
The room was big and clean but it didn't have a desk to work. The only thing I loved was the huge screen TV.

Dear Customer. We apologize for any inconvenience you may experienced in our Hotel. First let me thank you for your honest and blunt review. Our service is very important for us and evidently there was a fault in whole process that unfortunately caused you some bad experiences. However this review help us restructure and rethink all of our processes and now we are more careful with all these details. Changes we made since your last visit: -Local calls are unlimited and free. -First 5 minutes on International calls are complementary (free) -Early check-in is waived when available* -And we have a more varied and improved breakfast menu *some times it is impossible to have the rooms ready before the check-in time but we still working on that. We sincerely are working hard to be better on all the small bits of service and that's why we appreciate comments like yours. Therefore we will encourage you to come again and visit us with a 50% discount and a free Dinner in our new restaurant. Just send me an e-mail to jcamilog@hotelsantabarbarareal.com and We will take care of you. Sincerely Juan Camilo Gomez Hotel Santa Barbara Real

We paid $149 plus 10% IVA plus $10 local tax for a 2-bed room. For that price, we were first taken to a room with a single bed. We were moved to a 2-bed room that had 1 shower towel for 2 persons. At about 11:30PM a loud, screeching sound erupted that seemed to come out of the TV. However, it was the next room guest taking a shower. Although we had requested a glass of OJ and a cup of coffee before the coffee-shop opened the next morning at 6:30AM and it was agreed to, at 6:25AM the next morning both denied by the woman at the front desk. For those who like to expect a safe to safeguard their computer, forget about it. The safe was barely large enough to accommodate a large billfold.
Anything positive to say? Yes, the room was very clean.
Summary: I would rate this hotel as a 2-star, not a 4-star, as claimed on the ad, and certainly not recommend it.

stayed there for 10 days, was clean, comfortable, had friendly staff, cared for me. Location was good, and at 50US a night, a good deal for the location. Needs some work on the wi fi since, while free, sometimes gave a little trouble.

My wife and I have stayed there twice for a week and we found it very good. They have improved a lot of things. The best:: everything is new an very modern. Staff is very helpful, friendly, and respectful. Breakfast: Everyday they offered to you something different. The Location: very close to the best malls and restaurants such Unicentro, Andino, Zone T, Park 93 st. Not need to mention about cleaning. The only complain it is when somebody is taking a shower you know it. I have not clue why the water pipes make too much noise. Price it is just fair. The taxi service (white taxi) it is very good, the drivers are very kind, helpful, and someone you can trust. Another plus: they do not charge for Wifi.

This was a last minute booking and I was more than pleasantly surprised. The staff and facility is excellent. The hotel is modern and hip. Very contemporary rooms. Breakfast was basic, but service was excellent. The hotel has chauffeur service, which I used and again, excellent driver and service.I read some other reviews and can't imagine that we stayed at the some place. Many foreigners . Again, I really enjoyed my stay and recommend this hotel.

I was there for 3 days, breakfast included, however is not too much options to get the delicious Colombian food.
The water in the mini bar is crazy expensive $ 15000 Colombian pesos for a bottle?
The TV not too much channels and not HD.
In General is ok but you can get better places with the money that you pay there.
