A beautiful location on a private beach along the Abu Dhabi Corniche overlooking the stunning UAE's landmark, Presidential Palace, is just one of the highlights at the 5 star Bab Al Qasr Hotel & Residences. In addition, imposing architecture and Arabesque interiors complement the magnificent setting where luxury and contemporary comforts reign.

Bab Al Qasr Hotel garners appreciation for its cleanliness and well-maintained facilities, although a few guests have pointed out service inconsistencies. The spacious and comfortable rooms with stunning views are a hit among travelers, despite some remarks about the need for updated decor. While the hotel's diverse amenities and luxurious atmosphere, including live performances, are highlights, the limited pool space and additional charges for beverages have not gone unnoticed.
The prime location is well-regarded, yet the value received is a point of contention among guests, with opinions divided between affordability and high costs. Service experiences vary, with reports of both attentiveness and neglect.

My wife, our little baby of 7 months and myself stayed at Bab Al Qasr Hotel for 2 weeks, we arrived early morning December 31st, 2019.
Here below few points that I hope will be useful for you. You can also see my videos and pictures about the hotel and Abu Dhabi on my insta profile Alex Attitude (IG account).
The hotel
The hotel is amazing and very beautiful! Plenty of space, big lobby, many sofas and seats. It is located on Corniche road next to Grand Hyatt Hotel, Etihad towers Hotel and Khalidiya towers and in front of Emirate Palace. To go to city center it’s approximately 10min by taxi, taxis are cheap no worries. The hotel has 2 restaurants, food is good especially at Limo restaurant.
The staff
This is the big plus of the hotel, the staff is extremely nice and professional.
The beach
Nice beach, big enough (compare to the other hotels around), well maintained. Small tip, before going to breakfast I advise you to put your towels on the sun beds to secure them (everybody does like this).
The swimming pool
Could be bigger and more kids friendly, we never went there, we preferred the beach atmosphere.
The room
Our room number was 2803, it's a deluxe suite and definitely one of the best rooms for the following reasons: the size is more than 80m2, you have a corridor at the entrance with toilet, then the living room and finally the bedroom with ensuite bathroom. From the living room you have sea view and from the bedroom you have view on the presidential palace and a bit on Emirate Palace, the view from the bedroom and the living room is amazing. We woke up every morning with a smile, perfect way to start the day. I really recommend you to ask for a room on the same side and high floor.
The breakfast
International and local, you will find all kind of food, good food and enough choice, we had breakfast every day.
The area
In front of the hotel there is the Emirate Palace Hotel, it's worth to visit it, you can also have a coffee served with gold (price is approx. $15 and not sure that it is healthy ;-) On the left of the hotel there is the Presidential palace (8min walking distance), it's worth to visit it, especially just before the sunset. At Etihad towers (next to the hotel) there is a cafe on the 74th floor, the view is spectacular under the condition that the windows are cleaned. If you look for a supermarket, you will find one next to the hotel at Etihad towers hotel, floor -1 (3 min walking distance)
For a nice walk, I advise you to walk from the hotel to Marina shopping Mall, it's approximately 20 minutes, you will enjoy the view.
Finally, I would like to thank again all the staff from Bab Al Qasr hotel, I really hope that we will be back again end of the year.

We stayed here to celebrate our daughters 1st birthday. We were looking for a family friendly hotel and settled with this one in the end.
The lobby in the hotel is grand as you would expect from a hotel in the middle east with vaulting ceilings with changing lights in the evening. This was also a bar area.
We had a few issues checking in but we think this was due to the third party we used to book the hotel. After a lot of talking after a long day travelling with a baby and toddler it was the last thing we needed but the staff were brilliant in helping us by letting us have food in the dining area whilst they sorted out our room even though we technically werent meant to until we had officially checked in and got our all inclusive started.
The room we got was a one with kitchen area and 2 massive sliding doors which separated the bedroom and separate bathroom. The bathtub was massive and separate shower handy.
The bedroom area was so big it could fit a king bed and 2 cots and 2 massive suitcases with lots of room to spare.
The hotel pool was very small but it was enough for us as we only had 2 toddlers who could only go in the splash pool anyway. Plus there was a beach just outside the hotel if you wanted more (and can brave the sun/heat).
The hotel was close to a mall which was only across the road really but in Abu Dhabi we realised you have to travel by taxi especially with kids in the heat.
Overall the hotel was brilliant but not as child friendly as we hoped, but that might just be down to the way the country is generally. Saying that the staff in the dining area always brought our children plastic plates and cutlery when we came.
No faults with the hotel but a bit more entertainment in the hotel would have been good.

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights. The rooms are spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. Each room is afforded robes, slippers and an unlimited supply of bottled water. The pool was a bit on the small side, it was heated to allow one to swim when the sun goes down and the weather gets cooler. The hotel serves a full complimentary breakfast, one can definitely find something to eat. I highly recommend.

