Loved it. Perfect location next to a Teleférico station that takes you right to city centre. Staff were awesome, and thanks Carla for getting us the perfect room. She took extra time to do so. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve had at a hotel. We could stay here a week.

For starters, I was grateful that staff allowed me to check in a few hours early. I was in dire need of a nap and the early check-in saved me. The common areas are very unique, well-designed and attractive. My room was lovely and the bed and linens were very comfortable. I ordered soup, salad and fresh fruit torte from room service and all were delicious. I wish I had more time to spend at this hotel, but mine was a short stay. I liked that they were able to arrange a car service for airport drop off for $20 USD. Reception is on the 5th floor and the driver came upstairs himself at 02:00 to collect me and my bags. I felt very comfortable here and would love to stay again.

We stayed at Stannum Boutique Hotel for a night and were blown away by the service we received. Prior to our stay we needed to leave some luggage before we travelled to Uyuni, and the staff were so helpful and accommodating with this! After sorting out our luggage, we decided to get a massage at the spa which was extremely relaxing but afterwards we needed a room to shower and freshen up and the staff allowed us to use a room for free to do this! During our stay at the hotel, the staff continued to be highly attentive and helpful, letting us check into our room several hours early after we arrived on the night bus back from Uyuni at 6am. They even gave my wife a beautiful bouquet of flowers for Valentines day! Overall, perhaps the best service we have received from a hotel anywhere! On top of this, the rooms are clean and well furnished, with amazing views over La Paz. The location is perfect with many amenities close by and its in a very safe area of La Paz! We could not recommend Stannum Boutique Hotel enough and will not stay anywhere else when we visit La Paz again. Special thanks to Galia, Alejandro, Naiza, Adriana and Adriana Belen! I had to move to La Paz for work in early June and stayed in the hotel for 4 months, amidst the COVID pandemic.
From day one I felt like I was at the right place. Not only did they have the greatest people always ready to help and fulfill my every need, they always went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed.
Amongst the great details and things, they did for me I have to showcase: I had to spend my birthday at the hotel alone and they woke me up with cake and a beautiful card.
During my stay I caught the virus and I had to go into quarantine, luckily, I was asymptomatic, but nevertheless, they took care of me and made sure I had everything I needed.
And many other details, such as helping me purchase things I needed or even helping me get a pair of loafers at a store nearby because I was stuck at work.
While being alone in a strange city is always daunting, current circumstances made it even harder, and yet Stannum made it an enjoyable experience, whether it was Maria´s attention to detail, or Fernando´s cooking, or Cristian and Elizabeth being always available it felt like home.
The hotel is great, the staff is amazing, the views are gorgeous, I made the right choice staying there!

Stannum was such a welcome gem after a long trip staying in substandard hotels throughout SA. It's a quiet boutique hotel occupying a floor in a busy tower with a mall and cinema at the base, so not your typical hotel welcome experience. But everything else about it is an A+ hotel stay.
The room was spotless, finishes were very modern, bed was SO comfy, and the view was stunning (I had a city view room). The lack of privacy offered by the glass shower may not be for everyone, but I was travelling solo so didn't mind.
The service was also fantastic. I appreciated the assistance getting to the airport - for a very reasonable fee they had a driver meet me in the lobby at 2:00 am, and had a takeaway breakfast packed for me.
I highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely visit again.

The location is super nice and safe. There are many embassies and consulates, even in the same building as the hotel. The whole staff was great. Rooms were smallish but well appointed. Breakfast was surprisingly good each day. Made to order omelettes , French toast, pancakes etc. Plus plenty of natural fruit drinks and fruits and hot veggies etc. I must give special thanks to the wait staff, especially Gabriel and Maya. They both are so great!
The huge gym just adjacent to the hotel is accessible and practically connected. One can also use the sauna in the spa at no cost. Just give a 1 hour notice. Also, Armando in housekeeping does a meticulous job each day keeping the rooms spotless. Also has a voice that could be on TV !
The hotel is less than 2 minutes from the gondola station that will get you everywhere, and dirt cheap. The price for the hotel is also very reasonable.
Lastly, Abigail from reception personally walked us a few short blocks away to a supermarket ! Very friendly and helpful. Marcelo in reception also went above and beyond to accommodate us as we kept extending our stay.

The Hotel Stannum is very well located. We could visit most of the urban attractions in La Paz (Bolivia) within less than 20 minutes of walking. The entire team was always very attentive and friendly. Our room had a beautiful view and sometimes we could even see the Illimani peak about 40km away. We love New Year's Eve treats. Impeccable and varied breakfast, important when staying for almost a week. We hired several “transfers” via the hotel and they were always very convenient, the boat across Lake Titicaca was hired by us directly in Copacabana, so we strongly recommend avoiding the “INTI MARCA” boat as it was a chaotic experience bordering on danger.
