There are plenty of big modern hotels in Bogota that are good enough, but to stay in a place like Casa Platypus is to get a true feel for how the city was in colonial times. The old building is so worn and welcoming in a way that only a truly historical building can be. The rooms are not big,...

We stayed twice in a total of 3 nights. The location is great since is really short distance walk to the major touristic attractions, restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The room was looking to the patio so it was quiet. The room was clean.

This is a modest small hotel in a central student-oriented district. The area is very noisy and noise carries within the hotel so earplugs essential. Room was small with no wardrobe but did have small TV with CNN. Small bathroom with hot water. Staff all very friendly, reception staff spoke good English. Wi-Fi and free coffee, basic breakfast included. Good...

We got a room fare away from the street, but you could still here it as well all the other guest. Due to the bad weather it was pretty cold inside and the hot shower was an on /off thing. Besides that: the Breakfast was tasty and big portions and the prearranged birthday cake tasted very good. A down was...

Great location, friendly helpful staff, yummy breakfast, charming rooms and building. The water was hot and the price was really good in my opinion. Our room was in the center of the building, yet there was still a large window which looked into a garden - made it seem like you were outside with natural light. Would recommend staying here.

I stayed for 2 nights at Casa Platypus in a shared dorm with 2 other single beds. It was at the end of my stay in South America after travelling for nearly 4 months. So what really appealed to me was it was more like a guest house than a hostel and the beds were very comfortable with warm soft...

We stayed in Casa Platypus for three nights at the end of our Colombia trip and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is cozy and homely, with rooms located around a central courtyard, a chillout area in reception and a cozy restaurant for breakfast and coffee. The rooms were cute, with a comfy bed with a duvet and a...

This is a well located place in the heart of La Candelaria - tourist central of Bogota - opposite the square they start the (excellent and recommended) graffiti tour from. The staff on the front desk are very welcoming and friendly. The lobby is more functional than pretty but there is a lovely courtyard just inside. As far as I...

The rooms are nice, and kept clean. My room had a window into the inside patio, so there was some noise from the common areas noe and again, but not too much or too loud. Was really happy with my stay, and the staff was super friendly and helpful if you needed anything.
