A perfect 8 days. The food was great, the room spacious, the team accommodating and friendly and the beach beautiful. It was a welcomed break after 2 years without travel and the hotel is covid safe with all staff wearing masks and guests required to wear masks in the hotel too. I want to give a special thanks to Patricia Vizcaino who helped me with birthday arrangements for my husband and was incredibly helpful and prompt with her email comms ahead of our arrival. He had a wonderful dinner that evening thanks to you. It was also lovely to finally meet you when we checked out.
We spent 8 nights at the hotel, on an ultra all inclusive basis in room 3205, which was a nice central room along the stretch of deluxe sea view rooms on the 3rd floor. The room was well laid out, and had a large outdoor patio with 2 loungers, a parasol, a small table a chairs, plus a bean bag. It was well maintained by housekeeping, but that’s a theme across the whole hotel. We didn’t see anything that was broken or in need of repair / touch up / clean up etc. The room has a complementary mini bar, with beer, soft drinks and water, which was restocked daily. The super king bed was really comfortable and there was a small sofa in it too. There was plenty of wardrobe space, in which you could find the safe. The bathroom was also a good size with both a bath and shower. There’s sliding opaque, green, glass ‘patio’ door arrangement that separates the bedroom and bathroom. When pulled open you would be able to bath and see out to the sea, but we left it closed throughout. The check-in and check-out processes were all pretty simple and quick. It was also easy to book dinner at the a la carte restaurants the hotel has. The key to 8 nights is you get 4 visits to the a la cartes. 7 nights equals 3 trips. Not that you really need to go to them though as the food in the buffet restaurant was excellent. Unlike other Abu Dhabi hotels, this one didn’t prepare much by way of Chinese food, not that we missed it, but it’s testament to the mix of nationalities at the hotel. The hotel guests were predominantly Russian and European with all pallets catered for. We only tried 2 of the a la cartes in the end; the Greek and the Italian. Both were really good. The service at the Greek was a little slow but the food was excellent, including the many taster plates you get before your staters arrive. They also prepared a cake for my birthday which was appreciated. The Italian was also excellent. The food was tasty and the service pretty much spot on for speed and efficiency. We didn’t spend any time around the pool area as that looked pretty busy each day as our stay coincided with school holidays and Eid. There was plenty of space but there was music playing from some pretty sizeable speakers, along with plenty of children. Since we prefer our lounger time to be a bit more relaxed and quieter we headed to the beach each day, which has an adults-only side. The negative is the drink service isn’t as good as by the pool where you have a buzzer to request what you want. The beach itself was great. It is many kilometres long and you’re free to walk in both directions for a long distance. It’s also pretty spotless with a lifeguard on duty all day. There were classical musicians set up in lobby late afternoon each day and a live music act in the main bar each night. The bar itself is pretty enormous but served excellent cocktails, and it’s a nice place to end the evening after some delicious food. We used Careem regularly whilst at the hotel. It was around 20 mins to Galleria Mall, downtown and the mangroves we visited. It takes around 45 minutes to get to and from the airport. There is nothing I can criticise the hotel for, nor the staff, food or grounds. The things that annoyed us were wholly to do with a few guests who seemed fine with their children running around the main restaurant as people are carrying plates of food, or physically handling the fresh fruit or honeycomb (yes, we saw a child shove his hand straight in to that and walk off with some, dribbling the honey across the floor). We need to say a special thanks to Valeria who arranged a birthday dinner with my wife ahead of our arrival and who we were happy to have met on our last day. Nothing was too much trouble and she was always prompt with her email communication ahead of travel. Susma Nagar in the main restaurant was also very helpful and great to chat to over breakfast and lunch. She always made sure to check in on us and ask how we were doing. She was always so pleasant irrespective of how busy she was. A huge thank you to the entire Rixos team for making our holiday a relaxing and memorable one. We look forward to returning.…
