I stayed one night at Anantara and I was very happy with my stay. The hotel is beautiful and my room overlooked the mangroves which gave it a very tropical feel. My room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The service was excellent. The musician who plays live music and piano every evening was talented! I wish I could have stayed longer. Hopefully soon :)

This was our first staycation since the pandemic and we were glad that we chose Anantara as the precautionary and safety measures taken really made us feel safe and comfortable during our stay. The rooms are spacious and we highly recommend booking the mangrove facing view that overlooks a wonderful Abu Dhabi cityscape. The staff are really courteous and ensured that we had a good time. The breakfast buffet at ingredients has a modest spread and we were impressed with the measures taken to minimize contact. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and we highlight recommend Anantara Eastern Mangroves.

My wife and I visited for 3 nights to experience the sights of Abu Dhabi. The hotel is in a very good location for accessing the Corniche, Grand Mosque, Mangroves and farther afield; Yas / Saadiyat Island. We were aware that there is no beach, so don't be expecting a 'beach holiday', although the pool area was well maintained and had great views overlooking the Eastern mangroves (which you could kayak / boat tour through.) The hotel itself is 5 star! Staff are very attentive, well trained and go above and beyond. Kim (in the Mangrove Lounge on Level 2), was particularly very good, professional, courteous and service with a smile. We stayed in a room on Level 3 overlooking the Mangroves, the balcony receives no sunlight, but meant it was great to sit out overlooking the mangroves all day. Room was brilliant, huge bed (good night sleep), black out curtains, sofa, large bathroom with tub and separate shower, mini bar, TV with news / movie channels. One of best rooms I have stayed in. Guest services cleaned each day and turn down service was nice touch. I was very impressed with fact we were in room a lot, and yet when leaving for no more than hour, the room was cleaned, great service. The gym is huge, lots of equipment and the spa was also of a very high standard. Breakfast selection was brilliant, range of hot and cold, as well as gluten free, Indian, Asian kids. Basically they had everything. Again service was of a high standard. We went for dinner in the Thai restaurant, again i would highly recommend; great service, attentive and food was very tasty.

The hotel is connected to a promenade where you can access a Carluccios, Peppermill (Indian restaurant), Starbucks, a cafe and a Waitrose/Spinneys. So if you don't like feeling trapped in a resort, then again, this was a great place. Only negative was that the pool area is a little small and receives limited direct sunlight in the afternoon, so i can imagine in busy periods, it may be difficult to find your perfect spot.

Overall, the perfect hotel for coming back to after a long day sight seeing or just to chill and get away from the noise of a big city!

Good room and a great view of the mangroves.
Few negative points sadly, there was no information on the hotels procedures and safety precautions when checking. Then we received a very shouty phone call at 8pm about our late (4pm) check out now being a 2pm check out. Not very 5 star.
Breakfast was ok, ordered 2 omelettes and received fried eggs, still very runny but topped with the veg we had ordered for the omelette. We did not bother to reorder.
Fruit and other selections where ok.
By the pool was not very well organised, we saw many people leave sun loungers and or cabanas and then NOT them being sterilised or marked “out of use” before people used them again !!! The Marriot in early July was great at this and the staff went out of their way to do this.
This made us leave early on our check out day as other hotels have been better at maintaining standards.
Also other families where running around and in everyone else’s space to which the lifeguards paid no attention at all sadly.

Room was not sealed which is common practise in other hotels at the minute.

After wanting to visit the Anantara for some time it was a let down.

Fantastic. A lovely hotel with fantastic views across the mangroves. Be sure to book the mangrove side room and ask for a room over the mangroves away from the boat hire vendors for an even better view. Rooms are very plush and staff are excellent. The all inclusive offer is great value. The pool lunch included in this offer was high quality for an all inclusive and the pool staff ensured we were regularly topped up with drinks. The pool is ideally located with a brilliant infinite view across the mangroves. It was very chilled but it was midweek so can’t say what it’s like at the weekend. Breakfast and dinner buffet were both excellent quality. We enjoyed it so much we went back the following week!! Overall excellent value for money.

We stayed at the Anantara for 7 nights, at first we where a bit unsure, as the Thai restaurant is closed for refurbishment but the hotel soon put our minds at rest.
Pachaylan reopens end of March.
We where in room 105 and the suite was very luxurious with a small plunge pool outside over looking the mangroves. The room was very clean and spacious with turn down service every night. The bathroom was very well resourced with toiletries, dressing robes provided and a well stocked mini bar.
The best thing about this hotel is the staff , we were most impressed by the friendliness and warmth of the staff. The staff work long hours but all ways have a smile and are happy to help you with any thing you require. Idin Asmitha is the head chef at The Ingredients and is a credit to the hotel. He is a hands on chef and is all ways making sure the food is to a great standard . The buffet have theme nights and a great choice of food. The Globe brunch is a must! We also did the spice spoons with Chef Jack. Jack is so funny and he makes the cookery class a lot of fun and at the same time learning how to cook delicious Thai food. After the class you get to try the food you have cooked.
The breakfast at the ingredients is also very good with a large choice and live egg station.
Happily, there's a beach alternative, the Mangroves are truly beautiful and we even took a boat trip on The Sea Hawk and saw a rare sighting of the Pink Flamingos. This really made my stay so memorable.
We went to the spa every day and the staff where very welcoming to us. The spa has many treatments on offer and an amazing hamman room. I would say one of the best spas that we have been to in Abu Dhabi.
We would like to thank every one for our stay and especially Mr Khaled the General Manager.