Spent 10 days at the Bab Al Qasr before the lockdown hit the world. The hotel is in a perfect situation at the end of the Corniche with wonderful views of the Presidential Palace and the Emirates Palace Hotel. Half board was perfect and the food choice superb. All the staff are extremely helpful and any problems were dealt with immediately e.g. slight leak in the loo, broken safe, battery in TV remote control. There is plenty to do and see and walking is easy and enjoyable from the hotel. Although the beach is smallish it was ideal for sunbathing and swimming. Alternatively the hotel pool is clean, warm and lifeguarded. I was upgraded to a Junior Suite on arrival which was amazing. I was also able to check in at 10.00am with only a short wait - so much appreciated as I'd had an overnight flight and just wanted to shower and 'crash out' for a while! Alcohol is very expensive to buy but that was expected; you can however bring a generous amount into the country. Next door to the hotel in the basement of the Ethiad Towers is a Waitress where you can buy snacks and supplies!
The only tiny negative thing I can say about my stay was that the jet skis are VERY noisy. They aren't used all the time but most afternoons. On my last day there were 26 of them - the noise was unbearable and could still be heard in my room on the 22nd floor!

Four of us stayed here for 7 nights and it was a fabulous Hotel. It definitely has the WOW factor. Staff are friendly and efficient. It is a Beautiful building on the corniche with wonderful views of the Emirates Palace opposite and a great location for getting around, very central. Everything was spotlessly clean. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Bottles of water were replenished daily. The Gala Dinner on New Years Eve in the gardens was exceptional. Taxis are available outside the hotel for getting around. The food was plentiful and excellent. Swimming pool was warm and lifeguards were on duty at all times. Very family friendly. The hotel is directly on the beach with water sports available. Taxis are available directly outside the hotel and these are reasonably priced and a great way to get around Abu Dhabi. We also visited Dubai by taxi which cost around £55 for a 1.5 hour journey which I thought was very reasonable compared to UK taxi prices. You are treated like a VIP from arriving to leaving. Would 100% recommend visiting this hotel and can't wait to return.

The hotel is very well presented, the room was a good size, great bathroom and views to the Emirates Palace hotel and the new Royal Palace.
The pool is small, supposedly heated but very cold. Likewise the beach is small, with barriered area for swimming which was explained by a sizeable, cargo shop going by pretty close and presumably leaving its pollution in the water
Breakfast buffet has been horrendous with Friday apocalyptic, with tables piled high by overwhelmed staff with dirty crockery. Lunch and dinner at the buffet are lukewarm at best, far below expectations of a 5*
There are always shortages of plates or bowls or butter......
We paid a premium for additional dining options but that only meant one restaurant, Rosemary/Limo, over the lukewarm buffet. That has fantastic staff and wonderful food but the menu is limited
The staff are courteous and work hard but Bab Al Qasr doesn't feel 5* and sadly I cannot recommend it

I have stayed many nights at the Bab al Qasr Hotel over many visits to UAE, I will not stay there again. Each time it seems to get worse. They don’t even bother to put an extra plug at the desk in the rom so there is no place to plug in your computer without unplugging the hotel clock to the hotel room phone. From showers that do not drain and tubs that drain onto the bathroom floor to leaky faucets and forever waiting for someone to answer any phones after 8 p.m. – it is a frustrating experience.
Also - each time I have asked for a delayed checkout, they will never extend it beyond noon even though the hotel appears to be almost empty. I have even offered to pay a half-rate but they insist on a full day of payment to extend to 2 p.m. The parking lot is empty and many, many rooms have the “sanitized for your protection” sticker on the door – which indicates that there is not an occupant to that room. I extended my UAE stay but decided to move to another hotel due to the refusal to accommodate my slightly delayed original departure for the 3rd time.
This hotel gives every indication of an establishment that is trying to eek out as much revenue as they can get, without spending any money on maintenance or enough personnel to service the small group of loyal hotel customers. This is beautiful on the outside and an iconic structure to view from a distance…keeping your distance from Bab Al Qasr would be my suggestion.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by friendly staff. Everything about our stay was perfect. The location was ideal, as the hotel is right across the street from Emirates Palace and is very close to the Presidential Palace. The room was nicely decorated and quite large in the Premium category; the toiletries were high quality; buffet breakfast offered many options. Our request for late check-out was accommodated. I highly recommend Bab Al Qasr Hotel for your stay in Abu Dhabi.

Our overall experience was just average. I prearranged a wedding anniversary setup and paid for 222dhs but it’s not really worth what u paid for, although during prepayment all the inclusion werementioned but i still don’t recommend it.
The amenities were okay we enjoyed the clean, fine beach and relaxing swimming pool. We also enjoyed our set menu dinner, thanks to Xavier and Ahmed in artisan kitchen for taking care of us and making sure we enjoyed the food, we got what we needed and made us feel as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was okay too, although you really don’t get that much of a Selection of food, just the basics.
It’s also worth mentioning that because of pandemic they would automatically upgrade your room booking to the next level. In our case we were upgraded to studio deluxe with stunning and overlooking view. Thanks to Milky at the reception for being thoughtful thinking we needed something amazing to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

No balcony available for our stay.
Window views are phenomenal.
Please ask to the desk, I'm a customer and can't answer from them if it's possible. Maybe have their a locker or at the concierge for that. It will certainly have extra charge if u don't take another room after.
My advice, Call the concierge and ask them precisely.
