Very good location in the centre of the ancient old city of Sanaa. Comfortable and clean old style hotel. The beautiful view from top floor with the restaurant! There is a lift. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much.

The only good thing about the hotel is its awesome view from the rooftop restaurant. But for that you dont need to shell out the money it charges per night. Just go during sunset for coffee, enjoy the view and get out of there. Located in central Sanaa, Burj al Salam is supposedly one of the city's prime properties but...

I first visited this hotel in 2006 when a wonderful manager , Mirella, an Italian lady, ran this little hotel. She made me feel the most welcome guest in the world and I have never forgotten her wonderful hospitality . The hotel is quite quirky ( as in bathrooms being a bit , well how can I say it politely...

From the top floor of this hotel, the city view is commanding. Just around sunset, the Muezzins's call to prayer is a beautiful song never to be missed. It lifts the soul to heaven, whether one is a believer or not. The peace that surrounds the place and the chorus that transports you to places unknown has the hotel deserve...

Stayed 1 night in this hotel-15th Feb 2014. Positive: perfect location (Old city), beautiful decor and stunning view from the terrace. Negative: the hotel is worn out. The cleanliness of the room is appalling, hair on the bed-sheets. After complaining about dirty bed sheets, I got immediately upgraded. The suite room was not better either...a bit bigger room and a...

I visited this property during the Ramadhan month, few days before Eid Fitr 2013. The hotel are well kept and maintained. I stayed at the highest floor and the room was traditionally decorated, spacious and the view was excellent. I tried the restaurant, a bit pricey but good food. The management were really helpful, they even prepared my Suhoor meal...

I didn't stay in the hotel, but I did visit the restaurant a couple of times during my 2 trips to Yemen. The view from the upper floor where the restaurant is located is the only thing that makes Burj al Salam a special place. And that's it. The food is nothing special, in addition it's quite expensive. You can...

Well known among most travel agents and expats in Yemen, Burj Al Salam was once an undiscovered a jewel in the Old City of Sanaa. Recently it has been 'discovered' by more people, and unfortunately this has led to a drop in standards and increase in prices. If you can get past the less than stellar food options, this is...
