Positive: Staff were unbelievably kind and generous, constantly inquiring as to comfort and needs, and accommodating in every way possible. Despite some other reviews, I found the place spotlessly clean with hard-working cleaning staff. Lonelyo Planet warned of some windowless rooms, but I had a nice window. The Indian restaurant on the first floor (above G) has excellent food and... More

We recently checked out of Qatar Palace hotel, but this is my experience- we were told that the transfer will be done by the hotel, we arrived in Doha and was delayed due to immigration being crowded and only came out 2hours after our flight landed, the driver that was there to collect us from the hotel started shouting at... Hi, I have been in this hotel, the rooms smell moldy, the quality of the furniture was terrible (very old), but the worst was the restaurant; very very bad there are only Indian food, the breakfast is very poor, there is no even an espresso or croissant

This place is one of the worst I stayed ever!! It's old and tired, dirty and it smells absolutely awful although if you're a smoker maybe you wouldn't mind..Also they messed up my reservation so had to pay extra! I would never stay there again!

Good location, 5 minutes walk from Souk Waqif. Several shops and restaurants nearby and very service minded staff. Breakfast is served from 6 and you can eat for 25 QR which is more than enough. Shuttle to airport is provided for free.

The best thing about this hotel is the free airport transfer (you must e-mail the hotel beforehand though) Spacious and clean room I must say, albeit the towels provided smells like coconut oil. Air-cond a bit noisy. Complimentary newspaper every morning is a good gesture. Breakfast at the cafe is so-so, as the menu offered is quite limited, but you... More
