I had booked this hotel for the weekend of Formulq 1 in November 2022 at a good price. The hotel then cancelled my booking and claimed that my cards had been declined despite the fact that my bank had never received a payment request. When I called the hotel they said they could not give me the same price I initially paid and the price had now doubled. Disgusting customer service and telling blatant lies.
Resort a good place to come to relax and enjoy yourself. We especially enjoyed in the swimming pool. Our room was in front of the gym which is was very convenient for us. Overall rooms are spacious, bright and has everything what you need. Meanwhile, I would like to say thank you to Mr. Omar, he were very helpful during our stay.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I booked with more than one month in advance specifically for the F1 weekend in Abu Dhabi. Guess what, 3 days before my actual stay they call me telling me "Hi, we are cancelling your booking because we are doing renovations to the hotel". What type of business are they running? They truly don't understand what a reservation actually means and beyond that, they do NOTHING to help you or provide you with a reasonable solution. Their response was "You are lucky because you will get a full refund". Yeah sure, a full refund will keep me happy when 3 days before my actual stay they decide to cancel me and leave me to my own to find a new hotel in the busiest weekend of the year. The person who called me from the hotel said "There's nothing I can do, management made this decision". I asked to talk to management and she said "no, they are busy"... Before losing my mind, I insited and they said they would call me back. Guess what, they never called me back. I tried calling them several times and no one would pick up the phone. We checked in late at night, we were received by collaborative team who helped us to sort out our reservation and facilitated our stay. Mr. Haitham the team leader was an example for a passionate leader who deliver service with respect and utter most responsibility. Because of him we extended our stay from 1 week to 5 weeks. He and his team made us feel we were at home.
I spent my EID Holiday here with my family. The whole place’s vibe was cool and refreshing. Malls and supermarkets are just few steps away. It’s very convenient. The three-bedroom suite was spacious and comfortable. Though, we saw dead insects on one of the rooms. And, hours before our checkout WiFi connection was disconnected for some reason. The worst was the water in the kitchen and toilet were also not working few hours before our check out time. We wanted to take showers before we leave but we couldn’t. The receptionist asked us to wait for the maintenance people, but nobody came. It was kinda strange because I’ve been to most of the hotels in the city and never experienced this.
Place is good for family get way but service is very poor, we have requested towel and bkankets but it takes us 1 hr to wait for the response. We had a morning swimming but no towels available as per the life guard towels are not yet available, so you have no choice but to go back to your room wet , hope they will improve thier service.
We checked into this hotel on April 22, for the first time. We have been excited and looking forward to having this getaway with the whole family for days. However, If we are to sum up the entire experience in 1 word, it is HORRIBLE! Actually, the word horrible doesn’t even come close to what we have experienced. Try thinking of what could be the worst experience for you, then that’s that! When we checked in, we were ‘greeted’ by a certain Jane, the receptionist. The way she attended to us was disappointing. Her tone of voice was insulting. To think that we were just asking basic questions like, ‘is there a car parking’, ‘can we pay for the AED 300/-deposit through credit card’, etc. Jane was everything an ideal receptionist or someone working in the hospitality does not embody. When we reached our 3- bedroom apartment, I was shocked to see a toilet bowl in the master’s bedroom filled with insects, dead and alive. I called out to my husband to check it but instead of complaining, we decided to let it go. Maybe it has been a long time when somebody last checked into that room. We requested for 6 bedroom slippers and 6 bath robes thinking that we can take a quick dip at the pool before it hit 8 PM. No luck. These items did not reach us until we made a follow up call. Bottom line, we received the items, 6 bedroom slippers and 3 bath robes, around elevenish. When we finally went for bed, there were strands of hair underneath the bed cover for, who knows, how long. And of course the scariest of them all the bed bugs, which we were able to take a video of, by the way!!! We slept in that creaking bed which is an old bed , the entire night praying that we would not wake up to sores and itches. We endured a long, grueling night and promised ourselves that we will report it to the hotel staff the next day. Come next morning, my husband called the reception around 7:30 am and informed them of the bedbug. As if it was a normal sight in every room, the attendant just dismissed us by saying, ‘sorry for that’ and not even asking if there was anything that could be done to make up for it. Like really? We were tormented the whole night into falling asleep while thinking how many others could be crawling in that bed! When we had breakfast, we noticed obvious signs of stains and some food leftovers peeking at the innermost corners of the couches, which could have also been there for a long time. The thing with bed bugs is that when you see just even one, your mind automatically gets wired into thinking there could be others lurking in the other parts of the apartment as well. Now the worst part. We called to check out from the room, ready to leave behind everything negative that we saw and experienced. At the reception, another RUDE reception attendant, MOISES, and around his 40s, mentioned that we stained the bed in the master’s bedroom of what appears to be a yellow liquid and and that there were 3 lost bath robes! Like, hellooo?!? We requested for 6 bath robes, didn’t we? So, why were we only given 3 bath robes, to begin with? Are there no inventory records from your housekeeping? There were a lot of people also checking out at that time and the shame of being put on the spot for the missing items you did not take or even come close to thinking of taking is UNACCEPTABLE. We offered to have them check our luggages and to even go back to the room so that we can also see the actual stain that they were talking about; however, they were not willing and ready to do it. To them, for the matter to be settled, we just needed to deduct the damages from the AED 300/- deposit. Then we got into thinking, now that’s the catch. Is this a modus? We chose to stand our ground and refused to be bullied. The accusations that they threw us were baseless and without proof. Our feedback towards them - the ones that we initially had, the ones that were supposed to be kept just within ourselves, were given back to them fairly and squarely, in the best and most diplomatic way that we can. Moises apologized in the end to us but in that kind of insincere and insulting tone. We can bounce back from this experience but the damage has also been done and we want to voice this review out as a warning to all the unsuspecting, innocent families who wanted nothing but spend quality time in a place that Andalus Hotels was supposed to provide. If you have ever thought of checking into this hotel because of what social media portrays, think again and learn from us and the ones who previously encountered the same sad treatment.…
We celebrated our honeymoon in a resort; well decorated room, luxurious amenities, suprise celebration cake from management. Everything was perfecto. Special thanks to Housekeeping team and Glen. We will surely come back again for another occasion. Its was a wonderful memory for us. Thanks a million.
I’ve been to many hotels all over the world even though i’ve encountered a few bad experiences, regardless of where ever i’ve been i never had an issue with cleanliness. I was super shocked and surprised to find out there was literally hair in the bath tub a lot of scattered hair.That was very disgusting and i had to check out immediately. I advice everyone not to ever consider booking here.
Booked and prepaid this hotel a month and a half earlier and 8 days before my reservation they canceled my booking. Left me holding the bag trying to find a hotel at the last minute and of course one week out the prices are WAY higher than the month and a half prior. DO NOT BOOK! Terrible customer service. I wish I had never looked at this hotel. Do yourself a favor and stay at a Marriott.
