Gorgeous room with high ceilings and antique furniture, perfect for a romantic getaway if your budget allows. Lacks some mod cons you would get in a chain type hotel but actually this adds to the romance in my view, taking a step back in time. The bathroom es contemporary. Breakfast very good by S American standards.

The staff at the hotel were absolutely lovely and so helpful during the booking process and while I was there. The hotel was the Panamanian consulate, so there are lots of original features and beautiful wooden floors and furniture in the presidential suite where I stayed. It's true that there is a feel of slightly faded glory about the hotel...

We arrived at this very small boutique hotel and were extremely disappointed. We were shown to our room and noticed immediately there was no shower, we had an old dirty bath with a handheld shower. I immediately requested a room with a shower, however none were available. There was no plug for the bath (not that you would want to...

We were surprised and very impressed with El Consulado. Huge rooms with the best shower I'd had in weeks. The brunch is a great start to the day and the staff were very helpful arranging laundry and airport transfers.

The hotel is conveniently located in a side street of the Main Street in La Paz. You walk from the busy to the quiet in just a few minutes. The hotel only offers a few rooms but they are very nice(we stayed in 5, next to reception). The staff are sweet and very helpful and due to the possibility of...

My mum and I booked to stay here for 2 nights when we first arrived to La Paz and ended up staying for 5 as we loved it so much. We arrived late at night and after a fair bit of confusion between ourselves and the taxi driver we managed to locate the hotel and find a doorbell. We were...

El Consulado is by no means a Boutique Hotel, as it has no charm or design, and truly nothing special. The check-in is awful, as is the building in general. And the rooms are very scantlify furnished and incredibly noisy--the neighbouring building is very large school that teaches late into the night. Everything the ad says about the hotel is...

This place was very clean and staff was very friendly. Located in a nice neighborhood, safe to walk around. The place was missing few basics which would make this place super cozy. For example, pillows were extremely low and uncomfortable. We had to ask a second pair so we can have extra padding. The place has many drawers, cabinets but...

Very quiet and very good location in the center of La Paz. What a charm for this house of the 1920th in this incredible city. The staff is helpful, the breakfast delicious. The 7 rooms are very comfortable despite the old style.

Only there for one night but the presidential room was large and airy. Reception was very helpful organising taxi's for the airport the next day and as we were missing breakfast we had a lunch bag waiting for us the following morning which was a very nice touch. Room was a bit cold at night but nothing the heater and...
