Wonderful, friendly staff. Highly secured facility within a nice part of Bogota. Nearby location to airport, far away enough to enjoy the city. Clean, great restaurants, and comfortable rooms. I don’t understand why they list FOX News on the room TV schedule and show a local network instead of FOX.

I arrived to the hotel at the address provided. I tried to enter but the door was locked. I knocked on the cafe patio door to ask for help but instead of letting me in, they told me to walk around the block in the rain because their policy didn’t allow guests with bags to enter via the patio. Needless to say, this was a major inconvenience and by the time I got to the lobby I was soaking wet. This is not the way guests should be treated. Use some common sense, this was the worst hotel experience I’ve had in Bogota and I would not recommend it to anyone. Stay at the Hilton, they do know how to treat guests.

Dear Adriana Thank you for choosing to stay with us. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and I sincerely apologize for falling short of your expectations. I have shared your feedback with the Security and Rooms Division Managers, so we can do our best to ensure this does not occur again. As a result of my review of your experience, I have an upgrade to a suite for your next visit, just a way of saying "excuse us please". Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Sincerely; Victor Manuel Arteaga/ Rooms Division Manager

This is the best Marriott property that I have stayed in ever. We were pampered from breakfast to dinner. Mayte at the Pimiento Restaurant, set the tone for during our 5 day stay. Her smile and energy in her greeting, her willingness to make sure that you are satisfied is exceptional and unique. When she wasn't around Jessica took the baton and provided the same exceptional service. Yes, the Concierge Lounge is closed, but what you receive at the Pimiento Restaurant is unheard of, provided that you have the benefit. The hotel may not be in the 'chic' part of town, but is super convenient to the center and Candelaria area. Ubers are super inexpensive and reliable. You can also use the transportation services offered by the hotel , also at reasonable rates. There are good shopping centers near by - La Gran Estacion and Salitre, that have great shopping and many good restaurants. I, for one would not want to test another hotel knowing what a special and unique place this is and would stay here again without hesitation. Thanks to Mayte and Jessica, along with her team. PS - I needed to park my rental and was not nickel and dime for the fee of the parking which is included.

The location is good if you want something close to the airport, otherwise this is not a good choice. The best areas in Bogota to stay are Parque 13 or Usaquén (see my Parque 13 hotel review).TheBogota Marriott Hotel was good but no Titanium Marriott recognition. After checking into the Bogota Marriott Hotel, we were assigned a room with a view of a building. I asked as a Titanium Marriott member for a view room and then I was given one. This seems to be a recurring theme with Marriott that if you don’t ask, you don’t get. The view room of the mountains was nice and spacious. We were given a bottle of wine and cheese/ crackers as a welcome gift which was very nice (see photo). I really enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi which was relaxing. The breakfast and dinner at the hotel were also good. For dinner, as a Marriott elite member, we got to choose a starter, pasta, chicken or risotto as a main dish, and dessert. I would only stay at the Marriott Bogota again if I needed to be close to the airport.

It's not luxurious, but if you stay at Marriott's high tiers, you'll be very satisfied. We stayed for 10 days. I used 2 queen beds for 3 days and a junior suite for the rest of the week. Thank you to the manager who greeted me warmly when I checked in. The advantage of this hotel is that it is very close to the airport. And all the staff are friendly. Of course, the buildings and rooms have some signs of age. But we enjoyed our stay all 10 days. The gym is open 24 hours a day, and the swimming pool has warm water. Breakfast is served on the first floor. And the club lounge is currently not open. Instead, two drinks are provided in the afternoon on the first floor. And in the evening, appetizers and main dishes (mainly spaghetti, the restaurant is an Italian restaurant), 2 drinks, and 2 glasses of alcohol are provided in the breakfast room on the 1st floor. I had so much fun at the breakfast room. We will remember for a long time the general manager, Myate, who always welcomed our family, the managers Jessica and David, who welcomed us with very realistic actions, and the ambar who helped us a lot. And thank you to Chef Marisol and Chef Nicolas for always providing delicious dishes. We would also like to thank Sandra, Brayan, Koren, Marco, Geraldine and VIVIANA for always giving us such a warm welcome. Also, thank you very much to Sandra at reception. If my family travels to Bogota again next time, I definitely want to come to the Bogota Marriott.

I stayed at this Marriott for the first time on a recent business trip. The hotel is a convenient taxi ride away from the Emerald District, the Museo del Pro, and other tourist attractions, and attentive to security. The front-desk and cleaning staff members were consistently friendly and helpful, and the front-desk managers offered several very good recommendations for dining. My room was clean and spacious enough.

Would avoid if you are a Bonvoy member, they treat points usage here as bottom of the pile and do not value any status. Platinum member and was celebrating a special occasion, made a request before the stay but was unheeded. At check in, was told was getting an upgrade to a room with a view but got a small dingy room with absolutely no view (next building was feet away and could see directly in). Shower drain wasn't working and waited for repair guy to come at midnight. Asked for a change of room and was told they would work on it for the next day and it never ever happened. Stayed there for 4 nights and no one followed up, no one even inquired how service was. Members lounge was closed. Very bare boned hotel, meant for the airline staff nightly stays rather than couples or families. Will not return in the future.
