I stayed at Dar Al Yasmin for seven days in July 2009 and two weeks in August 2010. It's an incredible hotel, located in the center of Bab Touma in Damascus's Old City. It's a perfect place for tourists looking to explore Damascus, whilst also relaxing in beautiful and perfectly maintained accommodations. The rooms are all well-appointed with traditional furnishings...

We had been recommended to stay here by a Dutch colleague and it didn't disappoint. My only wish is that the room were larger and that it had heating. We happened to stay in Damascus in the dead of winter and so the charm of the place was slightly lost on us. Despite that, the reception folks were wonderful, especially...

We had a warm welcome bu cold shower. The water was cold in the shower and the heater was out of order (We were travelling in January). We had to wait for another night,after...

Hotel arranged for taxi at airport to take us into hotel - in an old Damascus home that has been beautifully restored. Spotlessly clean hotel with large very comfortable single beds in our rooms. Bathrooms small - but seem to be everywhere we travelled to in Syria and Lebanon. Fantastic breakfast as well to keep you going all day. We...

“The rooms surrounding the courtyard are the most beautiful in the hotel, with tall ceilings and windows looking out into the courtyard - which is incredibly beautiful. They are quite charming - however, in the morning you will hear the sounds of tea cups clanking as other guests dine on breakfast. The rooms upstairs are a bit quieter - but arguably, a degree less stunning!”
