Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
This is a fantastic hotel. The hotel arranged for a car to pick us up from the airport in the very early hours of the morning and the transfer was very smooth. The rooms are a good size, very clean and the bed was extremely comfy. The breakfast was just right and had a good selection of bread, cereal, pastries, ham, cheese, fruit, pancakes as well as eggs made to order (omelette, eggs Benedict, Spanish omelette, etc). The location of the hotel is perfect, in a very nice part of town that felt very safe and convenient for most places a tourist would want to go. We really appreciated the hotel providing a hotel car for a 75-minute drive north to a wedding in Chia, they organised this for us with no trouble at all. Every single member of staff we spoke to were always very polite, helpful and spoke good English. Would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Bogota.

Stay in the Superior Room for 2 nights. Although there's not much view from the room, the room itself was really clean, cozy and comfortable. It came with a coffee making machine, free WiFi and the bathroom has a rain shower. Breakfast spread was great. Staff were friendly and provided excellent service. Location was good too.

I visited this hotel with friends during the holidays. It was largely vacant. The breakfast buffet had many options, from fruit to deli meat, cheese, hard boiled eggs and scrambled, beans with rice, croissants and other pastries. Beds were comfortable, albeit a bit small for two people. The bathroom was spacious with a rain shower and hot water. The gym on the seventh floor has an elliptical and free weights. There is no swimming pool on the property yet. My friends enjoyed the free welcome drink based on a selection at the bar. There is a small problem with how when one keycard is vertically positioned to activate the electricity, that no other guests can enter the room if they have a second keycard. We had to ask the hotel staff to reprogram the second keycard to override it so we can enter the room at different times.

This small hotel is centrally located to a number of restaurants and local shopping areas. The front desk staff and bell persons are extremely helpful. There are two bars located on different floors in this hotel. The rooms are a good size and well equipped. It does take a 20-30 cab ride from the Bogota airport to get to the hotel but it is worth it. I would recommend staying here.

We had the twin room (601) which was spacious and well laid out - just as photos indicate. We appreciated the ample closet space, extra seating, the bar counter, and lots of counter space in the bathroom. We were always able to get ice for our room from the bar. The food selection at breakfast was better than most of the equivalent hotels we stayed in on our trip. The location was excellent as we could walk to a wide variety of restaurants for dinner. David and Jeff at the front desk and Yosman in the dining room plus the driver who picked us up from the airport (Leonardo Garcia) stand out for their good service and kindness.
A possible negative for some people might be the distance from the Museums/art galleries/cable car but Uber is ever present, reliable, inexpensive. We enjoyed the drives to our destinations as we saw most of the city as drivers chose their preferred routes. The compensation for the travel is that the hotels in La Candelaria are in noisy congested areas and the El Dorado was silent at night.

Incredible hotel experience! From the moment we booked, the staff helped us set up our entire time in bogota- setting up tours and rides at very affordable prices. While we were there, they were super attentive to our needs. Victor and his staff are admirable for their respect and kindness and genuine desire to make our stay great. Would definitely recommend and we will certainly be back!

Functional hotel. Rooms are smallish (we had a 'business' room facing rear), and bathrooms are even smaller, but have updates fixtures; shower is probably the best attribute of the room. We stayed three nights and truly felt like home, in a city we knew very little about and had fears due to its reputation (media in the US can be questioned). The neighborhood Chico is one of the safest and nicest ones in bogota, the cap ride to the center and back brings you along the most spectacular scenery in bogota, green parks and beautiful houses. As it was Christmas on nearby parque 93 there was a pop Christmas market place with live music and interesting local merchandise. The stuff at the hotel was friendly and accommodating, the amenities are superior and the room that we got upgraded upon my request as my nephew joined was amazing. This is my favorite hotel when traveling to Bogota for the past 4 years Since day 1, the staff was always very polite and solicit. All staff, from the reception to the ladies cleaning the rooms. The room is big comfortable and very clean. The breakfast is amazing and the two restaurants have very good food. The location is good, near the park and a large variety of restaurants bars and shops. The only con is if you lunch or dinner every day in the hotel, you will start repeating the food.

I am from Bogota, Colombia, and we always stay in different hotels in Bogota, but this time I got the most amazing place to stay, and for sure I will be back with all my family from Canada. We spend a week in this beautiful hotel, big bedrooms, lots of space, super relaxing, comfy beds, very clean, but the best of all was the staff service, they were sooooooo amazing, and the breakfast options were delicious, super fresh and lots of variety. Thanks so much for the great service and for a wonderful time in my beautiful city. This hotel is super close to everythig you need, if you are traveling for business or just for visiting Colombia, come and stay here you will be very happy with this hote. See you soon.
