originally quoted 220 for a check in at 6 am( check out at 10, four hours later), bargained to 170 which is still outrageously high by Bolivian standards. WiFi is ok at best, breakfast is a loaf of bread with tea, checked out and left asap.

Clean and comfortable rooms with nice warm beds. Good wifi too and a decent breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful, great location next to witch market. Very hot showers. Not a 5/5 because it was fairly basic but it did everything we wanted it to. No real complaints.

Arrived today to be told they didn't have the room we booked, but had the print out of our booking. Room was cold!! Got moved to another room the next day (the one we booked for 2 nights in the first place). Water pipes were on the ceiling built over with wooden boxing, there was loud water gushing all night... What was expected. People are commenting on this place as if they were expecting a typical experience in the United States. This is Bolivia so be realistic with your expectations. Price was fair, breakfast mediocre, beds average, staff ok. Great location

For me not a hostel, but a B&B. Stayed on first floor. Yes, WiFi is improvable. Yes, the receptionist did not take lessons in hospitality. But come on, location is unbeatable. Plus it is a budget option. Do not know where the comments regarding noise are coming from. You're in LaPaz! Show me a quieter ho(s)tel for the same price!... More

This place is an ok budget place but has some strange rules. Firstly, there is a curfew? They don't tell guests about it but if you are out past 10:30 or so, you may not be able to get back in to the hotel. This seems unreasonable to me. Also, they are obsessed with the towels. When checking out, I... More

Hotel Fuentes is a good budget option in the historic district of La Paz. The location is excellent, at Linares street, near its intersection with Sagarnaga Street, a few steps uphill from San Francisco church. All the major attractions of the historic district are a short walk away, and at the other end of Linares street is the location of... More

I think it's a great hotel from what you pay. Although the service was not very good, it is the only bad thing about the hotel. The location is very good and if you get a room on the top floor you have a beautiful view!. I'd stay there again despite the poor staff. Bedrooms are very clean, showers are... More