Great, Great place right on the mangroves...such peace and wonder there...from the beginning to the end

Our stay at Anantara Eastern Mangrove Resort was an excellent break and worth a 5 star review. what was truly above and beyond was the service here. We were greeted with the warmest smiles and genuine care that our holiday would be grand
Upon arrival we were met by a welcoming smiling host who introduced herself and escorted us to the reception where we met by a smiling Tis from Bangkok who checked us in with great ease and efficiency whilst enjoying warm tea accompanied by a variety of sumptuous dates to appeal to our appetite.
Our room was a deluxe balcony room (more like a suite) and loved having a roomy balcony in which to wind down after an arduous day of doing nothing. Our room was exquisite and very spacious, which faced the beautiful mangroves and the scenic view of Abu Dhabi city from our balcony. The views from our room were truly splendid! Our room was tastefully decorated the bed super comfy with luxe linens, the bathroom had nice fixtures, plush towels and top of the line toiletries.

After arrival into our rooms we were treated a fresh fruit basket, and wine, and a lovely note wishing us a happy stay

Having the beautiful pool and gym only steps away from our room was convenient.

Beyond the relaxing atmosphere of the room, the next best part was the fantastic food and excellent service at the Restaurant. The vast menu had fantastic and varied food choices, and the preparation made for superior tasting. The food was absolutely wonderful. All the staff was very attentive, professional and friendly. What gracious and knowledgeable individuals this hotel is very lucky to have. Our room was beyond expectations, the housekeeping staff was efficient, attentive, and at times left cheerful notes.
The staff is one of best parts of staying at the Eastern Mangrove Hotel. The service was outstanding, and that is something that can really make or break a holiday. Congratulations to your team members for being so accommodating at all times. Please convey my appreciation to anyone else to whom I did not mention that they were also responsible for making this a very memorable holiday. We will definitely be back to experience such great hospitality

It’s therefore a shame I have to give some constructive feedback. We are non smokers and sadly the roof top bar (Infusion bar)is a no no for your non smoking customers. As soon as you come out of the lift you are hit by stale smoke and the smell once the bar is open is unbearable. it’s a shame as we could not enjoy our complimentary cocktails that could only be taken at the roof terrace.

I spent a month here with my spouse, enjoying the amenities. The room was always serviced impeccably and I never found anything wanting in terms of toiletries, linens, or cleanliness. Reception was prompt and accommodating with requests for things like extra water, bathrobes, and receiving packages when I was out. The breakfast buffet held a wide array of delicious selections and servers were friendly and attentive. The outdoor pool is amazing, with a lovely view of the mangrove forest to the north and lots of lounge chairs if you’re keen to sit and read or sunbathe. Poolside service was great - they always provided a towel and cold bottled water when you signed in and got your temperature checked. Special mention to Alan, who was always helpful and cheerful, stopping to chat and check in on how we were doing at the pool. Parvesh and Priyandha, also, were very proactive in suggesting food and drinks when we decided to have a morning by the pool. Throughout the hotel, staff always greeted us with “hello” or “good day” and were always happy to help us when we needed it. Any miscommunication or mistakes made were very quickly fixed and with great courtesy.

Within the hotel compound, there is a Starbucks, several delicious restaurants (Lebanese, seafood, Indian, and Italian), a nail spa, and a Waitrose, all an easy walk away. There is also a small marina where you can rent kayaks, paddleboards, or other watercraft along with other activities you can do in the mangrove forest or along the water behind the hotel.

This has been my spouse’s favorite hotel for a while now - and now that I’ve had the privilege to visit, it’s mine too! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a place to relax and enjoy the view and the amenities within the hotel and the surrounding complex.

We went there for a family overnight, booked with 3 adults and 2 kids. We had the all inclusive deal and was easy to book in Anantara.com. I advise to book with them directly as you get to have exclusive perks like late checkout till 1600H, room upgrades and spa credits. Felt safe as everyone who goes there has to have the AlHosn green pass, masks gloves and sanitizers were available anywhere in the hotel. The checkin was easy -- Maria and the people in the frontdesk were so welcoming. Rooms were spacious which accommodated my entire family, we were upgraded to a room facing the mangroves and it was like we teleported to a secluded paradise though you were in the city. It was very peaceful and we enjoyed it a lot. ^_^ The pool was nice and it cooled us down amidst Abu Dhabi's summer heat. The drinks at the pool deck were overflowing and was sooo refreshing as well. We tried the boat rides among the mangroves and the kids loved the experience. They provided drinks and refreshments again while in the boat trip. ^_~ Dining at INGREDIENTS restaurant was the BEST. ^_^ we had BBQ night which was really sumptuous and the staff including Joyce were exceptional. We had some bubbly as it was our 10th wedding Anniversary. ^_^ My son loved the breakfast and the lunch there was a hit with everyone! We had a live band playing during lunch and the chef was handing out flavorful risotto to everyone. we would definitely go back and recommend it to our family and friends. ^_^

Stayed here for 2 nights and was blown away. Location is perfect, you'll feel you're in a different place even though you're still inside the city. Cleanliness and sanitation (esp during covid) is spot on, felt safe roaming around the facility (mask is required). Probably my favorite swimming pool in all hotels I've stayed at in Abu Dhabi. If you have time, rent a kayak and kayak along the mangroves in the surrounding area. Food is okay. Also, best massage ever. All in all, worth the price.
