The room was small but clean and the bed and linen confortable. Nice breakfast and employees friendly and helpful. Beautiful pool and view from the poll area and from the restaurant. Our room was city view and noisy, we also heard other guests moving on the upper floor. The hotel needs an overall renovation. We expected more for the price... More

This is a magnificent building, converted from what used to be an old grand flour mill, completely renovated to its new incarnation as a boutique hotel positioned right on the beach. The lines and art are stunning, with a modern minimalist look which contradicts and fine old style of architecture of this building. Even though it was a rainy Sunday... More

We were in the off season so the hotel was very quiet. We got an upgarde as they were repainting the indoor pool. A bit of Old Hollywood glamour in the reception and eating areas and our room had gorgeous views over the ocean and up the coastline. Old charm with shutters. Truly the only hotel on the beach. there... More

This is a really good place to stay in Punta. Serena Hotel is one of few if not the only hotel that you can access the beach just opening the hotel's door. The pools are good, one has a view to the beach and there is an internal warm pool for the cold days. The sunset here is amazing. You... More

We heard Punta del Este was a pricey, party town. We booked a room for one night towards the end of season (late-March) hoping to enjoy a bit of the town's charm at better prices and without the crowds. We were lucky to book this hotel for half price. Had we paid full price this review would have read a... More

Serena Hotel in Punta del Este provided a much needed retreat from bustling Buenos and Aires. We planned our day/night between BA and Montevideo as a beach getaway and Serena Hotel was the perfect spot. The hotel is located a couple miles from the main area of Punte del Este so you feel secluded and can enjoy a very private... More

Large clean rooms with very comfortable beds. The staff were brilliant, always there to help when we needed it. The pool is lovely and surrounded by beds and mattresses to lie on and right beside a quite beach. Pleasantly surprised. Food great. Very chilled. We went in high season and it didn't ever feel crowded.

Rooms were clean, staff was very friendly, and the view was great. Food was good and you are close enough to drive 5 mins and be at the harbor but far enough away to have a little bit of peace if you need. The pool and cabanas are picturesque. I would definitely go back.
