The buffet breakfast offers a lot of choice , no matter how fussy you are , you should find something.
The wife opted for the buffet seafood lunch on day, she thoroughly enjoyed it as I don’t eat seafood so she tends to miss out on seafood restaurants if they don’t offer meat options. She said it tasted really fresh and everything cooked perfectly.
Make full use of the free shuttle service that runs from the hotel to all over Yas Island and beyond.
We have decided we wouldn’t rush back to Abu Dhabi , purely because we didn’t enjoy it half as much as Dubai. The hotel, I would stay at again SHOULD visit in the future.
Flat screen TV is slightly outdated and the screen size a bit too small if you compare to other hotels in the region and category.
Room placement is crucial to the enjoyment of your stay.... as an example if you wish to relax in the room by day and want peace & quiet then avoid being over the pool on a Friday due to live music and DJ... if you want an early night on a Thursday avoid a room placed over the Y bar as the beat and base from the music transmits .
Other than that all good and would stay here again in a staycation or if in Yas Island
NB The bathroom toilet has a Shattaf as well as a bidet
Arrived at the hotel on Christmas Eve to be told the premium non smoking room I had booked was not available and I would have to have for one night a standard smoking room and we would be moved the next day. We would still be able to use the premium lounge, which we couldn’t as our key pass would not allow us to access the 10th floor. We were moved the next day after 3 visits to reception. For the inconvenience we were given dinner for two with soft drinks at the buffet. Where we were sat at a table with stained seats and the drinks service was incredibly slow the buffet had a small selection and was fairly poor food. It was not making up for the poor start to our Christmas break.
The buffet restaurant at breakfast was packed every day. We were put in the steak restaurant which had a very limited selection. We tried the premium lounge where we were guided to a table with someone else things on it. The food selection was even more limited with many plates and dishes empty and not replenished.
The rooms are basic, unclean with mould in the bathroom.
Even though I spent the first night in a standard room I was charged for a premium room. I have contacted the hotel via the contact me page on their website over a week a go unsurprisingly I have not been contacted!
The front desk personnel gave us a much better deal compared to what we have booked on line hence it was a great start to notice the hotel staff and its generosity.
They provided us room 618 overlooking the circuit arena however the sight is but dull as there was no race going on at the time. The room might cost much more had the F1 race or any racing event was on.
What i've notice before entering the room was that the door has no sticker signifying it was disinfected like many other hotels i have visited recently, so i started to wonder what could be inside.
The room was - the dirtiest room we've ever come to visit!! the smell was terrible, the table was full of dust, the curtain seemed it has been there from the date it was opened and the handle was awfully disgusting as you can still see the last persons finger prints on it!
Its a good thing we've brought with us our own disinfectant and had to do it on our own just to keep our stay meaningful.
The Breakfast
It was also one of the ugliest breakfast I had! Imagine to order your favorite sunny side up and the chefs took not only twice but four tries to perfectly served the egg we requested! The choices on the menu was significantly good for first time diners but i wasn't impressed as i have had many breakfast to different hotels and they all served well not to mention having fruit smoothie all the time but not to this hotel. They don't have it.
The veil sausage was not perfectly done it looks like it was only smoked then chilled because it taste like its been cooked for sometime.
It is disheartening on my part to mention the names of the staff present that day who seems not happy to serve. They have attitudes! They were rude.
The Pool
The pool was great on the other hand. Perfectly heated to the right temperature that suits both young and old alike. The place was also clean and lifeguards were all friendly.
Not to forget the staff working in “Choices Restaurant “ where we usually have our daily meal starts from Breakfast to Dinner especially Toli, Janice, Athena, Vikram Chef 👨🍳 and so on. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
The Breakfast restaurant staff were very attentive and serve very delicious food. The room was nice and clean over the pool view (which was close due to maintenance). However we were allowed to use next door hotel’s pool.
We had amazing time during our stay and we will come back thank you for the good memories😊
The hotel itself gives off a cozy vibe, it’s a place to relax and unwind. Speaking of cozy I’ve been booked in this hotel for about 60 days, and no joke for all the times I’ve been leaving to work and come back Jeevan pugaf from the housekeeping has never failed to keep my room neat and make sure I’m always stocked with complementary water, enough tissues and simple things like ear buds , enough towels etc. he also always puts a smile on my face with his little creative towel design’s he comes up with.
Other than that, if you feel like you need to relax after a long day You can visit bodylines, their spa were you can treat yourself to a massage which wasn’t costly at all as you expect from other hotels .
When I booked for a massage I was lucky to come across Gina ,she was super professional and very friendly, expect to relax and unwind. She will ensure you are taken care off and relaxed after a long day of work, after the treatment You will then be spoiled with a selection of hot tea to help maintain the relaxation.
Last but not least, if you are tied from the Buffett food or room services, you can always visit the 2 restaurants available at the hotel, one of them for the meat cravers and the other for the more Indian traditional food, either way this hotel’s location is ideal for you to walk around and explore other restaurants or bars in the other neighboring hotels.
