Hotels in La Paz are a bit hit and miss but this is the best mid-range option I've tried by far. Well located, clean, has a bit of character, fast and friendly service. Pretty decent breakfast too. Overall really impressed. I can't see anyone being disappointed.

Location: next to san pedro square and within walking distance to most major places (witches market, San Francisco church etc) Cleanliness: pretty good, rooms are a bit dated but it seemed clean enough Sleep: beds are a little short! Each room has a heater if needed. A bit noisy on the front with a marching band at nights until 11.... More

This is a nice little stay in busy La Paz.Reasonably close to the crazy Witches Markets and market tourist area. The rooms are smallish and the stay comfortable. Breakfast is very good and the staff very helpful.

Stayed two nights, room at the front, San Pedro prison on the opposite corner, read Marching Powders novel to learn more about it, bit noisy early morning, dinner in the restaurant good, drink service a bit slow for Us Australians, close to sights, witches markets sooo cheap same goods as Peru, but half the price.

Pros: + central + good breakfast buffet + very good service, knowing Spanish would be an advantage + excellent restaurant + wifi Cons: - rooms could use an update (style) - the shower needs minimum 5min to het warm, difficult to handle - at night it could get noisy - we paid the same in other hotels and got more,... I stayed four nights during my visit to La Paz. I changed my room after the first night as while the view of the square was interesting the noise from the street made sleep evasive. For the rest of the time, I had a nice quiet room at the back .Bed was very comfortable. The receptionist was very helpful, spoke... More

Really good choice for La Paz, fantastic value for this price range. Great breakfast. Friendly, helpful and pleasant staff. Fair location, walking distance to witches market. The lovely reception even gave us a small gift.

Stayed 2 days in the hotel. Rooms were a bit small, but clean and comfortable with a pace heater provide, television, phone, shower and blow dryer. Breakfast was included and great with lots of options: juice/coffee/tea, yogurt/cereal, eggs, pastries, bread, cheese, fruits. Located right beside the San Pedro prison and in close walking distance to many tourist attractions. Staff friendly... More

The rooms were adequate for a three star with in room space heater, television, telephone, bathroom with shower. Comfortable beds. Staff at the front desk were very helpful with how to get around, arranging for transportation. We wanted to go to the Valley of the Moon but didn't want to pay the heavy price for a tour group. The staff... More

We booked an overnighter before heading off to Uyuni. We were woken twice (once by phone once by a knock on the door) after 11pm to check our bar bill. The noise from the street kept us awake til gone 2am. There is no hot water. I wouldn't recommend.