The positive review i planned to write about this hotel has unfortunately been overshadowed by absolutely terrible customer service after leaving the hotel (it was pretty poor from front of house whilst we stayed there but the experience post has completely ruined any positives we had about our holiday). This hotel does not care about its staff and it is actually horrifying that guests are subjected to emotional blackmail. During our stay we were encouraged by many staff to tip them and leave good reviews for them as they needed extra money. We let this slide because the majority of the F&B staff were excellent and attentive and we felt they deserved recognition. We extended our stay by an extra day due to our flight time being in the middle of the night and we wanted to be able to use our room and the facilities for the full day - we were charged a full nights rate. We paid some of this in cash and the rest on card. On check out we were informed we had been overcharged on the card and so was handed our cash back. Off we went home happy with our holiday. Last week the harrassment started. I have received emails, phone calls, text messages and even messages on Whatsapp saying there had been an error and we shouldnt have been given our cash back and that we must immediately pay 800AED. My first thought was why should we, we never asked for the money back it was given to us, we never made the mistake. After stating i was not happy about this experience i agreed to send the cash back in the post but i am still awaiting a postal address for this. Because i still hadnt paid via the link the harrassment started again and i was informed via email that if i didnt pay immediately then it would be taken out of the person who made the mistakes wages. I am absolutely appalled and horrified that this is the way the staff are being treated for making a mistake - and the emotional blackmail used on a guest. Terrible customer service but even worse treatment of staff. I have asked to speak to the most senior person about this. And I await a phone call from them. I am sharing this review as a caution to anyone travelling that this luxury hotel clearly does not value its guests to treat them in this way - you will not get luxury service. I need a holiday to get over the stress going on this holiday has caused!…
THANK YOU ! Was amazing.. It was not the first time and for sure, it will not be the last.. My mother really enjoyed the SPA & Massage session. The atmosphere is amazing. Thank you Marina, Leila and all the staff. See you soon.
That has been perfect 2 weeks stay because of 2 Villa asistants - Hassan and Emrulah. Hotel itself nice and clean , huge sandy beach and hot sea. Great place for people looking for to do nothing. Kids could be entertained in Kids Club or at amusement Parks which are 15 min away by Taxi.
Amazing hospitality, service and atmosphere! The staff are incredibly accommodating, providing choices of cocktails and drinks to your liking and offering so much support on your stay. Special thanks to Irene our lovely waitress and Gayan the most impressive bar man! Highly recommend this hotel and chilling at this bar during your stay!
My Wife and I visited Abu Dhabi for the 4th time as we were very keen to experience the Louvre on Saadiyat Island. We booked the Rixos Premium Hotel, which is on Saadiyat Island, for a week and had a fabulous holiday. The room was a Deluxe Sea View on the 5th floor, lots of space, multiple wardrobes, free mini bar, gowns and slippers, balcony, etc. Breakfast is buffet style with choices from Turkey, Arabia, Asian and Western cultures. There are 3 A la Carte restaurants, Seafood, Italian and Asian and we tried them all. Absolutely great food and service with wine included. The service staff all work together in a happy manner with a great attitude to all guests. However we have to shout out a very special mention to one of the Lobby food and beverage team called Ayse who is the fastest on two legs. Ayse works non-stop in fact whilst sitting there indulging in a cup of tea or something stronger, you will get tired just watching her. She has brilliant service skills, a very friendly and professional manner and is a pleasure to know. Normally we are not keen on All Inclusive as we are not big drinkers and prefer a more relaxed dining arrangement than a buffet, but the Rixos has put together a very successful and attractive alternative. …
Having a fantastic time at the Rixos. The cocktails in the lobby bar are fantastic. The natural, friendly service from Irene & Ayse makes us feel welcome. They are knowledgeable, attentive and above all very welcoming. I hope the management of the hotel recognise and value these wonderful ladies.
We are currently staying at the Rixos Saadiyat Island hotel and this has been our favourite hotel to date, the food, cleanliness and service is impeccable, particularly from Irene at the lobby who is extremely attentive!
We used the lounge bar for our morning coffee and evening drinks/cocktails. Both were exquisite and the staff are extremely tentative and knowledgable. A special mention goes to Irene who is the most lovely staff member, she’s so kind and always goes that extra mile. Really pleasant staff all round that make you feel like home.
