The hotel casa deco emerges in a wonderful decó refurbished building. the inside has a pleasant Italian touch with lovely details given by its Italian owner. it offers the perfect combination between a discrete service with a personal, cozy and artistic touch. the interior of the hotel has generous spaces, high ceilings, wooden floors, big windows and balconies to look out over the nearby pedestrian streets. casa deco hotel is located in the most important governmental and cultural centre of the colombian capital. most of the mayor historical monuments, colonial spots and tourist attractions, such as the gold and the botero museums vanguards theatres and the cathedral situated in front of the plaza de bolivar, are just few minutes away by foot.

Detailed Reviews
The hotel is set in the middle of the historic La Candelaria district a short walk from several restaurants and bars. Set on four floors the hotel has an individual design with a interesting blend of traditional and contemporary. Artwork throughout the hotel gives it a contemporary feel but timber floors in all the rooms are a signal of its historic location. Access to upper floors is via a steel cantilevered circular stairway although for anyone with mobility issues it should be noted there is no lift.
Our room on the fourth floor was very spacious with a huge balcony overlooking the historic district. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom equally spacious. A little variability with the hot water shower but nothing major.
Breakfast is served with fruit salad to start followed by choice of four hot dishes, there is a different home made smoothie every day plus choice of tea and coffee. All the staff were very cheerful and friendly which made for an excellent stay. There are only seven tables in the dining rom which did result in a delay on our first morning, due to a large group leaving early.
No issues with security. There are bars a short walk away and we dined at the excellent Origen restaurant for two nights which is only a four minute walk from the hotel.

This is a nice, well placed small hotel, perfect for exploring downtown Bogota on foot and felt very safe to be out and about in La Candaleria district. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with tips on places to go. Our room was up quite a lot of stairs but was large and comfortable with a big bed.

Casa Deco is a lovely traditional hotel in great location on the edge of the La Canderlaria area. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with double glazing, which effectively dampened the inevitable noise of the city. There were many restaurants, cafes and local attractions all within walking distance. The staff were very helpful and a good breakfast was available.
High recommended!

A small but friendly hotel in the backpacker district w3ith good restaurants and bars nearby
The rooms are small, particularly the bathrooms, we had the only ground floor room which was very dark with a tiny enclosed courtyard, it was very noisy overnight mainly with dogs and a noisy bar/restaurant opposite, particularly with the breakfast guitarist starting at 0715 (though in 3 nights we only saw and heard him once), other guests on our trip also reported that their rooms were noisy because of the open courtyard/stairwell.
The rooms were clean although the beds were not the most comfortable and creaked a lot. WiFi kept dropping out and we had to log in numerous times during the day/evening, and the signal was not particularly strong
There is a rooftop with a bar service and great views over Bogota.
Breakfast was very basic, with a ‘take it or leave it’ option – a pre cut fruit bowl (with papaya every day – yuk!) and eggs (scrambled or omelette) which although tasty was very monotonous for three consecutive days. The juice again was a ‘take it or leave it’ and in 2 of 3 days was not very pleasant (or to my taste)
Coffee and ‘aromatic’ is available throughout the day in the main area but it was never very hot and the coffee tasted ‘stewed’
The staff were wonderful, very helpful and polite and the location is great for the old town/historic area and the backpacker areas
There are also lots of good and reasonable café/bars nearby

The hotel offers a central position
Our room was on the ground floor behind reception, and the window looked onto a wall within a few feet. It felt depressing. The key did not work properly, and even the receptionist had trouble getting us back in to the room
When we went to breakfast there were no tables free and a long queue had formed. We had to decamp to the bar where service was very slow and hence when we were due to be picked up for a tour, we were not ready.
As others have remarked breakfast is basic, no choice, but we found it quite acceptable
In the end it is down to the traveller if they want to trade of the position and price of this hotel, for spending more to avoid the problems we had here

Standard hotel. We stayed here on a group tour arriving a day early. We had hoped for double bed but they were fully booked that said the beds were comfortable. The room however was very cold as was the shower. We did mention this and we’re told to run the water for a while but to no avail. The sink water was hot. The room itself was large and clean.
The staff were lovely and welcomed us providing us with map and recommendations.(they spoke some English). The breakfast was excellent - fruit, choice of eggs and bread/croissant served at the table with juice and tea/coffee. There was coffee or aromatic tea available in the foyer all day. The hotel also has sun terrace with great views and is in good location in Old Town to access all sights.

ok, i skipped a resie at selina down the street because all the reviews said the noice was bad. this one had a few of those too and i took a chance and i have no idea what some of you are talking about. Also, you are on a busy cross street and next to two schools. complain much?
i got the quite on the top floor. the view is amazing. you get a front row seat on bogota. the room is crazy big. the room, also, used to be a smokers room. it needs a fresh coat of paint. the hot water is sparce after 9 a.m. so hit the shower early.
the staff? super cool. VERY nice people.
the breakfast...perfect size and yummy.
the location? right in the middle of it. seriously you can walk pretty much anywhere in Candelaria. Like five minutes to all the good stuff.
It is a pretty good deal for the price.

After a long flight, we arrived in the evening and were given a very warm welcome in the rather cool city of Bogotá. The city hotel has large rooms and a modern bathroom as well as a large terrace that offers a view of the Monserrate and the lively La Candelaria district. We received valuable tips for excursions and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious and the service was very good. The only downside is the street noise (close the windows).

Great hotel with fantastic staff in the heart of the Candelaria. We stayed here on our honeymoon. We were unfortunately very sick while we were there and the staff were all wonderful and took excellent care of us. They also helped us organize rides to and from the airport and around the city, and organized a driver to pick up our extra suitcases at the airport and deliver them to our hotel while we visited Caño Cristales (our suitcases were too heavy for the small flight to La Macarena). When I left my wallet in a taxi, the taxi driver dropped off the wallet at Casa Deco and they graciously held on to it until I returned to Bogota. Katrina and Lina were especially helpful as we were organizing our trip. Would recommend 100% for the care the staff has for their guests comfort!

We stayed at Hotel Casa Deco on four separate occasions during our long trip to Colombia (Bogota was the hub for various elements of our holiday) - and we all loved it. The hotel is in a beautiful art deco building, with all rooms themed for a specific artist, and is in a lovely area of Bogota very near to the Gold Museum and some great street art. The roof terrace is fabulous and the breakfasts good.
But more than anything, I recommend the hotel for its staff - who were friendly, efficient and helpful - they helped with all of our transfer arrangements which worked perfectly. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Hola Amstobar. esperamos que su estadía en el hotel haya sido placentera y en este momento tenga un buen día. el nombre es aromático de la casa y es a base de hierbas, frutas y panela.

Hello Becky,
Thank you for writing us.
We have both options:
1. The purple Suites has private terrace
2. We have a Public terrace for all the rooms
Have an excellent day
The hotel offered to arranged transport for us - we flew in to the airport and decided to just que up at the taxi stand with everyone else. The taxi stand is easy to find - its near baggage claim. Be sure you have CO Peso's and a card with the hotel's name. Its a longish ride to the hotel, but everything in CO is about 1/3 what you'd pay in the US.
We strongly recommend taking a walking tour of the downtown. We met our guide at the hotel - be sure and have the complimentary breakfast - its excellent - and you'll do a lot of walking.
Hola !!! si estamos a 3 cuadras de un Gimnasio, el cual puedes utilizar pagando solamente el día. Gracias por preguntar.
