Kind and informative staff, a mixed and friendly clientele of all ages and nationalities, comfortable clean rooms and dorms all set in a historic and very beautiful house in the middle of the Candelaria district. Even the location is ideal walking distance to Montserrate, the Museo del Oro, Museo Botero, main plazas, and lots of restaurants in the Candelaria and...

Loved this place! Luxury at the end of my South America trip, maybe the best beds, rooms and bathrooms of any hostel I've been to. Hot water was lovely!! Also, the reception staff were very nice. I was given tips on where to eat and what to see which made for not only a good time at Cranky Croc but...

We stayed in the cranky croc for 2 nights, also during new years eve. The hostel arranged a dinner for all the people in the hostel with local food which was really nice. We stayed in a small but perfect private room. The showers are hot and clean. So are the bathrooms. The staff at the reception are very nice...

Great hostel. We had a double room which was super clean, as were the showers and toilets. There was also a nice warm duvet because it is chilly in Bogota :) The staff were always helpful, the laundry service inexpensive and the hostel is in a great location. Bit pricier than some, but we really enjoyed our stay here.

We were in the private room with shared bathroom until another couple showed us their brand new renovated private room with private bath that was $30,000 COP more or $10 USD. No photos on the site yet so see photos in the post. Rooms 204 & 205 have the best views of both Monserrat and the new Bacata/tallest building. It...

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a ball. The staff were so friendly and willing to help with all queries. The breakfasts in the morning are delicious and the chef is so nice. We had a private room which was more like a boutique hotel room. Location is great too. It's a very sociable hostel but not a...

Hostel clearly built for backpackers by backpackers. The hot water was a MAJOR plus. Charging point in lockers. Not much of a party atmosphere, but so well located that this is not a problem. Staff was very fiendly. A bit costly for Colombia, but well within Bogota prices. Free towel on arrival. Freshly cooked pancakes for breakfast (for a fee)....

I liked our stay at the Cranky Croc, everyone who worked there was really nice and could speak English when my Spanish failed. Good location in the Candelaria, quick walk to Plaza Bolivar and Museo de Oro. The shared bathrooms are new, very clean, and modern. The only complaint I had was our private double room was a bunk bed...
