Location of the hotel is fine, just of a busy street. So not the noise of the cars but close to one of the main streets. The rooms are big and clean and nicely decorated with the murals. The staff could't speak English that well and didn't smile a lott. Breakfast basic but fine.

It's not the most fun hostel in the world but it does the trick. Its located just 5 minutes walk from the witches market and all the tourist hostels. Nice double room room and great hot water in the shower. Very clean. We didnt see a lot of other guests. Very safe and they close the door at night. If...

Where do we even begin? Number one: do not stay here. Frigid - both environmentally and emotionally -- this place is an eerie wasteland where people lose their souls. Wish we could give this negative stars. Examples: 1) We are a group of 3 able-bodies women in our twenties. Two of us - independently and soberly - slipped on their...

Overall, the place is quaint and the décor is interesting. Murals depicting local and traditional scenes make the rooms cheery. My room was reasonably clean, hot water availability was good, and WiFi access was acceptable. Be sure to have earplugs on hand as noise travels through the atrium staircases at all hours. Hint for older travelers: there is no elevator...

We arrived at the hostel after a long journey from London and this was one of the best hostels we've stayed at (South America, Australia, New Zealand). Consistently hot water and powerful showers, good wifi and they even let us leave our bags during a salt flats tour. We were also allowed to check in early on both occasions despite...

Cruz de los Andes We stayed here for a few nights upon arriving to La Paz. Easy for the taxi driver from the airport to find, and smooth check-in and all that. Overall, this is a pretty decent entry point to stay in Bolivia if this is your first hop. We were happy here, however, if you're really picky or...

Stayed here twice as the location is convenient and the price is fair. Its a clean and comfortable spot, with most of the walls covered in murals which makes it very cheery. Its tucked away on a fairly quiet narrow one-way street near the witches market and San Francisco church. Some of the rooms have balconies, but ours was dusty...

We stayed here on two separate occasions and enjoyed our stay. We were on floor two and three on our different visits and the stairs were tough with our big bags due to the altitude (we were thankful not to be on the 5th floor) Breakfast was good and the staff were really helpful and allowed us to check in...

We are travelling around South America as a late twenties/early thirties couple and we stayed in Cruz de los Andes in a private room for four nights. The value for money was outstanding. It felt more like staying in a hotel whilst paying hostel prices. The location is great, right in the middle of the centre and only 5-10 minutes...

Our room was located on the 5th floor, without an elevator, which was a struggle at altitude and with heavy bags. The hostel was eerily empty and dark. There is a nice communal area downstairs but there was nobody there. It is located in a sketchy area of La Paz which didn't feel particularly safe, day or night. When we...
